3 year old kinder in 2013 - who else is going?

My son is starting kinder next year and he's very excited already. He goes to childcare currently as I work 3 days a week but my parents retired so that meant we could do community based kinder as opposed to kinder at childcare. I'm excited about the whole thing. I really liked kinder!

We went to visit recently to drop off money for t-shirts. He didn't want to leave! Had a massive tantrum. Even his 15 month old brother cracked it as I think he wanted to stay too.

So who else is starting? Have you started to talk about it yet?

I am in NSW so it is different but DD1 moves to the preschool room at her daycare next year. She is very excited as she loves the teacher that is in there.

yes ds2 is starting next year. pretty excited!!

DD2 will be going as well.

DD is going next year as well - 2 mornings a week. She already tells me she is big now and can go to school :)

I really think she will love the experience and I will enjoy some time with only 2 kids at home for a few hours on Mondays & Wednesday :)

It might only be 3hrs, I am excited, she desperately needs it :lol:

DD1 is going. She turns 4 in March so will be one of the older ones. I'm SAHM and she's never been away from me before (other than the odd babysitting by my mum). She's very excited - the other day she did her first poo on the potty and shrieked "Now I can go to kinder!" :lol:

oh wow! im jealous pacrac. i cannot for the life of me get ds2 out of nappies. im really hoping it happens over the summer holidays so i can send him to kinder in undies.

ds2's sessions will be 2 x 2 hours per week. what about others?

DD2 is fully TT she actually goes to 3yo Kinder this year but will be repeating next year as she is a March baby.
She TT because she wanted to be like her friends :)

She will be doing 1 x 3hr session a week, they use to do 2 x 3hr sessions but because of the new 15hrs for 4yo Kinder we only have enough room to run 1 session now.

My son is doing 2 x 3 hours, on Tuesday morning and Thursday arvo.

I just need to get him toilet trained and then we are good to go. I'm pretty sure he's nearly there so we will take the next few months to get it perfected.

My fees are $390 per term + a $50 admin fee + a refundable working bee levy of $50

DD is hopefully going to a 3 year old "play school" (we are in WA). The only kindys in our area are religious and DP won't even consider the meeting with the priest they require. We put her enrollment forms in this week and will hear if she got a place by November for a January start.

She will be going for two 6.5 hour sessions a week, starting with a few 3 hour sessions to see how she goes. She has never been with anyone but me or grandparents so I am going to be a mess!!

When we dropped off the forms I had to promise her a present in the car to get her to leave so hopefully she will love it!

he's been babysat by family lots of times but hasn't been to daycare so I'm not 100% sure how he'll go but we're going to try.

our fees are $295 per term and there's also a $100 working bee levy.

orientation day is 7 december.

DD is going next year, she can't wait! She knows the kinder inside out thanks to her brothers going before her. She has lots of friends that will be in her group, thanks to the older siblings she has gotten to know lots of kids her age :). She talks about being a big kinder girl constantly, it's too cute!

She will have 1 x 2.5 hour session and 1 x 2 hour session per week - just like her big brothers did. Our kinder received a $300,000 government grant which is being used to build a new kinder room to accommodate the extended hours for 4 year old kinder. We're SO lucky! It would have been a shame if she had to go elsewhere. The kinder is part of the school that my eldest goes to (and DS2 will be going there next year too - eek!) and it's on my street. Far too convenient lol!

DD toilet trained in January of this year so luckily we don't have to cross that bridge with her. Her brothers were much later at TT'ing. DS2 TT'd the month before he started 3 year old kinder, it was just in the nick of time! It was the promise of going to kinder that encouraged him :).

Our fee is $1000 for the year. I will have DD toilet trained over the summer. She turns 3 in November. I love the look of this Kinder, it reminds me of the one I went to as a child. Had a great vibe about it. I have gone out of my area as I am hoping DD will then get a 4yr old spot in this Kinder. It has a fantastic reputation.

We get 1 3hr session a week hopefully the Friday morning session. It will then free me up to help a little at the boys school as they seem to hold a lot of special mornings and Masses on Friday mornings. DD does not have the patience to sit for any length of time so I have not been able to go this year to any of these.
The one time I did attempt, she ended up at the Altar trying to help Father with Mass!

Moo is starting next year, I think he's going to love it!
