-
ange i have the Imse Vimse Swim Nappy and tankini as well as some normal girls speedos for swimming, she has only poo'd once int he pool and that was about 12 months ago, the bathers are fine, love the imse vimse becasue if she wee's prior to getting in teh pool it doesnt leak!!
-

Mr doodle...makes me think of mr noodle of elmo's world
Ness....no!!! I found some self control but ended up going to the dame pumpkin patch site and buying up there for some pg woman that i know ;)
speaking of pg woman...any news yet Ange :excited:
-
:p Maz! are you for real woman?!
-
hahahahahahaha behave or the disco bus will head down your way!!!
-
Uh oh, you know things are serious when the disco bus comes into things, and I don't even know what the disco bus is...:P
I have the rainbow Kozy Designs longies, Riv's wearing them now (he loves them). Gigi's not convinced on them for nights, but I maintain that every bub wees differently (like with our Baby BeeHinds discussion!), so they're worth a shot, and do the job for daytimes anyway. I really like to look of the toadstool ones...
-
mateauz wears the longies that mel made for him at night...I swear byt hem....god now Nelle...im thinking about them daem rianbow ones again!!!!!!
Disco bus.....well...Remember that meet up we had at anges....Our car out dusty and wilhelm decided to write disco bus on the side and jed was so not impressed! We drove all the way home with it on both sides!
-
 Disco bus? That's amusing. I mean, I can see where the unimpressed state comes from, but toooo funny!
WOHB: Sposie... he pooed in the BBB as soon as I put it on, again... so we're all out of dry night nappies.
-
I finally got around to making up a nappy from teh Red Minkee Gigi sent me (she sent me pink & red, I did the pick as a AIO a while back) I did the Red as a AI2. And in true "thats a great nappy" style Isla managed to poo in it! I didn't even know till I took it off much to my disgust. She has been asking to poo in the potty the last few days as well as actually get upset if she starts to poo before I get the nappy off. But for the sake of christening a new nappy she kept quite about it & squeezed one out! Little bugger!
I use my kozy designs soaker at night. The thought never crossed my mind that it wouldn't be enough...
-
I so feel like buying another nappy - must be sick or something, can't find anything that I absolutely must have.
How long does an IB usually last your bubs for??? I'm not sure how long we had DSin his this arvie (he took a nap though) and he leaked down the legs and up his front!!! Cot sheet, towel underneath, his wrap and mattress - all soaked!!! Think I have washed it 2, maybe 3 times? Does this happen to anyone else???
WOHB: sposie.. raining up here, can't get nappies dry.... :(
-
FJ, I think the doubt is because I've heard Kozy longies are 4ply wool, but I don't think they'd sell if they didn't work would they...perhaps, like any cloth nappy product, there are a few people who don't find them great. We've got 2 pairs though.
Oh, I heard him telling you he'd written on the car, but I didn't know what. That's funny (erm, I mean, oohh naughty Wilhelm). Did he just write with his finger in the dust? (Please tell me he didn't use anything permanent!!)
-
I got fluffy mail..........thanx PP and Lea
1 bbb fitted
2 magicalls.
I have to BBB in rotation for nights at the moment and the strange thing is that Cooper never poos at night EXCEPT when he has his green one on, the last 3 nights he has worn it about an hour after I put it on he poos, never in his orange one just the green........hmmmmmmm will have to see how he goes in the blue one tommorrow night.
WOHB....ORANGE bbh and wool cover
-
Ange.....? Got something to share.....?
Sparrow the rash is probably caused by the poo burning not by the cloth. Also I found sudeocreme to be the worst for nappy rash. It seemed to make it worse! Get some flushable liners so your nappies don't get clugged up and use something like bepanthen or amolin and see how that goes.
I did a wee order at baby beehinds. Got some pink BBB's, wool covers and a wetbag coming my way. Would have got a LS but they were out of stock.
Mel I wouldn't put an IB on for a nap to be on the safe side. Caleb is a tummy sleeper and the design being so trim doesn't work for him then.
Maz I don't need to hear about you shopping for a PG woman you know  I feel bad enough already as it is! LMAO at disco bus  Wilhelm is such a crackup!
FJ well done! It's so exciting and you're as good as finished now  Which band have you done? I've been trying to learn the enclosed elastic version on some scrap wool tonight. Interesting!
WTG Isla ;) She obviously like the new nappy!
-
Sam - thanks for the tip...Aricyn is a tummy sleeper too...
Oh and congrats on having a girl too - I kept forgetting to say something... *damn pregnancy brain!!*
-
Nelle, I think its 8ply, Im using 8ply atm & seems the same.
Sam, I prefer the drawstring so thats what i have done. Although I think its a bit tight. Not sure will see when its finished I guess. I did a gusset & all. Very exciting LOL
-
Ok I gave into temptation (with DH's Blessing) and bought a nappy with what I had in paypal. so no money out of my pocket, but I still felt naughty. Does anyone else get that?
so now I am waiting on fluffy mail! It is a red moo moo cushie tushies basix. I love fluffy mail! must put some stuff on Ebay or in the classifieds so I have more in my paypal! any money already in paypal is nappy money in this family.
-
Maz, please tell me that the disco bus has a mirror ball hanging from the rear vision mirror? :p
I just realised I've been a bit absent the last few days - I've been lurking, but am overwhelmed by the insane amounts of fluffy spending going on. And I'm still a'waiting my purdy pink WC - so nothing exciting to report in the way of fluff myself.
WOHB: Sugarpeas wool-in-one boosted with (eep) microfibre in the vain hope that it will hold the night. Been rainy up here today and everything's still drying.
-
 You go and look at MCN online stores and you guys go and get 2 new pages of thread going!!
Now I'm late for bed (got to shower & express before I can go to bed!) but I just HAD to have a look around for any other MCN bargains... didn't find any :(
You guys have me hooked! :p
WOHB - sposie...
-
OMG... all last night whilst trying to sleep.... what was I thinking of.... friggin longies...
christ... ;)
WOHB: he is still sleeping (good boy, get rid of that flu), so still a sposie..
-
hi girls...
i have discovered with the $600+ ive spent in the past 2 weeks ... i have no $$ left but really want 2 x wet bags....
suggestions on who sells them the cheapest?
Have my Magicall i got as af freebie from BBH's but not sure if i am going to use it.. it is a purple medium.... mmmm i like the fitteds? Perhaps i can do a swap for a wetbag (or 2 ) if anyone is interested?
-
FJ- ROFL @ isla waiting to crap in a new nappy! That is a chick that knows quality.
Anyone know how Gigi is going?
I would love the Disco come to visit Disco MAz! That's no threat! ('Disco Maz' Kinda has a ring to it! ;) )
Mel- NO MORE NAPPIES!
I want a LS too Sammi. Think i'll just have to bite the bullet. I love that enclosed elastic waistband, it's on my loopy lilly longies. I find it much easier on a little wriggler!
I'm a bit excited, going to have some waxing and beauty treatment done while my GF watches Lu. A gift voucher from Feb! About time! Before you know it i might even get a haircut! lol
WOHB? Swaddlebees.
-
Oooo Ange be careful of you'll end up UTD after that pampering :)
FJ I'm not sure which band I prefer. I've got longies with both. I think tight is better then loose and I'm sure it may give a bit if you use gentle persuasion.
Mel thanks! I'm still finding it a bit hard to get my head around TBH.
Nettie haha!
Suse I got like that for a while. I really haven't bought much this year at all, but am making up for it now though
WOHB got no idea as DH put him to bed. Hope it's still holding up!
-
Sam - I can understand that.. all this pregnancy I thought I was carrying another boy!!! I'll still be surprised if it comes out pink I think!!!!
Ange - ooh you're no fun... no more nappies at all??? ;)
WOHB: IB - giving it another go - this time no NAP...
-
well last night BBB with 8 extra layers of bamboo (2x double bi folds) did not wirk!! i cant believe that 12 layers of bamboo couldnt hold her!!
She was so soaking wet this morning and stunk so bad i had to bath her!!!!

-
-
-
Gorgeous new ticker pic Maz - BIG MAN!! Punky is almost there too! You must be soooo happy - aw, I'm even getting teary over here!! ...can I ask you please... what is Vy's favourite colour....?? ;)
PP - I got my one & only wetbag from greenkinds on ozebaby as it was seconds.... dunno why it was seconds, cheap & works great. It's a good size too, fits a whole day out's worth of nappies without issue.
-
Thanks QueenMab!
I will have a look on there. i am thinking i will need one for day care and personal use (esp with 2 in cloths)
i know BBH have them for $15 each :) have you placed your order yet Mel... sorry i am bad at thinking about things
My mandy macs still havent arrived... have 12 BBB in the machine ready to wash... it is pouring rain.... why is the universe against my cloth world!! :lol:insert crazy woman rant and rave here
With the prewashing of things... do you have to do them to new wool covers? ie the soak and lanolise or should they be good to go?
-
Depends PP, it might say on the site whether they come lanolised or not. Or you might not want to lanolise them anyway (eg. many of us don't lanolise our BBH wool covers). I suppose a prewash is always good, to get rid of manufacturing residues, but it's a step that many people bypass with covers.
Maz, breastfeeding for 6 months! What an achievement.
I'd better go do some washing, running out of nappies at the moment...and need to send an email too, one of my BumG has got shot elastic and it's less than 3 months old, so I might go see where I stand there.
-
Nelle - thanks
Do you wash them in wool wash or can you throw in normal wash with the nappyes (in a garment bag of course)?
Also surely 3 months is under warranty!
-
I wash my BBH ones in the machine, and the Kozy Designs ones can handle the machine too (in a washbag though, without causes pilling!). I think I read the Kozy's use machine washable wool. Never on anything too warm though, cold is best.
Anything hand knitted, like if you knit your own, or you buy a pair from a WAHM, would be best handwashed though. If you're in doubt, then treat it gently I guess.
-
i've got a heap of wool things here that need washing, but not sure what to use with them? Just wool wash or something? Or is normal detergent ok? My machine can do a wash specifically for woollens so I'd say its pretty gentle, but unsure as to what to put in the machine with it.
WOHB:... Cushie Tushie I think... yeah.. a pink one.. LOL
-
this is what i am trying to figure out too Mel
i see that baby isnt here yet ! lol (how are you feeling).
The BBH info book says to use wool wash....? then to soak and lanolise ?
WOHB - Khaki CB AIO pocket with bamboo booster
-
HAPPY SIX MONTHS MATEAUZ & MAZ!!! Maz - you have legendary boobies and you've done so well to feed for six months!! WHOOO HOOO! (I can't believe that he is six months old already, but then I can't believe that Euan is over 7 months old either).
Why oh why does my son do sneaky poos? I just about have to stick my hand in and feel his bum-crack (not the funnest job in the world) because now that he does proper people poo it sticks to his ar$e and not the nappy, so if I look down the back and in each leg it looks like there's nothing there, but when I open the nappy he's got a big nugget stuck to his bum.
Still no WC... Nappies are in the dryer. He saturated the Sugarpeas number we had on last night, but didn't leak. Whew.
Re: wool - if machine washing I'd def. use a wool or delicates cycle and a washbag- cold and with a gentle spin cycle. Wouldn't use normal detergent, and wouldn't wash with normal nappies. If in doubt, I'd handwash.
WOHB: BumG
-
I've got all my MCN in the washing machine as we speak - including our first poo-ey one. I've pre-rinsed and put them on a full cycle (we usually only do a 'quick wash' as it's more water/energy efficient and cleans just as well). We'll see how they clean up. Hope we get some sun this arvo or tomorrow so I can hang them outside...
Now... back to shopping ;)
