I totally agree...I have no idea how many pounds Amy is and only know in kgs. When people as what she was when born, I tell them in pounds or kilos depending on the persons age. Lucky I have got it right so far but most people want to know in pounds.
Ask your MCHN for a printout of weights in kgs and pounds, my MCHN gave it to me at my first visit so I know exactly what he is in kgs and pounds, makes it easier for my MIL when she asks like last time I was able to tell her that Matthew was 8.5 kg which is 18pound 12 ozs.
I too have the conversion table that Deeanne has, it's great i use it all the time.
Corey is 4.1kg which converts to 9lb1oz.
Take care Leah
you just times the kilos by 2.2 to get pounds
I have got the table too,and dont know what i would do without it...I am not a fan of measuring in kgs,it is too hard for my brain to comprehend!!!
It is strange, but I sort of do both, older people like pds and ounces better. My current mchn doesn't covert it I do it myslef using my table
cheers
Kate - I`ve just gone and had a look for you, mine goes up to 13.95 kg, I assume they`d all be the same
Mine goes up to 30lb 15ozs, which is 14.034kgs. It also says 1oz = 28.3g and 1lb = 454g.
Regards Michelle
i tell some people in pounds and other people in kilos, and it seems that i get it wrong nearly every time!! #-o when i tell them in kilos they ask what that means in pounds...oh well...
LOL I have no idea...better get up on this as we are going to America for Christmas so we had better know how much she weighs there!!! LOL
Yes Christy they will be sure to ask cos they don't do kgs at all over there!
Sounds worse too when you are 300lbs like in that weight loss show, the biggest loser!
Cheers michelle
