What do you feed your 9-15mth old for breakfast??
I'm struggling a bit with DS... He's gone off the "baby" cereals but isn't interested in weetbix yet... Nor does the 9mth+ farex interest him...
He'll gnaw on a bit of toast if we have that but doesn't really eat it...
I know food is fun until he's one, but he just doesn't eat more than mouthful or two before turning his head away. Surely he should have a bit more than that?
DD2 is about 15mths old she eats
Toast, Weetbix, Soy Yoghurt, Fruit, Pancakes.. i'm a mean mum so have only just introduced cereal and she likes rice bubbles.
Mine have porridge every day! If I have bananas they get one mushed up with honey - otherwise just with honey. They both love it and I feel happy they have had one decent meal in the day!
When they were younger they got toast,raisin toast, french toast, pikelets, scrambled egg (pre egg allergy for DS) weetbix with pureed fruit in it at that age and once I started porridge I would put in a Raffertys into it as well.
Thanks ZF, I'd hardly say you're a mean mum, sounds like she has yummy brekkies! How often do you do pancakes - I'm in two minds about how healthy they are or aren't??
Ooh porridge, I hadn't thought of that Tan! Might give that a go.
Pancakes are once every couple of weeks, really it's flower, milk & egg so def not unhealthy - the girls like theirs with fruit and a bit of yoghurt.. i basically scrape on some yoghurt, pop on mango or bananas (whatever fruit we have) and they love it.
I often grate apple into the mixture and do apple & cinnamon.. it's BEAUTIFUL :)

My DD is 14mo- we do weetbix, toast and fruit most days.
Some days, I do pancakes- but rarely.
Ps I stole ZF's recipe for pancakes also :) YUM!

DD is 10 months old, we do fruit, yoghurt and I also make her these vege muffins. She also has toast with cheese and vegemite or rice crackers with the same.
If you do toast, how much toast will your LO eat?
If you do weetbix, how many bix will your LO eat?
how much yoghurt?
DD is not a huge breakfast eater-:
She'll have 1 piece of toast and 1 weetbix OR 2 pieces of toast :)

DS is nearly 15 mths (11 mths corrected) and he will eat 1-2 pieces of vegemite toast or 1-2 weetbix.
We occasionally do pancakes or yogurt and fruit (equivalent to a small child tub)
Porridge is great. Toast fingers with vegemite. A weetbix crushed up and served with warm milk.
A muffin (the type you put butter and vegemite on) cut into fingers. Same with a crumpet.
Cheerios, Nutri Grain..she can pick these up himself and eat them.
Sultana Bran with warm milk.
A whole bannana.
You could make up a batch of pikelets and he can have that with strawberries or whatever on top. The pikelets will last a couple of days in an air tight container.
When we have a fry up on the weekend, DD will have some bacon, a finger of toast dipped in our egg. Loves breakfast sausage!
You could boil an egg up and see if he will dip toast in it?
French toast or eggy bread as some people call it.
Home made fruit salad.
My LO is nearly 12 months old and won't get through 1/4 piece of toast. if we do vita-brits, we give her 1/2 of a bix and if we are lucky she will eat 1/2 of that.
She loves yogurt though but a tub of yogurt still lasts 3 or 4 days.
she will eat anything but just doesn't eat much of anything.
At that age we did muffins, crumpets, toast, cereals, porridge, pancakes/crepes, eggs in a variety of ways and always fruits :)
Sorry to hijack- but what other cereals as opposed to weetbix?

scrambled egg (by itself, for some reason he doesn't like that on toast)
pickletts (but rarely)
fruit with yoghurt
wheatbix
toast and vegemite...
baked beans on toast!
DS was never a big eater at that age either... but he's coming around now! Don't worry too much, a child has never starved themself to death :) I know easier said than done, i used to worry silly too but now I have hindsite ;)
Anything they can pick up themselves like Cheerios, Nutri Grain (I use these as going out snacks too):
Porridge.
I ran of weetbix one morning and tried Sultana Bran with warm milk..she loved it.
