I think girl - I can see the 3 lines (but I'm no expert!)

From those pics i was told Girl....but then 2 weeks later at another place i was told its definately a boy....unfortunately we never got any pics from that scan...
Sorry Kimbaz but I am hopeless and can't pick whether it is a boy or girl. Sorry.
Im sorry i cant help as I am hopeless at knowing what is what on scans. But i have heard that if they think it is a girl at first then it is not certain as sometimes it can grow at different rates and they might not be able to get the best look at teh time of the scan. If they tell you it is a boy then they are normally right. They can make mistakes but if the bits are there - then the bits are there! IYKWIM!
My first thought was girl t=but then I looked a bit harder and I think boy.. Ia m definitly no expert on it though.. just my guess
I can''t tell either sorry. But are you able to get a 3D scan done later on? Cause they'll definatly be able to tell then.

I've actually heard that too. They can't say its a boy unless they actually see the bits. So it often happens that you are told girl & get boy, but its pretty rare the other way around. Usually if they say boy, its a boy.
Maybe you could ask for another scan. Just tell your gp you need to be sure to organise yourself.
A friend of mine went back twice & had an appt booked each following week just to find out the sex of her DD.

I have the gut feeling it's a BOY now. I guess because you said the sonographer at your 2nd scan was much better and more experienced? Shame you didn't get a pic.
When we got told the gender at our 19wk scan she showed us what we were looking at.... either 3 lines or the penis. Your 3D scan will confirm it for sure hun......
I have a 4D scan on 23rd Nov....but thats another 9 weeks and 2 days away!!!!!
I think it is a girl also... but I have no idea because I have never found out a babys gender before.

I'd go with the later scan though as things should have been a little clearer on that being a little later.
I have a neighbour who got told on 8 sep occasions that she was having a boy only for a little girl to pop out so it is def possible for them to get it wrong.
That looks very similar to my ultrasounds with my 3 girls! so yeh looks like your having a girl cause that looks like a vagina to me....in my case this time im hoping to find a little doodle seeing i have 3 girls already but i have to wait 7 weeks to find out

Yeah 9 weeks is a long wait. But we'll all get you through it! Mines not until November either until i find out for very sure. I have a pic of bub from the scan but you really can't tell and she said it was really hard to tell.
Looks like a girl to me, I can see the 3 lines, looks like my scan, and we are having girl, Ive had the sex checked 4 times by 4 different sonographers...haha.
It's a boy!! I have no doubt!
Ill either find out in 9 weeks....otherwise roughly 16 weeks time when BumbleBee makes their appearance!

With your latest scan, you got no pics but did you get a DVD? Can you play it on your PC & do snap shots? Thats how I get all my pics.
My Doula was told with one of her babies that it was a boy, even at 32 weeks. Well the doodle must have fell of because it was a girl at birth.
eta - assuming I am looking at the right spot, I would have to say girl as I can see 3 lines.
That's a shocking picture, if I were the sonographer I wouldn't have told you what it was - it's too hard to tell, but if the area inside the little box is what we're meant to be looking at, then my money is on boy The lines are nowhere near close enough together to be a vagina, but there is a little round bit towards the top of that box that makes me think scrote instead.
Fiona i got nothing at my last scan...was all through the hospital..so no pics, no DVD's and no feedback..its only what i listened to carefully and read on the screen as the scan was being done... :(
The only feed back i got was 'more then certain definately a boy'..LOL

Yes it was a bit of a shock for her & her DH, They were excited at the thought of a littl eboy after having a few girls. She is preg again with #6 & said she wont be finding out this time because of that LOL. She post on here, Tracey and tribe.
Kimbaz can you please let us know when you do find out! Maybe take your picture to another sonographer and ask them what they think?? Hope you arent stressign too much and can find out some answers soon. x

I think your baby is a boy even based on this scan picture. This is why:
1. The three lines present in your scan are in the wrong place to be a girl. They are not in between the legs as they need to be. Also, the cord can show up as three lines in a scan, and because one of your lines appears to be so much longer than the others, it doesnt seem consistent with other girl u/s pics Ive seen.
2. I can see a 'shadow' in between the legs which may be the boy bits.
3. The 'goods' are much easier to be seen after 20 weeks, therefore they were probably right when they said boy at your second scan. Remember I was told girl at first, then boy!
I hope Im right. Let us know when you have your next scan.
kim, can you photo shop the pic to outline the legs, bum etc?

Kim I have had 2 boys so I know a penis when I see one on u/s and I have to agree with Tanya, thats a boy! Im pretty sure I can see a set of testicles in that pic and that is the best way to tell. Both my boys balls were seen from 13wks, a big mass of grey just under the bottom which you have in your pic.
Good luck with the 3D scan though, I sure hope its still a boy then!

Kim, flatly refuse to leave the 3D till you are happy with the gender shot and 100% sure what it is!

All these boys are making me excited again....i sure hope it def is a boy now...even though i was attatched to my girl....a boy was our aim and we swayed for it!!
