Well have just brought the kozy designs butterfly longies!!!
i now should hopefully be set for night!! i have 6 fitted nappies and 3 longies with one more pair being knittted!!
now for MJ i need longies for her too
-
2 weeks till tax return yay!!!!! and we are getting enough back to pay all the bills, including the interest free no repayment Credit Card, buy a dryer, and buy some nappies, :woot:
DH forgot to change Sarah out of a BumG with GK booster before he put her to bed. Making him do it now or deal with the flood in the morning. He is doing it now.
Weighed Em today, she is now 9.5 kg so getting into the larges more. she feels heavier than Sarah, but she is more of a dead weight, whereas Sarah can even it out on me. Sarah is definitely heavier than her.
Still no fluffiness here, and waiting on a few! including wipes foamy wash.
-
Tax time is gr8t isnt it Ali...I should have mine by Friday. then I still get the $600 per child in a couple of weeks yeah..........nappy shopping.
-
Three hours to get her to sleep
She is now in her THIRD night nappy for those three hours
(this is why i am glad we have enough night nappies!!!).
Poor thing was unwell, no wonder she was so unsettled.
If i was still at that PND clinic, according to their advice, bilby would be lying in her business all night - according to those "experts", any crying is for attention. Well, bilby's crying was to tell me "mum, i've been sick again, help!".
WHoever, in the last thread, raved about the organic wool, i think that's the one i have seen on ozebaby and sustainablehempproducts, glad to hear it's lovely and soft, good to hear recommendations. (ha ha, i sound like i knit LOL - i can dream).
ANyone able to think of AI2 front snapping brand that come in pink minky?
So far the suggestions have been bits for bots, iish fly - any others you can think of?
Nelle, great to see you back.
Alioops, sounds like you'll be enjoying yourself in a fortnight's time! (ker ching).
Kazbah, how is Pip faring?
WOTBB: 3rd night nappy in three hours!!! Lotus Nights with flongies - cos if she is ill again, that's one less pair of longies to wash/lanolise. I can't get the column heater or the blow heater to work in her room, worried she will wake up due to being cold. i'm feeling very heater incompetent. Hard to check everything when she's finally asleep and i've got very little light to see hard to get at powerpoints etc.
-
 Gigi, hope Bilby stays asleep for a bit. I know how hard it is when you want to check everything to try and keep them asleep, but you're worried about waking them while you do it! You feel like you can't win! Maybe pop an extra blanket over her and leave it at that.

Gigi what Sez said, but said with my caring and concerned voice (because I care about you too!). It sucks when they're unwell hey.
Speaking of babies lying in their business, not on River's watch - scared the hoowhatsit out of me while we were playing video games by appearing at my side, sopping, stinky and grinning.
The sopping was his waterbottle which he'd poured all over himself, the stinky was a poo, and I assume the grinning was that he was rather pleased with himself for managing to open his door and escape.
He's definitely worth a giggle, that kid.
Fluffles are on sale at Nurture, I'm tempted, because of my love affair with Tots Bots...realistically though...I probably should focus on Larges for Riv. Or OSFA's.
Gigi, I'll keep my eye out for Front snapping Pink Minky...BP's are side snapping so...hmm...haven't seen any pink D'Lish...
-
Ooh done Gigi, spanks for that. So glad you have enough night nappies for such emergencies... I wouldn't even think of that when considering what I need in my stash tbh... maybe I need more night nappies.... Hope everyone at your house gets some goooood sleep tonight, speaking of which, I better get off the computer!!
-
Gigi, Itti have pink ones I just looked!
I can't even pretend I'm typing this from bed, now I've told you my lappy's broken, can I...
-

We went the sposie route last night - did have a Sandmans dry... but he had a bit of nappy rash - which I BET was caused by the fact that grandma looked after him the other day from 7.30am to 6.30 and only did two nappy changes.. TWO!!!!!!! OMG.. I do so many during the day.....
Now he is in sposies till rash clears up... GRRRRR...... thank god Huggies were on special at Big W today!!!!!
WOHB: Sposie :(
-

THat is crazy. even for sposies that would be crazy!
Well i am glad the sun has satyed out that means my BBB will he dry for tomorrow.
I cant believe it is the weekend already and i have to go back to work.. i swear the weeks get shorter and shorter (although you b probably dont feel it gudism... wheres this baby!!!)
HOw long will they leave you before intervening?
WOHB - Blue CB pocket
-
PP - I know 2 changes is crazy.. stupid woman. (Bloody MIL...)
They'll let me go 14 days over so I could still be here for another two weeks. I've got a funny feeling about tuesday though..... so we'll have to see. I'm scrubbing walls down today - thou I don't want to go on the weekend, want to wait till during the week so I get my OB for sure.. lol
-
im very excited for you - how do you think you will go :)
i have been thinking alot about the 2 under 18 months thing lately (although it is too late to turn back lol).. excited but hoping routine will quickly follow~ P)
-
MEL!
Fluffy mail!
4 x L BBH PUL for you! 2 x green, 1 purple and 1 blue :)
-
PP - 2 under 18 months will be fine - well you'll be fine. Mine is already 18 months, and is getting better by the day, so I'm not as worried as I was about 4 months ago!!!! He really was a little nightmare.. he's actually quite pleasant to be around these days.. lol
Wish I had fluffy mail.. but alas! Twasn't meant to be...
-
Fluffy mail here too, not my longies but a WC dreamy nigts in the standard side. So much smaller then the plus size.
-
Dont fret Mel - my are only 2nd hand BBB. :( all i could afford but fluffy mail all the less. i hope they are still absorbant... should i do a strip wash just in case.. (what does that involve again?)
FJ- will it be big enough? I so need to learn to knit! they are so cute
-
PP I would think 2nd hand BBB would be MORE absorbant than new since it would have been washed umpteen times already?! Strip wash = hot wash with a smidge of diswashing liquid.
-
thanks MAB - i hope they are ok :) how long has punky been in cloths for?
-
Since birth PP - although it was nae funky MCN, we went 'old skool' with terry flats lol. Had a 'sposie period when we moved from Syd to Melb but have been sposie free for, wow, months now! Woohoo! :)
-
wooohoo!
i have 2 boxes of huggies sposies for #2. and about 12 small Mcn's... will see how we go..
not sure about the runny poo lol
-
oh the newborn pooh!!!!
I just had to do a strip off and bath for my little madam who decided her dlish needed to be crapped in......oh and apparently her suit needed to be covered in poop!! omg it was everywhere
I am sitting her thinking about the nappy in the bathroom which needs squirting!!!!
WOAB: lime DLISH
WOMB:bubblebubs

Gigi - hope the Bilbster is OK this morning? Poor little possum (mixing my marsupial metaphors). Give her a big hug or ten from me please and hope she's all better soon.
Well, Mr E in the spanky pink dotty minky WCDN was a success - dry as a bone (after only 1 pre-wash) in the morning, outer still not wet. Yay-a-roo! And best of all, he looked so purdy in it. His grandma the gender conformist wanted to 'accidentally' lose it, until I told her how much night nappies cost so she grudgingly conceded to not mind her grandson wearing pink as long as it was covered with a suitably manly cover. :cryinglaugh: I am so going to get him that t-shirt which says 'tough guys wear pink too'.
Nelle - I can't get over how much Si has grown - he is such a cutey. I suppose they do that growing thing, don't they. Clever River too, figuring out how to escape. We got a baby cage (playpen) for Euan, which he headbutts to try to move across the room. Nothing's going to hold this kid back for sure. Eep.
That's it for sort-of nappy news from me, better go make lunch whilst the small human is still asleep. He's been asleep for ages - fell asleep in the new connecta (carrier) whilst out and has stayed asleep whilst I got him in and out of the car, so I can't see my luck lasting too much longer.
WOHB: Berry Plush
-
PP, I put it on Isla & it fits LOL, But was bought for Mr doodle
-
Oh Bea - I had that experience with a d'lish not so long ago - commiserations to you hon. Mine was all over the car-seat, now I'm scared to put a d'lish on him anywhere near the car.
-
Im doing my best not to buy any NB sposies!
I will do this MCN all the way!
-
FJ - i took Ashley to Mygym today. it was ok - very expensive though. $72 for 3 visits. not sure i can justifiy the money, have you been there?
Will you use prefolds or MCN's? I bought them before i went to cloths FJ (the sposies)... thinking of selling them to my sister and buying flannel instead and making prefolds.. what do you think? i figure i am washing anyhow!
Advice?? I bought a 2nd hand BBH wool cover of a girl online, and it is so badly shrunk it is the same size as a medium :( not what i was hoping for. Would you say something (although there is nothing you can do).. or just leave it ?? i am leaning towards leave it but thought i would ask what you thought?
WOHB - Purple BBB + Blue PUL
-
AHAHAH STOP TALKING SO MUCH  I CANT KEEP UP
i got fluffy mail - thank you Fiona they are gorgoues!!!! and I also got 2 IB boo's in a large..ahh nioce.
Just gotten back from Mateauz scan...goodnews and bad...still has brain damage but the clots are very minimal!! WOO HOO!!!! now if only he'd BF properly!
BBL have spew and pooh on me
-
Thats good to hear the clots are minimal! *hugs*
Did they give you any hints of getting him to bf?
What flufy mail did you get... share share share! lol
-
PP, Im not in Brissy so have no idea where your talking about LOL sorry.
I have about 30 prefolds made from that Cotton rich fleece I mentioned in the other thread & hmmm maybe about the same in MCN. I haven't done a NB in cloth yet so it will just be trial & error to start with. I would like to get some Bamboo terry squares as well but having trouble justifing the price when I already have what I do.
As for your wool cover, I would double check the listing to amek sure she hasn't mentioned it & then maybe let the seller know.
