I think I'll be glad when all the weeknight sport is finished on TV (ie cricket - state and international level, tennis, soccer) so I can actually access the TV to use the wii instead of having to have the sport on for DH :p He's actually out now buying a nice new HD TV so we can change where the TV is so we have some more room to get into the wii stuff more  (and see it from more of the lounge/dining/kitchen area:ROFL:)
Hey y'all! I've changed the name to 'Fitness chat and tips' rather than 'exercise chat and tips' because I noticed you're discussing diet too and figured that 'fitness' might reflect the combination of exercise and diet better? Let me know if that doesn't reflect what goes on in here (and if not, what you'd all prefer the thread to be called). xo
Thanks Nelle - I think the name you've given it covers it just perfectly :D.
Jeez, you're all so good with your food! I hafta say, I think a big part of my problem is that I don't eat regularly - I wait til I'm hungry, and then the quickest thing is generally not the right thing, KWIM?
I've decided to lay off the exercise for today, my lower back is absolutely caning :( I have a previous injury, and if I start doing too much too soon, it starts feeling like I'm being stabbed from the inside. I'm guessing Yoga would be pretty good for it, to stretch it out, is that right? If thats the case, I might start working on 1 aerobic session = 1 yoga session, with the dance thrown in once or twice a week.
Any of you personal trainers out there, if you have any suggestions, PLEASE throw 'em my way, I'm flying blind here :)
Berny - what was your back injury?
Net - can you make my lunch?
I actually love Chicken Salad (chicken, lettuce, cucumber, capscium, tomato and a lite honey mustard dressing), avocado and chicken/turkey on vita wheets...
MG - I used to work in aged care, and one day one of the not-so-little old ladies fell over and I tried (unsuccessfully) to stop her from falling. The doc said it was a soft tissue injury, but ever since then if I overdo it, it feels like I'm being stabbed :( At other times if I've done something the wrong way I'll get a dull ache all along the lower back. I realise my weight is directly effecting this, yet another reason to lose some serious kilo's.
Chicken salad = YUMMY!
Wow, I am soooo behind in here!! I have changed my user name from miss heather to Heather72.
Leesa: I love the Oliver Twist movie, the one with Oliver Reed as Bill sykes!
Love the Avvy Hollo :D
MG: That is great to here about the PT trainer turning away clients due to unrealistic expectations, the PT sounds wonderful!
CQ & MG: Thanks, realistic works for me.
Winter: I am only 5ft2. Have to be careful with out height's that we don't start to look scrawny
I like the new name of thread too!
Hey Berenice: Have you tried Pilates. Try a one on one session with a physio or a small group session with a physio, they are great. I used to do them and the physio would make sure we (max 6 people) were doing the excersises right and adjust them for those who had injuries.
I don't have a clue what my BMI is, I am pretty sure I am within the healthy weight range. My goal after having Tess was to fit back into my Bettina Liano jeans, they cost me a fortune and I only wore them for a couple of months before I got pregnant with her, I have achieved that. I can fit into all my pre preg clothes again, happy with that.
Diet..mmmmmmmmmm, quite often very very naughty
Breakfast is usually toast with vegemite or cereal. Don't drink juice. Two cups of coffee. I drink alot of water during the day, don't drink soft drink, juice or cordials.
Lunch is whatever I can scramble up when I remember. Sometimes a sandwhich or left overs from the night before, my favourite is rice cakes with philly spread, smoked salmon and capers, YUM . I also snack on whole pieces of fruit and nuts, yoghurt, chocolate.
I am loving mango's at the moment so have one with icecream at night sometimes.
I think my biggest down fall is I like a wine or bubbles on some nights and chocolate.
Well I did attack this morning. The trainer has changed the moves, so I did ok. I find towards the end of a session I get a little lost with the moves, so I just move or do what I think it is
I am doing two sessions a week at the moment, that should be ok I think?? I just need to keep fit so I can keep up with my kids. The gym only has creche in the morning's so I am limited during the day and they only have it Mon-Thurs. I am getting into a rythym for the Sunday Morning Attack and Wed Combat.
I am loving the biggest loser series. I think it is just amazing how the participants change from week to week.
Well, I am sure I have missed out on heaps in here, I read and re-read, and re-read and boy did I get confused..so to everyone I have missed or replied wrongly..oops:o That would explain my tangent.
Enjoy your week...:cheer::bluecheer::cheer::
Heather
MG - I'd love to make your lunch for you! Alas... the miles!
Berenice - I found that making my tuna salad was quicker than driving to and waiting in the KFC drive thru... it's also just as quick as re-heating leftovers. The only other downside is a few extra dishes (knife, peeler, board, bowl) and a little mess. But I always enjoy the salad infinitely more than some of the other stuff!
Nelle - good idea on the name of the thread!
Liz - like the Wii plan!
After my icky experience shopping and feeling all riled up - I'm gonna hit the floor tonight!! Gonna grab my weights right now!
Nothing for me today! :( I have the w'ends off apart from a walk in the evening, but I've skipped even that tonight.
Have any of you girls found that after strenuous exercise that your legs ache in bed at night & it's hard to sleep? A crampy sort of feeling? I thought it might have to do with lacking in some minerals that I sweated out or something. I took a vitamin tablet last night & I don't know if that helped or not. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
No personals from me tonight, sorry, knackered! Off to read a book over dinner (DH at work, DD in bed! YAY!) Can't wait to hear how you all go in this next week.
Forgot to subscribe :)
Nettie - I'd move to SA! If I take salad to work I have to make it at home (believe me, in my industry, better done at home!). And I usually make it the night before. Good luck with your session tonight!!!!!!
Heather - Yeah, D is brilliant! You'd never guess his age when you first met him!
Berny - soft tissue is good! It means you can build muscle and take the pressure off. I strongly advocate clinical pilates (which is different to gym/mat pilates). It will help to really build your core muscles and to strengthen the weak bits in your back. It will make it much better. If it doesn't help, request a CT from your GP to make sure it isn't anything structural. My injury IS structural and clinical pilates worked wonders for me... so imagine what it will do for you!!!
Leck - like the plan!
I also like the new name Nelle! Thanks!
AFM - I just did a treadmill session. Not as brilliant as last night. I still pushed myself to hit 6.0Km/hr for a little bit. But I noticed that my gait was way off tonight. It felt like my left side was lagging at times which is an indication I am beginning to relapse. My hip flexor is tight tight tight and I can't get it to stretch! Which is :wall: me. I'm really hoping D will be able to help me out on Tuesday... and if not I'm pretty sure I have physio this week. I'll have to take my anti-inflammatories tomorrow for sure. Aiiiii  I don't get worse girls! I couldn't handle that!
Have a lovely lovely night girls!
MG
MG - I just really wanted to thank you , for imparting your knowledge surrounding injuries to me (well us all actually ). I've honestly never really suffered from injuries (as you can tell because my attitude is starting to bite now this injury has been with me for almost a fortnight now), and most of the people I deal with at gyms usually only have the basic sprain / strain type injury. Its one thing to read and learn from a text book - but another to hear stories from people who have actually suffered injuries and worked through it.
I seriously see you as an inspiration to me, because despite your injuries, you're working damn hard to overcome them - whereas sooo many other people would just give up.
Kudos to you MG! :D
I'm planning to see how long I can jog on the treadmill today. Last time I really tried I could only go for about 2 minutes. I'm gonna try to do at least 5-10 minutes today. My fitness level has increased a fair bit since last time I tried to see how long I could jog for.
It's a hot day here in Adelaide though, thankfully the gym is air conditioned. I've brought my short shorts for the gym which I usually hate wearing coz I don't like showing my thighs in public...they're aweful! At least no one can stand behind me when I'm on the treadmills at my gym.
Hey Danni - have you got an mp3 player? You can download the mp3 C25K program onto it and give it a crack :D.
Its bizarre to listen too, they guy speaking tells you when to run and when to walk with music in the background, but hey - it'll help you get to 5k's....
(I'm fairly sure I remember you posting a thread about the c25k program?)
Yeah I've got the C25K and have tried it. I didn't find it helped me to actually jog properly. But thanks for reminding me about my MP3 player...I need to charge it before I go to the gym. (it charges by USB on the computer... a little annoying that I can only charge it that way).
Oh, I've got this other thing called a tabata clock which is good for short burst exercises (like jogging on the spot, skipping, plank, mountain climbers etc). It's just a thing that counts down "three, two, one" and then a bell goes off and that's when you start your exercise. The default timer will stop after 20 seconds with a big buzzzzz and then you get a 10 second break before starting again. If anyone wants the website pm me.
I'm interested in this tabata clock. Sounds like a good way to do interval training by yourself without a trainer. We had Circuit on Friday with a stand-in PT and he said that interval training is the best way to loose weight as it keeps your body working for an hour or so after you finish. Can the ladies in the know about this stuff stop in and fill me in a bit more on the whys and hows? THANKS!
Danni - how did you go jogging today? That clock sounds good too! Can you please PM me the link?
Winter - how are you going?!
Leesa - Hon, I just share my experience as we all do! You have the wonderful experience of being a PT and instructor - you give us all a different POV to our own. None of us has a better light to shine than another - but combined together, our light provides us all with a magnificent bright path which we can chose to follow. and if just one person can learn from my mistakes or experience (get treatment early, follow "the rules"... if only I hadn't run when I wasn't meant too!!!!!) then BRILLIANT! If not, that's fine too - afterall, it is my journey to take. The more support we offer and accept, the more interesting, fun, and easier our own journey's become :) And how IS your injury? Did you have any treatment on it today?
CQ - how was your last lesson for the new course?! Are you excited?!
Net - how are you travelling hon?
Berny? How is your back today?!
Heather - how are you doing hon?
Leck? Got the Wii going again yet? ;)
AFM - not much happening here. My *plan* is for a rest night tonight because just walking at work I noticed that my left hip is lagging. So I figure rest before PT tomorrow will do it good. But, let's be honest, as tired as I am, my addiction to my treadmill almost always wins out!!!! It is such a big part of my routine now that I find I don't sleep so well if I miss out... How pathetic am I?! I'm looking forward to my session tomorrow... and then I have physio a few hours after PT which will be good. The pilates we do should help my current discomfort :)
hoping to get to the wii tonight - have new tv but not set up yet- can't go to my pilates class as I haven't been paid for the last 2 weeks (got my contract a day or two late to make it fit with the pay cycle :( so now no $ to spend for a fortnight), but need to go visit a teacher friend who just had her baby girl sun morning tonight too, around trying to get a couple more expresses in today too:wall: too much to do, so little time
I have a confession...I was too hungry at my normal gym time and and it was blooming 37 degrees. So I looked at my gym bag, smiled and then went and got a foot long subway with lots of cheese...sooooo bad! Tomorrow is pump, will make an effort to get there. Wednesday is boxing and Thursday I'll either do step or some cardio myself and then Friday pump again.
I find the women's heath magazine website quite handy. I usually go to the Australian one but also find the American one good too. I also got some useful things from Michelle Bridges website, like a table that shows how many calories are burnt per hour of various exercises.
The Tabata thing is at the w's dot beach-fitness dot com/tabata. You have to sign up to do it from what I can gather.
Thanks for the website hints Danni!!!! I am going to go check those out later!!! I always struggle to get going when it's hot too... I feel so sick! Look forward to hearing how your session tomorrow goes!
Leckert - that sucks about pay cycles :(Hope you manage to get on the Wii in the meantime! Have you got the pilates "game" for it? ooooo enjoy visiting the new bubba!
Well girls, I just did a mediocre session on the t'mill. 30 min. 2.99Km. Too much energy afterwards but too scared to go faster due to hip. It felt slightly more "controlled" tonight as opposed to yesterday. I've been stretching like mad as well to help with the discomfort. Not sure how it is working yet! I just downloaded 2 new songs for my playlist which I am looking forward to utilising tomorrow! I'm loving my current playlist! REALLY looking forward to boxing tomorrow though - I a wee annoyed at a couple of ppl who seem a bit two faced, and frustrated about work today... so it will be good to take it out in boxing!!!
whoops, i forgot to subscribe too! sounds like you are all going well. Step for me in the morning. last week DD2 was great at the creche, fingers crossed for tomorrow!
Hahaha Danni! Classic!
MG - hope the tready session makes you sweat - you know you want to! :cheer:
Leesa - how are you feeling hun? Are you starting to come good?
CQueen - Have you now been unleashed on an unsuspecting public? ;)
Nettie - How are those weights going? :whip:
Leckert - hope you get your wii soon and you can start dodging the insults  I used my sisters and it told me I was a couch potato and obese! Ha!
Berny - Are you a latin dance star today?
Heather - I don't have a chance of looking scrawny! I am one of those body types that is short & stocky & I tend to muscle up too.
Nelle - thanks for new thread, feel free to join in!
AFM - I did Ladies Circuit again today. I am in love with these circuits. Today was warm up on tread mill, then stretches, then running laps around the weight machines, then lunge walks around, then squat walks around, then interval training on the steppers with the levels increasing each time - 30 secs flat out, 15 second recovery - then interval training on the bikes - then into the aerobics room for boxing, burpies, sit-ups, push-ups, star jumps, & plank manoeuvres. I could have done more!
Then at the witching hour, I took my monster, I mean DD, for a 40 min walk up & down the hills out the back. Works out to be about 2.5kms. I did some of my own interval training by putting some flat out runs in there as well ( on the flat ground tho, I'm not insane!). I must have looked silly with a wildly rocking pram in front of me, but DD loved it!
Hi guys, I didn't even know this thread was here!
I'm about to g0 to bed so no personals sorry :(
Finished Pump training yesterday and passed yay!!! I team taught my first Pump class today and loved it, it was so much fun!
Then I taught Combat tonight and now I am knackered! Just ate a huge bowl of lasagne but I think i've earned it ;)
Seeing as Lees is popping out for a while I guess it's on me to hold the fort on any technical questions but fire away - i'm up for it!
Well done everyone and go hard tomorrow!!!
well no wii tonight :( DS is having a few issues with teething I think (first tooth) and was unsettled with putting him down (including having a bath to try & help - don't like the heat here sometimes) and ended up having to put the portacot up in the lounge room so he could sleep (his room gets a lot of the afternoon sun, so does ours but by the time we get there it's cooled down enough usually to sleep in) so no visiting or wii-ing tonight :( will have to do both tomorrow night. He's still in the lounge until he next wakes up and then his room should be sleep-able IYKWIM. A/c doesn't easily get up to that end of the house
Sorry - in a bit of a rush tonight, but wanted to let you all know that I went for a walk this morning and had my salad for lunch. So I'm kinda on track today!
Tomorrow's out the window though - got to head into work early (hence the rush) so no walk for me.
Hope it's going well for everyone else and I'll try to catch up better tomorrow!
Winter - the weights are idle tonight :hide:
Just back from pump and then had a healthy salad for lunch...though I'm still a bit hungry so might get a salad wrap from subway soon.
I struggled with pump today, not sure why. My body didn't feel as supple as it normally does. Hopefully after today and then after tomorrow's punch pad class my body will be more supple and ready for Friday's pump class.
i felt the same in step today daniellebella.. wonder why that is? good on ya for ya salad. i did one too, though had a few of DD1s cheerios too.. naughty
Danni - well done on your healthy lunch! And good on your for going to your class today! How is the wrist holding up?
Hollo good on you for your class too!!!!! I think sometimes our bodies are less responsive if we decline to give them enough recovery time. And sometimes we just have an off day - nothing wrong with that!
Nettie - well done on your walk and salad!!!! How has today been for you?
Leck - any chance of Wii tonight? It's hard to juggle family, heat, and exercise isn't it?
CQ - well done on finishing your course and doing your first class! How exciting! How are you travelling otherwise?
Winter - how are you feeling today after your day yesterday????!!!! VERY impressive!!!!
Well girls, I'm a bit of a mess today. I had a bad pain night last night which left me aggitated this morning. Not a good start to the day :wall:. PT this morning. Well, I guess I'm glad I went but it was not good. Don't get me wrong, I boxed well and worked up a major sweat (still not as good as at home); increased all my weights; got through with minimal pain. BUT, I'm so so sick of the LOOKS and COMMENTS from staff and other patrons. I'm pretty sure everyone thinks there is something going on with D and I because they always LOOK at us with "that" kind of look. And today, as I was walking into the gym after dropping DD in the creche, D was talking to another trainer about an upcoming date he has. And S (other trainer) said "With her?" nodding at me to which D replied negatively. I'm not phased by D's response (although a little hurtful because I'd consider myself a decent catch!) but moreso the fact that these people think we'd get together! COME ON PEOPLE! We' train twice a week and have done for almost a year... which is WHY we have such a good rapport together... and because we've had to work through some pretty major issues so we could train together. I don't like being in the gym to start with (self conscious and have been harassed in gyms in the past by guys so really don't feel comfortable in them), so after the comment this morning, I was the most anxious I've been for awhile. I was twirling a hair tie in my hands so hard I'd thought it would snap. I wanted to RUN out of the gym and hide in the toilets and CRY.
As I did my 10 min warm up on the t'mill, D read my food/exercise diary and then proceeded to make me feel pretty bad about my food. I KNOW it was bad and I can do better... but it is much better than when we started training and I am an emotional eater going through an emotional time right now... I know I need to stop making excuses for myself but I also need to get on top of my eating. Anyway, after the treadmill we boxed. As we were kitting up, S made a comment to me about hitting D during boxing. Really, is that a necessary comment? Especially since for the better half of the year I have held back in boxing for fear of hitting him?:wall: So, I put my earphones in (discovered I do better in boxing if I have my music) and off we went. D said something to me and I looked at him blankly (I can lip read). He thought I couldn't understand him but I don't him I was just ignoring him and to give me a combo . Off we went, I could see he was pretty lax with his stance which annoyed me. He was counting on me not hitting hard today (last few sessions I've hit pretty hard). Well, I hit HARD ladies! So hard, his face changed quickly and he had to take a few steps back and brace himself! That'll teach him! I hit hard the WHOLE time. It felt GOOD. It hurt my back and left leg but I wouldn't quit. I imagined you girls all standing there cheering me on. And I imagined Leesa (I miss her!) standing there telling me to work through the pain, to suck it up, to not give in to my injury. So I kept going and going and going. D got worried and tried to tell me to stop but I wouldn't listen hehe. We compromised. He said 2 more rounds, I said 10, he said 5 ;)
Then it was the weights. I increased in all bar 1 lot of weights. He tried to get me to smile but he didn't understand. I told him to just train me and leave out the chat please. I just wanted out. I told him I didn't want to be there today - I couldn't do it. He didn't understand. It wasn't that I PHYSICALLY couldn't do it, but emotionally and mentally today. I've not got another session until next Tuesday and I'm not sure how I feel about it. On one hand, the break from the gym will be good (I still train at home) but on the other hand, breaking my routine could be bad for the cause.
I had physio this afternoon and she confirmed a lot of my issues are stemming from my hip flexor being far too tight. But not in the groin area which is where it usually tightens. It is higher up - almost in my abdomen area. So she did some traction and manipulation and gave me a knew stretch to do which HURT like hell in our session... which means it was GOOD!
Several hours after PT I'm still not really wanting to go back any time soon and still feel pretty upset about it. I still feel like crying. And I feel like chucking in the towel with D. Maybe I need someone older and wiser - not a young 22 year old with little life experience?
Anyway, I'm sorry for the epic post and the poor me funk of an attitude girls.
MWAH
No worries about the attitude MG - feeling pretty crappy myself today, so I'll join you!
Well, did Latin dance yesterday. I've finally gotten the choreography, but its not in time so I hafta speed up. And its only for the first routine, she's got at least 2 more on the DVD! But I'm pretty proud of myself for pushing through the barrier to finish a routine - amazingly hard work that DVD!
Sorry no personals today, I'm trying not to think too much...
Wrist is fine.
Bernice: I'd love to do latin dance. My cousin got a DVD for Christmas and some of us tried it and it's soooo hard. I'd love to do more though.
Hun, maybe that's exactly what you need. An older, wiser person who understands emotions - might not let you off the hook - but will understand perhaps the whys of emotional eating, fear of training causing injury etc. Young men are 10 foot tall & bullet proof, so if he has been supportive so far, then you've been really lucky, but if you feel this upset, maybe a change is in order?
thanks Winter. I don't want to be let off the hook but I don't expect to be humiliated either. Nor do I expect to encounter what happened in the foyer today. He does get my fear of injury and embraces that (because he saw how much pain I was in at the height of my injury)... and he gets me because we're pretty similar. But sometimes, I just want to sock him one!
I messaged him earlier asking my options because I didn't want to train any more. He has replied asking me to clarify. But I'm still not sure what I want - if I want to quit or just not in the gym any more. Perhaps replying to his text whilst under the influence of wine was not my smartest move...
Just put the wine in your food diary & have it as evidence as to why you might not possibly have come across exactly how you wanted ;) to OR Deny all - what wine? :dunno: - Just having a bad night, sorry.
:D we've ALL done the texting under the influence!
Man, I'm knackered tonight. I did a gyn session first up with weights and treadmill and medicine ball lunges & swats and then I went to Combat. I discovered something today though which is a secret that no-one tells you....it's actually EASIER to do the Comabt class after you have already done some exercise and everything is warmed up!! All this time I have been thinking that the people who do the double sessions are HARD CORE! Does that make me hard core now too? ;)
Hi,
Wow you girls are inspiring! I know I shouldn't be dieting and I'm not coz I'm pg but I am trying to eat healthily and do some exercize to keep my weight gain in check.
With ds I put on 27kg  It basically took me 3yrs to get back to my pre pg weight, then with the fertility drugs to fall pg this time I put back on 8kg :wall:
Anyway, I've been eating kinda ok (apart from the odd take-away and chocolate) but I've been doing water aerobics 3 times a week (and actually loving it!). So far I've only put on 2kg!!!
Only prob I'm finding now is as the pg is progressing I'm starting to get more and more tired and lazy and am heading for comfort food and take-away coz I can't be bothered cooking. Basically, if I don't cook it's take-away, dh does NOT cook and even if he did, he doesn't get home until almost 7pm at night. This is not good for my diet or for ds
Does anyone have any suggestions for quick, easy, healthy dinners we can have? I'm also working 2 days a week so that doesn't help my energy levels either.
Thanks!
Hi Sharon, welcome!
Keep up the exercise, you'll feel better for it! Well done for doing it 3 times a week, that's awesome.
My advice for healthy meals is to do a big cook up on a Sunday when DH can look after DS and freeze them for when the CBFs hit. Saves money too so double bonus!
Let us know how you go and keep checking in with your exercise.:cheer:
Winter I like the cook-up idea!
I've actually done a menu plan for the week so our food shopping this morning should be heaps easier and I've tried to include some dinners where we can freeze the leftovers. That is, if I can get to them before dh nabs them for lunches! (he's not fan of sandwiches!) He'd rather buy something than get up 5mins earlier to make something, not good for the budget or healthy eating :wall:
I went to Balance today for the first time in ages. I used to be really dedicated to it and would go every week as well as doing yoga at home a couple of nights a week.
Because I've increased the amount I do weights and increased the weight of the weights I use I've been feeling really tense and like I'm constantly shrugging my shoulders if that makes sense. I can't afford a massage but figure that for me yoga/body balance/pilates has a similar affect as massage and it only costs me my time and my normal gym membership.
Lets also see if it helps me sleep better again.
Also I've just started realising that I've been eating badly again, especially since Christmas. I was always meant to go back to good eating after Christmas/New Year...well now it's the middle of Feb and I haven't really been eating well. I've noticed my gut feeling bloated again since I started eating bad too. I want to eat better and have been "trying" but haven't actually been making a really conscious effort to. So at lunch today I got a salad subway wrap with no cheese instead of a vegie patty wrap with cheese and lots of pizza sauce.
When we go shopping on Thursday I'm gonna get some salad things and try really hard to have a side of salad instead of a side of chips with my dinner like I do almost every single night.
If I make up a big salad on the weekend and have a bit in a wrap for lunch at work and with my dinner then it should be gone before it goes bad. I think I'll also cut up some carrot sticks and keep a heap of them in the fridge for when the munchies hit. Perhaps I'll have some hommus on hand as well. I think that's fairly healthy.
Another thing I've noticed is that I keep forgetting to have breakfast and because I'm skipping a meal I've been undoing all the good work I did before Christmas and have been gaining weight a bit more. I need to remember to eat a healthy breakfast. I blame my boss for this. I was having breakfast at work first thing and he thought that was funny and strange so I got embarrassed and stopped having breakfast altogether. Need to bring my box of cerial back to work and go find somewhere quiet to eat rather than at my desk I think.
Hi guys, sorry i've been so busy! Today I am having my first day off fromt he gym since Jan 10th!! And i'm still in my pj's ;)
MG - Hun I think changing your trainer would be a bad idea babe. He has been there with you through so much and he understands you. I think you're very emotional right now and you can't expect him to "get that" does that make sense? I think it would set you back so much having to excplain and work through everything with a new trainer and in the end they might not be the right one for you. As for what happened with S well that sort of **** goes on in every gym...people will alaways ***** and gossip and if you are a slighly easy target then you will get it...just let it wash over you...next time say something like "he wishes" and keep walking. I've had it with both of my PT's. The gym is a place that you go to for you - nobody else and unfortunatly it means that a vast majority of the people that go there are very self absorbed and love to gossip :( What's the update hun?
And yes COmbat is waaaay easier after weights! Pump/Combat is so much easier than COmbat/Pump :)
Hoep everyone else is doing great :) Sorry i'm not doing a very good job of being Rach and Leesa!
Well, it's been a disastrous week for me:shakehead:
I couldn't get to Combat on Wednesday morning as the creche was booked up already. I had tried to book Tess in two days before and it was full then. I was the first name on the waitlist and no phone call. I have now booked the next two Wednesday's for the morning session only I am not sure what the class is going to be as the Combat teacher has another job.
I will get to Attack on Sunday and give it my all and then some!! May even do Spin on Saturday morn as DH is starting work late..see how I go with time.
Hi Sharon! Welcome. Good meals during colder months or colder days is a slow cooker. They can be done the night before and then put the cooker on before you go to work and when you walk in dinner will be ready and a beautiful smell through your house..yum!
Winter: I am pretty sure you said you had the name Tess your baby list?? When she was born and the MW asked did I have a name she commented that she couldn't remember the last time she heard Tess..I also liked it as I hand't heard it for a while either.
Oooh, and thanks for the tip on Combat..might do the warm up session before hand :D
Cqueen: You are doing a wonderful job!! Your advice to MG was excellent and very wise.
MG: How are you going? That's was pretty crappy what happend at the the gym. But as Cqueen says, it goes on in all gyms. I have noticed it around mine, I don't even have a PT. I also had run through with some weights with a 'young guy', that makes me sound sooo old! and he was a bit of smart ***, that turned me off PT. You though sound like you have a pretty good understanding of you PT so I would stick with it.
Hi Daniellabella: Do you have a slow cooker? If you like porridge you can put it on the night before and it will be ready when you wake up. That's what my mum used do for us when we lived at home a going to school to make sure we ate.
Nettie, leckert, Hollo, Berrinice and anyone I have missed..how are you all going??
Enjoy your next workouts everyone..dinner tonight is chicken & salad and some gippsland organic yoghurt for dessert....no mangoes and icecream tonight :)
