Hi everyone! sorry its been a long time since I have posted, but have been following all your progress.....
Happy Birthday to all the bubbas, I hope everyones parties went well and everyone got spoilt!
we have Jacobs party on sunday, just BBQ at a local park, hopefully he will be well enough:shakehead: no one can seem to tell me what is wrong with him, 3 different docs, just useless!
so hard to believe that a year ago today I was being induced, I cant believe how quick these 12 months have gone.
will try to post a bit more often, have missed u guys! xx:D

Starry - Olive has been unwell too. I took her to the doc's this arvo after having to pick her up from daycare and he thinks she might have salmonella again? Apparently the bug can hang around in the system for ages so I have to get a stool sample and also get a urine just to be sure it's not a uti. I have to try and catch a wee though which ain't gunna be easy. Olive seems a little better this arvo though after some time with mummy:) She ate and drank better and seemed happier.
Whats been up with Jacob? Hope he id better soon.

Olive's next immunisations are next thurs:(

Starry & CW - Hope Jacob and Olive get better very soon and you get some answers as to what is wrong with them. Must be very frustrating not knowing. Hope Jacob enjoys his party on Sunday.

We have Lara's 1st Birthday/Christening tomorrow, I am :pray: everything runs smoothly. My mum can't make it, she is really sick with the flu at the moment. We have about 45 people coming, hope I have organised everything and haven't forgotten something.

We have Lara's 12 month check up and immunisations on Wed (Hollye - same day as Mia). Will be interesting to see how much she has grown.

Hi ladies,

Out of those 4 eggs we harvested only 1 fertilised. Vanessa had it inserted this morning and it all looks good. Her lining was 15mm so it is snuggled in there and we are now crossing fingers, toes and legs in the hope that it sticks.

We are having a halloween party for the kids tomorrow night and will be flat out tomorrow getting it ready (what made us do this I will never know)

Meara will be getting her needles next month. She was supposed to have them the morning I ended up having the egg pick up ohhhh well little bit longer before I have to hear her cry with anything but frustration lol. Her bigger sister Kaylee loves nothing more than teasing her or pulling her over so she gets her revenge by pulling her hair or scratching her. I'm waiting until she gets older and knows to hit back.

Oh well have to go

Well had B's last check up yesterday and here are her last stats:


Weight - 10kgs (exactly)..... was 3.290kgs when born

Length - 78cm ...... was 48cms when born

Head - 45.2cm........ was 33cm when born!

So she is growing just nicely :p

Hi Girls,

I am absolutely exhausted, we had Lara's 1st Birthday party/Christening today. It was a great day and it turned out perfectly but it is so exhausting trying to get around to everyone and talk to them all. She got so many beautiful presents, she is a very lucky girl!

HJ - By the looks of Miss B's stats, she is growing nicely. I can't wait to get Lara weighed/measured on Wednesday and compare her stats to her birth ones.

Kim - Hope you're Halloween party is going well tonight. Let us know if Vanessa gets a positive pregnancy test. Fingers x'd she does!!!


Well I have to go, my lounge room is a mess with toys and wrapping paper everywhere.

hey girls :)

everything is good here. Had some rough nights with Mia but last night was better. Not sure if it was teeth or from her needles. I cant wait till her check up on Wednesday :) i wonder if she has finally got to 10 kg? She was close but then she got so mobile and when she was sick she lost a little weight. So who knows??

Better go... she is stinkin out the house... eww

I all, sorry just a quick one, wanted to let you all know that I am so proud of little V, she is now drinking from a sippy cup with straw. She has been running around with it all day. I think she thinks she so clever, which she is. hehehe. I had one that I bought last week but it was one of those soft straw ones, and she couldnt get the hang of it and would just throw it, so I bought her a hard straw tommy tippee one and she loves it.
Will catch up as soon as I get a chance. hugs

Ohh and Happy Birthday to all those little bubs that had their birthday over the weekend. hugs

Hi Girls,

Lara had her 12 month check up today. Everything is well for her. She cried a bit for her 3 needles, not for long though. Still breaks my heart to see her cry when she gets them.

Her stats are:

Weight: 9.9 kg (2.7 kg birth)
Length: 75.5 cm (42 cm birth)
HC: 45 cm (30.2 cm birth)

Hollye - How'd Mia go today with her needles & check up?

Mia's stats from today -

Weight - 10.04kg (3.52 birth)

Height - 77cm (45cm birth)

HC - 46cm (34cm birth)

She had her needles last week.. i didnt really notice a change in her this time which is good. Mayb cz shes always a lil cranky these days. lol

Angus had his one year old needles this morning, had to wait for an hour and a half to see the doctor, he cryed HARD but you should have seen him trying to fight the doctor for the needles following the first one, he kept pushing her away :doh:

Did everyone's bub get 3 needles in one go? B only got 2 and we go back for the 3rd this week! Doctor said not good to give all 3 in one go!
Miss B sooked a little but afterwards was happy as larry and no side effects at all!

yeah Mia had 3 in one go.

Lara had 3 in one go too. One in each arm and the 3rd in her thigh.

I got to wuss out as Olive was recovering from being sick. I will probably wait until after xmas now when I have some time off.

Look at your bubs gaining weight so wonderfully. Well done ittle ones. Hope all the 12mth needles go ok.

O still havent given V hers yet, looking at doing it next week. Fingers crossed she will handle it ok. V isnt too well atm, with the flu. Also just noiced today, the V has had her molars come through. The bottom ones, not sure about the top ones as she wont let me look. lol. So that makes 10teeth for Little Miss V now.

Hope all your bubs are doing well and have enjoyed their birthdays.

Also my DS2 turned 14yrs yesterday, cant believe how time is flying.

All good here, Mia s sick again, suprise suprise. SO wish she wasnt getting up so early these days *yawn*

Thanks MM, no its not your eyes playing tricks on you. This pic is from when V was in hospital (the last day of her stay) and she had the last lot of tubes removed from her nose. The mark on her nose was from the tubes that were put done her nose when she was in induced coma. Also from when they kept bagging and sucking trying to get things off her chest. It left a scar, she was so sore for a while after that too and still not fussed on anyone near her nose. Hopefuly it will fade heaps with time. It is better now than that pic tho.

Hi Girls,

It is very quiet in here at the moment. I don't really have much news. Just popping in to see how you are all doing.

Lara has become really clingy and sooky lately. Constantly wanting me to hold her. Screams if I put her down. I don't want to get her in the habit of being held all the time, plus I'd never get anything done. People must've thought I was murdering her last night the way she was screaming and carrying on while I was trying to cook dinner. She lays on the floor and chucks the biggest tantrums already. Jeez I'd hate to see her hit the terrible 2's.

She is also going through a phase of playing in the toilet = splashing around in the water, it is soooo gross. We have to keep the door shut all the time otherwise she heads straight in there. DD1 sometimes forgets to close it and that's when she gets in there. Are any other bubs doing this? DD1 never did it but my neice and nephew did too.

She still isn't walking full time yet but I don't mind, DD1 never did until 14 months so Lara will probably be the same.

Yeah Mia loves the toilet atm too. Its feral.

Shes sick atm with a severe ear infection and temps of almost 40. Shes on medicine and panadol every 4 hours and another doc appointment @ 4pm.

Poor Mia, hope she gets better soon. Scary when they have temps that high. Glad Lara isnt the only toilet lover.

Hi everyone
Leigh - Olive loves the loo too and we always keep the door shut or she's straight in there. She follows me in and will even get toilet paper for me and imitate the sound of me weeing. Because of this i'm going to get a potty soon and just sit her on it whenever I go.
Olive also chucks a pretty good tanty but in general she is so good.
I also may have found out why she hasn't put on any weight was so sick a few weeks ago and why I have been feeling unwell for a couple of months. She has tested positive to salmonella again which mean she probably never got rid of it last time or we keep reinfecting eachother. So anyway we are on probiotics for a month and will be retested after that. I was meant to get Olive weighed again next week to see if she has gained weight but I might have to work so will ring clincic and see if I still need to.

Olive says 'Hello' to anything and everything that moves and is loving going to the pool atm.

Hollye - Hope Mia gets better soon.

Not much else to report. 4 weeks until my 3wks off for xmas, yeah! And i've only got 2 more pressies to buy.

Oh I keep getting hacked on facebook, this happened to anyone else???

CW - Bugger on the salmonella again but at least you know what it is now. I have so many xmas presents to buy still. What is everyone getting for their bubs? I still need to get stuff for Lara. How do you know your facebook is being hacked? Not sure if its coz of my facebook or not but my hotmail keeps sending out spam email to everyone in my email contact list and then every name in my contact list was deleted.....very annoying!

leigh- do a virus scan on your pc, sounds like you have malware.

Anyways we are having a rough time with Miss B acting like a newborn again and getting up many times a night so im pretty tired lately!

how many bottles or milk feeds is all bub on these days?

The reason I think i've been hacked is that i've had to change my password 3 times in a week and now i've been barred again. It's really starting to PMO. It's like i've been barred from my own life and it's pretty scary.

hj - Olive has actually been a good girl and slept through twice this week but in general still wakes at least once a night and even when she does sleep through it's usually only until 4:30am then she has a bottle and goes back to sleep until 6:30-7:30 which is pretty good seeing as I don't want to be fully awake before 6.
Olive is still having around 3-4 200ml bottles per day.

CW - that is really scary!
Phew B is still having 3-4 bottles a day also, it was mentioned maybe i should cut out her night time one and than start cutting the bottles out all together - i dont think im ready to cut her night time bottle out - not sure if she is either! - her sleep however..... no comment - its despressing!

Mia had another doc appoitnment. Both ears still severly infected. Shes having a chest xray in the morning and more docs. Poor little poppet just cant win..

HJ - Mia has 2 bottles a day, one in the morning, one at night. planning on cutting out her morning one soon and giving it to her in her cup with her breakfast.

Awww poor Mia! hope she gets better soon! xo

Holl - did u just stop the other bottles or did Mia do that herself?

i stopped them......... 10pm one i stopped @ 11 months. Middle of the day one i stopped @ 9 months (tho she was fussing over this one bad)

Hmmm maybe i should look at cutting them back to just morning and night - she never really asks for them during the day i just give them to her as force of habit i guess!
sometimes she drinks it all but most of the time she dosent!

Starry - It was when I used DH's laptop is when all the funny stuff happened to my hotmail. I've been telling him for ages that I reckon his computer was a bit dodgy and had viruses but he couldnt be told so I downloaded a better virus protector on to his.

Hollye - Hope everything goes ok with Mia's xray. Poor little bub.

HJ - Lara has 2 - 3 bottles a day. One in the morning, one early afternoon and one before bed. Although most days she only has 2 bottles so its usually the early afternoon one that gets cut out. I'm struggling to get Lara to drink water again at the moment, that's why she sometimes has 3 bottles just so she is getting some fluid. She wont have any water at all the last few days. I've tried giving it to her in a bottle, in every sippy cup under the sun and also a normal cup, but no luck. Any suggestions???

Leigh - i just leave a sippy cup around for Miss B and than she drinks from it when she wants too! and sometimes i just remind her where it is and offer it too her - usually she will drink it than also! Not sure if that will help u with Lara tho - u prob already do that tho!
I forgot to ask how did the christening/1st bdays go?

HJ - The christening/b'day went really, really well. The day ran so smoothly which was good. Lara slept thru the christening, even getting her head wet ha ha. I suppose its better than her screaming.

HEy ladies.. sorry been super busy! Back now!!!

Jorda is doing fine.. on the potty now 3 times a day with a tray in front of her. I am over changing nappies and so when she knows its poop time, why not put her on the potty and she does it right away. So easy..
She is doing straws and cups.. but still has bottles.. she will have no bottles in Jan..

my mum is here in less then a month i cannot wait!! so fun!!! going to sydney road trip etc.. love it.

I am very surprised that no one here is expecting.. i was speaking to another friend on here and by 1 year.. 4 of them were already expecting.. So exciting to have our little ones as it is!!

What is everyone buying the kids for christmas?

Mia's getting... a swing set, a bike, elmo stuff and lots of toys etc in general. About $1500 spent on her this year.
