Just a quick question for everyone out there.....
And how much do you pay a week?
New to mortgage land in WA-ouch.We might "own" a few bricks by nwo.
$500/week. That was the low end of the market.
Own. Dp pays 280 a week which is more than he should pay
rent - $250/week but it is worth much more than that!
Would love to own our own house but TBH the thought does scare me a bit, means you're kind of tied to that house, that town..don't know if we're ready to really settle where we are!
own - I live in a very small town in North Western Canada so this may not be relevant but our mortgage is $1000 (CAN) a month.
We rent from the bank
We pay about $710 f/n on a $220K loan.
Both.
We own our home that we built, but are currently working interstate so we're just about to move into our rental.
Mortgage is 1250 p/f
Rent is covered by the company.
Own. Mortgage is a about $2800 a month but this include principle
Well we have a mortgage, so don't "own" the house as such and we pay $943 per fortnight.
Rent. We pay $340 a week for a 3brm townhouse which is waaaaay too small but I am iffy about paying $100 a week more for another bedroom :(
Rent! $330 a week for a 3 bedroom house in a nice area.
Renting. $280/week for a tiny three bedroom place. It suits us, but if we have more children we will need somewhere bigger.
BW
The bank owns our home, and sometimes it feels like they own us too!
We pay $1100 a fortnight, I think the min repayment is $900 a f/n.
Hoping the interest rates stay down!
Mortgage - we pay about $1800 a month (actually we couldn't rent our house for that so we are pretty happy)
We have two houses. Pay about $160 a week but most of that is offset by rent on one of the houses.
Soon we'll have three houses, will pay about $280pw and all of that will be offset by rent on two of the houses.
If we wanted to rent out house #3 it would cost us over $300pw so I think getting it for basically free is a good deal ...
Catch is we're marginal borrowers so we're still scraping up the deposit for the third :(
rent, although i do kinda wish we had our own place! it's $320 p/w for a 3 bedroom.
Own a home. We own it outright and we get $300 week rent for it.
We rent the house we live in for $520 so we pay $220 a week.
We are renting.
Paying $400 a week. 3 bedrooms but in a new suburb so paying for a great location.
We are also 'owned' by the bank. Mortgage payments about $2300 a month, but half of that is being paid by our tenants while we are overseas. That's whe reason we are overseas....to be mortgage free :) I have never rented....don't want to pay someone elses mortgage (but I'll happily let someone pay some of mine!)
Rent $380 pw. Its quite a large house tho. We rent off my dad and pay what he would get with anyone else in it less the agents fees. Although if they need to up the rent anytime soon i think we'll be looking elsewhere!
We pay a mortgage. About $1400 a fortnight I guess. That is primary and interest. Loan was about $460Kish,
Buying. Minimum payment is something like $670 a fortnight.
Own, we pay approx $1000 per month on home loan.
BUT - that doesn't include the cost of council rates, sewerage & water + maintenance that you also pay when you're the owner.
When we had tenants in they were paying $280/week so some months we didn't even break even.
Own (mortgage) & a mortgage on an investment property. We pay $2600 per month (and get $1000 in rent), but we currently pay interest only.
Rent.
Don't get angry.... $50 a week for a 5 bedroom (could be changed to 7 bedrooms if required) homestead. BUT we are 100kms from the nearest regional centre. I don't get garbage collection, My mail gets delivered about 3kms down the road, I live on a dirt road with a really long driveway and we live on dam and rain water.
It's great.... but it's hard when you want to do normal things, and with the price of fuel it would nearly even out to what we'd pay for a reasonable place in town.
We too are "owned" by the bank! Hopefully own at least a few doors and things by now! $1963 per month or $453 per week on a $278,000 loan, we have been in the house for 3 years and now owe about $269,000...such a slow process. I think we would get around $295,000-300,000 for it now if we sold and had the outside finished... Hopefully we can start paying some extra off next year! To rent this house we would probably be looking at around $375ish per week.
We paid $520 a fortnight on a mortgage of $147,000. But we bought just before the property boom started and we were paying more then we needed to. Lost that house and now rent a small 3 bed house for...wait for it....$400 a week, and that is at the bottom end of price for a 3 bed here, median about $470. You don't come here to save.
We pay $260 a week rent on a 1 1/2 bedroom unit. It's soooo tiny, we can't even fit a dinner table in... We eat on the couch (sad, hey?). But it's a nice neighbourhood and really close to town (15 minutes). Last year we paid $220 a week for a big three bedroom house with garden... Ohh the prices have changed!!
Trying to save for a house atm...
Paying the bank back ;)
We pay $355 a week in mortgage repayments. We are out of town though so end up paying about $100 a week in petrol.
We are considering (Seriously considering) selling and renting back in town.
We are renting. Small coastal holiday town, with basics, but 12kms from hospital, supermarkets, petrol etc.
We pay $255 a week for 3brms, ensuite, rumpus room, big yard & double garage. I'm very happy with the price ($265 in September).
In the towns 12 & 25kms away we'd pay well over $300 a week for this place.
Renting at the moment $260 per week for a 3br 2 bathroom basic house around 40km from CBD.
We also have a land mortgage that is $500 per month interest only.
When our house is finished in Dec our full mortgage will be around $2500 a month - yikes!
mortgage -- $565 a week minimum (we were paying $650 before bubs, to get a bit ahead) this is with Keystart on a $380,000 loan
3 bedrooms, 1 bath and a study, big backyard
rent .. 200 pw, 3 bedroom. I live out of town ... Well in a small town with a population of 600.
Own - bought our house about a year ago. We pay about $330 a week for an average 3 bedroom house. We are in Tassie though ;)
omg I'm moving to tassie!!
We have a mortgage. $400p/w for a large 4brm house in Cairns. We bought our house 5 years ago.
