how many children do you have?

How many children do you have and what are pros and cons? How do you cope financially, emotionally etc

I have 5 (4 living) and want another. Not sure why, i must be crazy!
We have a big house, all baby things since the twins still use it and a car big enough for another.
DH is 1 of 10 and wants a large family. Im 1 of 2 so even the amount i have now is a lot compared to what im used to.
Some reasons i want another:
get a vbac
bf past 12 months
enjoy the slow pace of one baby (although if twins again id be happyish)
hopefully kill that nagging in my head for one more. It wouldnt be for a while yet though

I thought it was hormones but since i dont ovulate with the mirena fertiliy hormones wouldnt effect me would they?

The mirena a doesn't stop ovulation, it only prevents implantation.

We have 3 and I would love another, but DH doesn't. It was a compromise for him to have 3, so another one is not going to happen :( We would need a new car if we were to have another, and all new baby stuff since I have been getting rid of it all as DS2 has grown out of it.

We have 1 and another on the way. I am one of 5 (4 living) children. And my DP is one of 3 but his dad is one of 8.

At first when we started talking about having children i liked the idea of 2 or 3 but he likes the idea of a large family. We agreed on 3 at first then 2 later on. Now i'm thinking that 2 would be just fine but we will have as many as we think we can afford. Babies/toddlers aren't too expensive its when they grow up i worry my kids will have my upbringing and i never want my kids to worry about money.

Plus i'd like a career at some point and be done having kids before im 30. It was 25 but considering im 24 this year i don't think i could have another by my birthday next year (december) its do-able but i'm not sure!

I have 3, but only 1 living. I would have loved 4 living kids but have to settle for 1 :( unless I find a surrogate. If someone had a baby for me, or if I could carry to full term I would definitely have more!

DH and I have agreed on three since DD was born but we just bought 2 acres which we'll be building on later this year and DH just got a hefty raise, lately he's been making comments about having "a few more kids". I'm not commenting, just let him come to whatever conclusion he's going to. I'd love a bunch of kids and he knows that.

Prior to actually having my own children i used to say i want 4 or 5. Then when i realised what was involved i thought that maybe 2 was enough :lol: DH and i had pretty much settled on that. Then we had our beautiful surprise and now i definately want one more. Not sure if it will happen, i do have some convincing to do on DH's side of things but the fact that i have this 'feeling' which i have never had so strong previously has me believing in myself that it's a true feeling. So i have 3 children and want 1 more.

I went and saw a psychic medium prior to being pregnant with DD. She told me my 'daughter was there' and even at the time i said to her ok but i still don't think so... I'm thinking i might go back again and see what i can suss out.

Little dream/fantasy of mine is when i used to watch the Brother & Sisters show on TV. I want to be surrounded by my kids, as babies, as children, as teenagers, as young adults... on and on. I've always had the vision in my head :redface:

We have 2, I would love a 3rd DH says no more due to financial implications when they are older. As would need bigger house, couldn't afford to live as close to city as we are and off course want them to be able to do sports and music etc.

I'd love to have more. I always wanted five. I'm young enough to have more - just need to find the right man.

I'm not particularly worried about money. I'll need to put a second storey on my house though, which will cost about $150K. Still cheaper than moving and buying a new house though. I love the area I live in, I have a 7 seater car... a wonderful job....

A decent man would be nice :)

I am an only child, I never really wanted kids. I have 2 and that is enough for me :lol:

From a financial, house, car and lifestyle perspective we cut it pretty tight but I can work part time and we can still do what we want and live inner city.

From an age and emotional perspective I think 2 is enough and I feel too old now to go through the baby phase again. I love the dynamic of my 2 girls and their relationship.

I have three. I have always said that I wanted four children. I am very undecided at the moment as to whether I want more. We have a big house on acreage, we could afford to house and educate one more. I would need a new car, but that's not a huge deal (although I love my car!!). DH and I have work sorted out so that we both work but we don't need childcare, the kids always have one or the other of us at home.

I'm not sure why I am not definite about having another? I feel probably 50/50 for/against. I'm almost 35 so I don't have forever to decide! DH is pretty much in the same headspace as me. We will decide over the next 12 months or so.

I visited a psychic a few years ago and she told me there were two more souls waiting for me... DD2 is one of them! I can't just leave that other little soul waiting, can I??!!

I have one and one on the way, always wanted 3 children but have issues TTC. Once bub #2 is born we either need to decide to try straight away (not ideal) or take the risk of having a baby when im older. Im no spring chicken =)

No you ovulate....! It prevents implantation by thinning out uterus wall, hence no period as there isn't anything to shed

I have 1 in heaven, 1 running around and 1 cooking! From the age perspective, I'm too old in my own personal opinion (and speaking on behalf of my weary body) to have one more after this one, but I would love to have 3 living kids. I will have 3 kids, just not all here with us :( Financially we're good, but I want to be young enough to have enough energy to run around with them! If I'd consider one more after this one, realistically I would be almost hitting 44....

I have two with another on the way. When I met DH we said probably two, but maybe three. Took a while to get to the decision of three with lots of doubts along the way but now I can't wait and know we've made the right decision.

Unfortunately I wonder if maybe I won't want another one after this little girl is born. Financially and emotionally we could do it. We would be ok house wise, car wise etc but I'm just too old now. Probably too old for this one if the truth be told.
