Hi there,
Jo - could you add this behind my CD - 1dp5dt (instead of the PUPO!) for today, thank you!
Beau - yes I'm in Perth, visiting Fert. specialists of WA. Which clinic are you at? I love my acupuncture sessions, an hour or so just pure focussing on my health. I normally do it once a week leading up to the IVF I did once and got a BFP (then a missed m/c), then just after the transfer and then weekly again. Same this FET, once weekly all the way through. We'll see how we go this time. Fingers crossed. According to the acupuncturist pregnancy acupuncture is very successful.
Juniper - You poor thing. The BFN is a definite is it? I'm so sorry, sending you big hugs. Hope the news about your ankle will be good news and that it's not broken!
Nire - am thinking of you - sending you big hugs. Nothing is certain. When I was in the same situation I did a lot of researching and there were some ladies on BB that where in the same boat. My pregnancy failed me, there is others that went through. Just hoping your bub beats the odds!
Jokerred - welkome back!
Thanks Jo. Because the ambos didn't think an x-ray was required, I never went to hospital. They only told me to ice it for 20 mins and then stop. It wasn't until I saw my Dr yesterday that she said to keep icing it and also to wrap it. I don't think I have any nurofen (or other NSAID) because we're TTC. I stopped buying them back when we were TTC#1, so anything I have would likely be out of date. I'll have to ask DH to pick some up when he buys my icecream!
The BFN was definite as AF started today (CD1 today).
Juniper - so sorry to hear bfn and hope your ankle mends quickly.
Me4ever - I am also at fertility specialists of wa. Probably seen you in the waiting room for bts. Where do you go for acupuncture.

Hope you don't mind Juniper/Jo... just thought I'd help out with this one as I noticed you hadn't got to it yet, and I was "fixing" up the first post....
Thanks Myturn for updating my info ;)
Beau - usually go for blood tests south of the river, only come once in a while for u/s and yesterday for transfer. For acupuncture I go to East meets west in Karrinyup. Have been going there for over a year.
Juniper - sending you big hugs.
Thanks for doing the list today myturn :D
Juniper: so sorry about af arriving... Please keep icing and taking NSAID's because they will help more than almost anything else!!! I have done my ankle more times than I care to remember!!! If you can, chemists usually sell pull on ankle braces, it may be worth looking into getting one as it is more supportive than bandaging... I purchased one years ago and I wear it everytime I exercise or my ankle is sore and feels like it needs the extra support... It works miracles!!! lol
AFM: I have just gotten home from a VERY VERY long day!!! Was up at 5am (after going to bed at 12:30 this morning), left the house just before 6am and arrived home at 9:35pm... Had my last exam for the year today- thank goodness!!! Just one assignment to go and I am all done for 2012!!! Lol!!!
Also have had 2 Nursing agencies call me back after sending out resumes on monday... Looks like I should have casual work available to me starting in about 2 weeks!!! Would be sooner but I will be working with the RDNS for the next two weeks doing my final nursing placement of the year...
Everything seems to be looking up, now if only we could get this meds issue sorted!!! Guess I just have to be patient until monday for my next scan, i'm almost positive the cycle will be cancelled... Thats ok though, I told my FS that I would like a REALLY SPECIAL birthday present (my 30th is in January) so I can hold on until then! Lol
Hope everyone has had a good day!!! xxx
Juniper - sorry AF arrived for you :-( I hope your ankle gets better soon and is starting to ease pain wise for you.
Me4ever - sending you some very sticky vibes, hope you get a bfp this month
Hi everyone else, I am on my phone so I can't go back to other thread to do more messages and my memory sucks lol
Afm - I am going along ok with all my meds. Feels like such a long cycle cause of the month of meds first. Picked up my gonal f yesterday do I now have a fridge stocked with meds again, just want it to be over and know if this one is going to work.
I have had a very emotional week as I got a phone call wed morning to say my SIL was in labour at 32 wks, they have managed to slow down her labour every day but I would say my little niece will be here soon. As much as I know she will be ok I have been worrying for the last few days.
Hope everyone has had a good week xo
Had another bloodtest today... HCG up to 109 so it's more than doubled in 48 hours. Still low, my FS told me not to crack out the bubbly just yet... but it's doing what it should. Maybe I implanted late?
Great news nire hope it is just a late starter and does what it should
miloro - meant to say thankyou for your feedback the other day re: decreasing fsh dose mid-cycle. hope you get to do your FET soon. :)
juniper - sorry to hear af arrived. sucks.
kerbear - hope your SIL is ok, little bit exciting you will have a little niece to fawn over soon?!
nire - sounds good so far, will you have another bt to check levels again?
afm - epu this morning & managed to get 13 eggs. was a bit surprised as i wasnt feeling uncomfortable at all really. im a little tender now though, so just slumming it on couch this arvo, heatpack on. going for a day 5 transfer, scheduled for wednesday at this stage. hoping that this will be lucky stim. cycle no. 6... ;)

Got Their BFP in November :leap:
Nire - BFP on HPT - low first beta, but great doubling time for second beta!!
Nire, that's fabulous news! I'm so happy to hear it! :happydance: A good doubling time is very promising!
Andie, congrats on the EPU results! FX for a great fertilisation rate!
Hi all,
Will make a feeble attempt at some persies!
Nire - good to hear about the doubling. Hope it continues! Good luck!!
Andie - Great haul! Hope you get more blasties than you are expecting :)
Juniper - sorry to hear about both your ankle and AF :(
Jo - I hope your follies grow FX!
Me4ever - congrats on being PUPO! I hope this is the one!
Kerbear - remind me where you are with your cycle!!! My brain is mush...sorry :(
Hi Myturn, Curtsygirl, Sarah, Miloro, Faye, Rosemarry, Bloss and Beau :hello:
AFM -took my last pill a couple of nights ago. Feel less blah already! Not a fan of the synarel but getting used to it! I have a blood test on Tuesday. I also started thyroxine because my thyroid test came back saying I am hypothyroid.
Couple of questions...
When will I get AF (well break through bleeding as I guess it's not really AF!)
Those who give up coffee, when do you start? I am contemplating giving up for this cycle.
Thanks :)
Hope everyone is well!
My fingers are crossed nire gd luck!
Having a ultrasound tomorrow to see if my follicles have settled down enough for me to hopefully release an egg naturally.
Andie - well done on your egg haul, rest up and good luck for transfer next week
N 2L - don't worry my brain is mush to lol. I am taking my estrogen and progesterone tablets and testosterone gel till cd29 then I start my gonal f and clomid.
I can't help with your other questions...sorry
Wishanddreams - I hope your scans show things have settled down a bit for you.
AFM - I didn't think I would get side effects really from what I am on at the moment but I feel so bloated and get sore in my lower abdomen when I sit to long, worries me cause I don't want to be really sore when I start the other meds in a few weeks but think that's hoping for a bit much....
My SIL is doing well, their little baby girl was born today, 2kgs but is doing really well. In NICU, I am going to visit tomorrow to see my little niece.
Have a great weekend everyone xo
n2l - I got af 4 days after last pill. I love coffee, usually 1 per day & only store bought (I'm a coffee snob). I tried to quit when starting puregon, but only managed to cut back. stopped completely 5 days before epu in an effort to keep hydrated.
w&d - goodluck for your scan tomorrow.
kerbear - congrats on your new tiny niece. hope the bloating settles for you soon. xx
Thanks Andie. I'm the same - one a day and it's a good one :)
I have never given it up during a cycle. Thought I might switch to decaf for a couple of weeks
Sneaking in to say to n2l that I gave up coffee cd1 and didnt drink it until hcg bt. Having said that I have not had coffee or caffeine soft drinks since may. I.d love a iced coffee.
Good luck to everyone. Am stalking :)
Afm - just in hiding. Hcg doubling nicely. Scan in few weeks and ob wants weekly bt till I am 12 weeks, which makes me feel better. For all of you that think you cant go on much longer, it really is worth it. Lucky my dh pushed me to keep going after each cycle.
I miss this thread as I am not ready to join a bb group yet, I seem to be in limbo. But its good to lay low. We havent told anyone yet. Only my bff and boss.
Vic xxx
Hi girls still haven't had chance to catch up in here as yet... Hope u all doing ok!!!
N2L just a quick question re PPET my FS is keen to do and has heard about it, do u know how much HCG they use as he is a bit nervous about it washing then out??? He said to use very small amount and asked me if u knew??
With regards to coffee I gave up about a month out xx
Vic just saw your post big congrats that's wonderful news! Xx
Hiya Bloss, not sure how much my FS uses but here is a study you may like to pass on....
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22047664
Thanks N2l I have everything crossed for u! Which clinic do u go too? X
Thanks! I have just started at Monash.
Thanks or the info on coffee Vic x
hi all, I am new to the forums and wish I could say new with tcc but alas here we are 2 years on and nothing. I am still getting the hang of the abbreviations so forgive me. we have had appointments with Monash and are currently waiting for laparoscopy.
Just popping in to say N2L I gave up coffee and all caffeine at the start of my cycle. It was hard because I'm normally a 3 coffee a day girl. My first two cycles I didn't give it up and bfn and the third one I did and bingo bfp, I truly believe the caffeine made a big difference! Best of luck xxx
N2L - hi there sweetie :) My first two cycles, I COMPLETELY cut out all caffeine and for me, it made no difference whatsoever. I am guessing I did for the third one as well but I think I may have had the odd one. Our last cycle, we had so much crap going on that prior to the cycle, my coffee consumption went through the roof (5 x double shots a day!!!!) but once I started jabbing, I cut back to one decent one a day. I kind of think that maybe it is what your body is used to? As in, I was having so much before our successful cycle that to cut it out completely may have been more detrimental itms? Given that a decent coffee is one of my things? And I do know that when I had completely abstained, it did make me more miserable. However, I do that we will do absolutely anything that will potentially change the outcome of a cycle. I really don't think that I have been at all helpful here but that is just how I did things. Wishing you all the luck I can possible muster up with this cycle hun, I so, so hope that this is the one for you xxx
Thanks guys :)
I only have one coffee a day but it is strong. Maybe I have decaf unless I really NEED it
I really appreciate all of your well wishes. I am still too scared to hope. Also, with the pill, DHEA and melatonin, I have put on five kilos (okay, winter gorging didn't help either :( ) It was five kilos I really really really didn't need to put on. So now I am thinking I am just wasting my time because I am so fat :(

Nire - BFP on HPT - low first beta, but great doubling time for second beta!!
Hi and welcome, kbudgie. I have a list of laparoscopy preparation and recovery tips on my blog, if you're interested. I collated the list when I was preparing for my first lap.
N2l -i am the heaviest I have been. Not too sure how much significance I put on weight and ttc. Of course its always good to be thinner than what we are, especially for afterwards xxx
Hi ladies had scan today unfortunately things havent settled.fs said it could take up to 3 weeks to go back to normal.or whats normal for me anyway.looks like thats it for iui.will be starting ivf after xmas. Am upset today but hopefully will feel better later
N2L don't let me hear you talk like that, do I need to jump through my phone and give you a slap lol. The meds are the worst for putting on weight, we just have to accept it and try and work with it.
Wishanddreams I am so sorry things didn't go as planned with the scan. If you have any questions when you start the ivf we are all here to help, everyone was so helpful when I started.
Kbudgie welcome to the craziness :-).
I will also give you a big slap n2l!!! None of that negativity thank you!
Besides popping in to threaten n2l with a slap, I thought I'd say hello to all my old buddies, and good luck where ever you are in your cycles. I'm always floating around lurking :)
I'm sorry wishanddream that the iui didn't work for you but I hope IVF works for you quickly.
Hoping to join up again after xmas, my next goal is to do a cycle in Jan/Feb xxx
:o
I had no idea the IVF girls were so violent!!!!!!
Thanks  Just feeling down because I have put on 10kg since starting clomid/ivf :(
Of course, happy to put on around three and a half kilos more (plus placenta). Just worried I am kidding myself and my weight will stop me. Oh well, can't do anything about it now and I certainly don't want slaps!!! ;) so I will just shut up
Lol n2l, I only threaten with slaps when absolutely necessary. I really am a kind, gentle woman. Kind and gentle (hehehe anyone watch the duck dynasty on foxtel?)
N2L, it's funny, but I actually lost weight while I was pg with DD. On the morning she was born (before she was born), I weighed 13kg less than EPU day. Take out the baby, amniotic fluid and placenta and my OB said I'd just lost 7kg, so I was 20kg less than EPU day at the end of the day she was born. Of course, my FS assumed I had gained weight while pg, so it was fun to correct him. Just a pity I have gained most of it back. I lost weight while I was pg last time too. I think being pg gives my metabolism a much-needed boost... My TTC journey is full of Catch-22s - pg is great for treating endo but I need the endo treated to get pg; pg makes me lose weight but losing weight will (maybe) help me get pg... *sigh*
Lol Juniper. I lost weight while pregnant with my DD too.
Often women with hormonal imbalances do because being pregnant actually helps redress some imbalances (Esp. With PCOS). My metabolism also got a nice workout
Here's to getting UTD and shedding some pounds and gaining a child!!!
