tan i hope you are ok xxx don't be so hard on yourself and cry if you need it :) i'm sure it helps!! i wish we all lived closer so we could help you. You do a fantastic job looking after your two little boys. i'm sure they are so proud of their mamma and one day they will be able to tell you that *hugs*. and i'm also sure that wayne is proud of you also and appreciates all you do!

Shona - i find william sleeps better when john puts him to sleep also! it is a conspiracy lol! if only john put him to sleep more often *doh*...we do have feeding to sleep happening again even for day sleeps now which makes my life sooo much easier!!

bella - no ebm for me atm to mix with food...i had borrowed my friends breast pump since william was born and brought a replacement one for her. the one she had had two funnel bits in it, a silicone one and a plastic one. the plastic one fit me better - but then the elbow piece that joins all the bits wasn't making a suction so we had to send away the whole pump and i have the new one to use - but it doesnt have the plastic funnel and the silicone one only pulls nipples! very ouchies and no milk :( makes mixing solids and ebm a bit hard!

lol at william trying to crawl! he doesn't do it when on the floor but when hes on our bed on his tummy he puts his arms out above his head, faceplants, then lifts his bum in the air and pulls one knee forward at a time. the he looks up at us again. it is sooo funny to watch!

anyway guna go, was guna to work at 8.30 and it's now nearly 9.30 whoopsie!

Well another thread and in typical me style I am a late arrival!

I don't really have too much to say today, just off to pick up take away pizza for dinner. Yum yum no weight loss for me!

October - scary huh! Christmas decorations are in the shops eeek!

Thanks Kirsty - I had a doc appt yesterday and I actually cancelled it. I know it is just stress and really didn't want to pay someone to tell me something I already know! Had a big chat with one of my closest friends the other night - sucks because the handful of close close fiends I have geographically aren't close *sigh* and phone calls are hard when you have a manic toddler. She put things into perspective and I am feeling a whole lot better bout myself and the roles I take on - which I am learning is far too many for just lil old me! I have relinquished some control - which is ubEr hard for me to do - and said yes to offers of help REPEAT TO SELF I am not super woman I am not supper woman - I would like to be but I am not super woman. So come Tuesday I have four lovely ladies - childless cause school will be back in and I don't need more litlle ones under foot - coming to lend a hand! Fingers crossed my ocd doesn't get the better of me and I don't lose the plot when they put the 'wrong' things together in boxes. Oh and we have a settlement date finally 25th of this month. Boys are enrolled in Kindergym and swimming lessons and waiting to hear back about what day playgroup is.

*uses best mother voice and shakes pointed finger* you are not leaving him to sleep on the bed and lounge now are you?! Things happen so quickly - not crawling to crawling happens in the blink of an eye - trust me lol Archer is everywhere and into everything!!! Keep up the good work Will!

Yeh i know i've seen with archer how quick they do things but im lucky in the sense that we only have four (five including bathroom) rooms in our house...lounge, bedroom/computer room, william's room and kitchen. so usually when he is sleeping i'm either right beside him on the bed or couch or i'm either watching tv or on the computer in the same room he is in. So i'm not really too worried. plus i've grown up with every kid my mum babysat always sleeping just on her bed and not one of them have ever fallen off. So im not fussed :)

lol! yes their poo is the same as how it went in!! William had mashed sweet potato and stewed & diced pear yesterday. haha i swear the next three nappies i coulda reused the food haha!! the smell wasn't very nice tho!
*side note* William loves pear and shortbread biscuit. He has decided to chuck a tantrum when he drops it, mummy 'takes it off him' (mind you this is me picking it off his face and giving it back to him) or when it is finished! oooo oh what have i created! haha.

Evening ladies

I hope you are having a great weekend, Tan i hope the weather stayed good for the beach as it has been rainy all day here. I think we are going to go to the museum tomorrow if it is fine as DD really needs to get out and about after our week of housebound. Taz and i have been sick with the cold and i have not had any sleep so it has been a boring week for DD.

Tan good on your for accepting help, it is sometimes a hard thing to do. I am like you and hardly ever ask for help but now i think of it like if someone else needed help i would be the first to be there. What goes around comes around.

Xmas decorations, i cant believe it my MIL works for IGA and she told me they have just placed there orders for easter. I guess xmas will be here before we know it.

I tried Taz on a couple of solids just ever now and then, he is so not ready. He is interested in watching and his little mouth goes but he just does not have it, which is fine by me for now.

Anyway definitely not weight loss here either after DP got a new BBQ for his b,day and tested it out with a yummy roast tonight followed by apple crumble so full.

About 3 minutes after I posted that it clouded over and got hella windy than another 10 minutes and we hit a torrential downpours! Hasn't stopped since *doh* we went and had cake downtown instead! YUMMO!

Apparently it was the hottest and wettest September for us up here since the late 1800s?! And they are thinking the cyclone season could start as early as next week - or so the paper said yesterday - seems we picked a great time to move down south!

Hope you guys are on the mend soon! Change of season has hit a lot of people I know real bad! Easter stock YIKES! A isn't ready for soldis either I don't think, is curious but just doesn't have the correct motions happening and like you I couldn't be happier lol too much effort for now!

Off to watch the footy at my folks - actually I am going to eat all the seafood they have than probabbly use their computer lol care factor for football is about a 5 outa 100 !!! weight loss is at a stand still here too! I heart food way too much but wayne is pushing to get married - I thought the bride to be was supposed to do that not the groom to be haha - so maybe I will think about getting into shape again once we move. a lot of things to do once we move it seems lol

I am following everyones posts but we are busy, bust busy. Camping last night on a friends property, DH got blazing drunk and was too busy vomiting this morning to get the tent down, grrrr. He is in the bad books, although I still found the heart to give him an anti sickness injection when we got home. It was more so I could stick as rather large needle in his butt cheek than anything! Elliot has been hard work today, refused to go to bed, fell asleep on my knee at 9pm. Let's see what tonight brings. Enjoy the rest of the long weekend ladies :)

Your updates on fb are hilarious Shona! No long weekend here in qld - not that it makes a difference to me! Enjoy punishing your hubby!

hello all, glad to see the thread still going -sorry still been so slack.. i can't believe it's october already either.. this year has flown by.. saying that, it's amazing how much life has changed since this time last year huh??

tan, where are you moving to? are you moving near DH? What's happening with you love? hope that coop is behaving himself these days and no more wierd & wondeful incidents ;-)

i agree re solids, Shea's poos look amazingly like pureed (thickened) carrot LOL!! and boy do they smell!!!

we cut back to two meals a day and dunno if it was coincidence but he's now opening mouth and eating it isntead of fighting me three times a day.. mostly sleeping through night from dreamfeed til anytime 4-5..altho DH had him on sat night ( i had a girls night away) and he slept til 5.45...typical!!! then for me this morning he was pretty much awake 3.45-5.45..grr!! am tired now..

ooh, tho can't stop for long (new weight loss challenge starting tomorrow so be flatout for next week or so) thought i'd drop in and tell you that DH decided to sleep back in our bed last night, curled up with me and basically said he loves me, misses me & about trying again.... only taken 7 mths! ah well, at least it's in time for our holiday to thailand in two weeks.. so i'm smiling today (but tired).. tho i think it'll still be a long road but hey i guess the patience has finally paid off.. that's what i get for marrying a much younger guy i guess... flips out occasionally.. hope everyone else's dh's & dps are behaving themselves too these days ;)

ooh, i read about rolling, shea is rolling too.. mainly to right tho he went left once.. sitting up too and put him in walker and he's moving a bit (kicking more by default than intent i think..) i reckon it'll all get much more interesting from here.. reckon we'll need a playpen soon!

shona, did you decide on a breast pump yet?
i'm having dramas - i'm going back to work christmas casual at jb hi fi again. i start in two weeks ! can't do as many hours as i did last year obviously but i need a breast pump still! guna buy one. hired one from the chemist for this week - however again i'm having the issues that it doesn't suction in the right spot on my boob to get much milk out. i just did my left side for almost 30minutes and i only got 60ml and it still feels relatively full!! *doh* it's soo frustrating! any suggestions?

Kirsty what kind of pump did you have that worked? I have a madela swing and it came with both a plastic and a silicon - is that what you are talking about?

Try a power pump to mimick cluster feeding might help Amer boob 10 minutes on 10minutes off thee times - or if time if short 5 minutes each. With the initial let down I always get the most milk than and the stop starting helps.

the hand pump i had was a medela harmony....and yeh it had the two funnels...but then the one i brought for myself from ebay *doh for once ebay let me down!* only had the silicone.
the one i've hired from chemist is medela lactina....it has the plastic funnel...but it's so slow at pumping and i think that is a combination for me not getting much milk. when you increase the 'speed' it just pulls my nipple more and then i get no milk at all.
my friend has a swing - are they worth getting? What kind of power pumps are there? and yes i also get the most milk in letdown...however i find it hard to get them consistantly when pumping...if i do one side and get letdown then do the other i can't usually get it :S...very frustrating...yet with william he gets like three or four per feed....
mayb i can just teach him to suck and spit into a bottle lol!

Kirley: I have not chosen a pump yet but looking at medela freestyle, looks good and portable. Depends on how much you want to spend. I have a friend about to sell her Medela Pump in Style, it's in a backpack and she swears by it, she's on the Sunny coast but wants about $300.

As for the rest of my post, well I haven't got time now, Elliot is starting to crack it! Last night was crap, not sure what's wrong with him :(

Swing is great. I think William spitting it into a bottle sounds nifty - by sure to video it! By power pump I mean use whatever pump you have and do 5 or 10 minute cycles on the one boob to mimick a cluster feed. I can get multiple let downs that way. Must go put bins out before I miss the garbage truck.

Hey ladies, real quickie between appointments.. just a tip re electric pumps, never buy or borrow secondhand (manual ok) as can't sterilise it, only ones can reuse are hospital ones cos they're done to be able to sterilie internally etc..i have avent electrical, really good though i've bust power pack 3 times now (they always express me a new one for free..) cos my milk flow is a bit fast - i need to just set it slower but i'm always in a hurry.. it works really quickly and comes with a battery pack (for expressing on the move, great in the car!!) and bits to use it as a manual, costs about $200.. apart from breaking it a few times (doh!) it's really great to use. and considering they replace bits free their customer service is fab..

The medela pump unit does not come into contact with the milk and you can purchase new collection kit if you want. I hate my avent electrical, manual is a touch better but not much, they work differently for each person!

Hello, where is everyone?! Too busy I guess, so much to do, so little time! I'll have a good old chat about myself then, nothing new there :)

Elliot had his 6 month check today, all seemed good, he was very happy bright and alert. Only 6.8kg, weight gain has slowed right down and he's dropped onto 10th perccentile but CHN didn't seem concerned at this stage. More needles on Friday, poor little chap! Carried him around all day in Ergo, what a marvel I love it! Slept in shopping centre, into car seat, back out and into hospital and all through my appointment with Staff Health, just have to keep moving or he wakes up!

Start my new job 25th, on the one hand really excited but on the other have had the realisation that I will be leaving Elliot, I hadn't really prepared emotionally it hit me a bit suddenly! I feel so guilty, not just at leaving him but that I wanted to leave him at all. Now it's all coming together i'm not sure that I do! I'm sure that me feeling fulfilled in my career will make for a happier Mummy all round and DH does a great job of looking after him and is much better at the house work than me! He is already planning their trips out fishing and other such like "manly" things, DH is very excited! Went in today and so glad I decided not to make a leap back into ED, 2 cardiac arrests and a young girl with a perforated uterus who they thought was going to die, I don't need that kind of stress back in my life right now!!

Sleep time still has its ups and downs in our house! On the whole sleeping much better but still waking more than i'd like, he doesn't need a feed and just get's put back to sleep, I think it's habitual. In fact that's him right now, on cue. Goodnight!

Another long spell between posts for me. I stopped getting notifications again and it seemed like such a hard task to log on again and find the group! It wasn't though :D so here I am. I've just read back the last thread, so I think I may have missed a few weeks of catching up.

Shona - I so relate to what you are saying. I felt guilty for months (still do actually) about wanting to go back to uni (research work) which meant putting DD1 into daycare 2 days a week. Like you I genuinely believe that I am a happier person and mother by being able to fulfill my own interests. In the end I kinda realised that just because I had a baby didn't mean I was a different person, iykwim - I still liked my work and not being able to do it made me frustrated. And things always change, what's right for now can always change if it isn't right in the future. You'll be fine - your hubby sounds like he'll have things under control!

Tan - yep, also hear you loud and clear! Toddler + baby = massive amounts of stress. I don't cope. Don't even pretend to if someone asks me now! Am currently trying to get my toddler to stop whacking the baby's head with books. At this point i'd even be happy if she stopped laughing when she does it. Glad that you are letting some help in, i know it's hard. Especially when the rest of the world isn't OCD ;).

My baby is almost 7 months. Can't believe it. She's sitting, rolling, almost crawling and would eat a three-course steak dinner if she had teeth. There was no transition into solids for her, it was literally gimme gimme gimme. She's almost 8 kg and the only thing i'm not really happy with is the patchy sleep pattern. I'm over the lack of sleep!k

its so hard to believe how quickly this year has gone! we are almost in november!! five pays left till christmas (if you get fortnightly payments) eek!

william has had lots of solids...loves them...definately a pumpkin and pear (not together) fan! oh and cucumber too.
still hates to sleep during the day...night time still at least two times waking for feeds....but not fussed bout that, i'm still getting sleep.
got a tooth coming thru yay!
started swimming lessons - very fun
7.5kg (can't wait to turn the car seat around cuz he hates it backwards!!) shona - also down in percentile, used to be up around 50% now he's below 25%. my friend did tell me that the Child nurses said it's based on formula fed babies now so not to stress about where you are on it if you are bfing.
69.5cm long - up around 75%+ percentile on this one. he's guna be tall like daddy i think.
rolling both ways and getting all round the loungeroom.
start 3rd job in two weeks! so i'm guna be busy...jb hi fi monday - wed, swimming lessons and after school care thursdays, playgroup and arvo off on fridays....work from home on weekends....plus mummy & wifey in there somewhere too :S only for three months till after chrissy. money = good = happy= no broke= bills paid.
anyway gota go do some work.

Majella: nice to hear from you, glad it is not just me with the guilts. I have no idea how you guys with a toddler too manage! DH is keen for another bub soonish and I have been pretty put off with how much hard work it is with one let alone two!

Kirley: You will be one very busy mumma! Good luck with the jobs. Elliot is only 64.5cm, he's going to be short like his Mummy and not tall like Daddy :( I'm not overly concerned with his weight at this point but i'll keep an eye on it. As for car seats, I string toys across between the anchor straps, keeps Elliot entertained. Elliot is waking about 4-5 times per night but only a couple are for feeds, think the others are just a habit that we can't seem to break.

just a quickie cos must go think about packing, off to thailand on tuesday and SO MUCH to do before then.. still going with appointments etc for my challenge... so nice if working was optional eh? ;-)

kirley, rolling both ways is great! Shea pretty much only rolls to the right and he seems to have stopped rolling the past couple of days for some wierd reason, he's got more keen on sitting up and playing with toys and being in his walker - moving round whole house - we really need to look at babyproofing when we get home..

how are you girls still managing with the night wakes? I think i'd fall over right now if still doing it.. my bf hormones seem to have died off, more formula than BM these days :-( only managing probably about 300-400ml MAX of BM a day now.. doesn't help that his appetite for milk has slowed again - but gone from 2 meals to 3 so that could be why.. although we have the odd hiccup (a few nights last week where he woke at a random time and took about 2 hours to go back to sleep!) generally Shea is sleeping through the night til 5 or 6 (7am 2 days ago..wow!! but 4 today) and still doing his 2-2 1/2 hr morning nap and anywhere from 45mins-1 1/2 at lunch and i've reintroduced a 3rd nap again in the avo which is usually about 45mins..since i put 3rd one back in he's stopped the middle of the night wake up.. go figure!

kirley i need to look at carseats too as he's really getting too big for his, he's about 8.5kg now.. looks so big for a 5month old LOL! it's a lot in the length altho he's definitely pleasantly plump too ;) any tips on carseats pls let me know! ooh,f ound some fab organic baby food to take on holiday with us rather than jar stuff - from organicbubs website.. he seems to like it.. great for out and about as it's pretty much the same as making yourself..

ooh kirley, my friend has lent me her Ergo to take on hols, he seems to like the hip, how's william doing with it?

oh majella, the twists and turns of my relationship continue to surprise me too, life sure ain't dull and the whole journey is definitely making me stronger :)

HC: have a great holiday, hope you get some good weather. Shame about the expressing, nothing can stimulate like a baby no matter what pump. I spoke with CHN about solids as Elliot had really decreased BF also but I was told that I should be offering the solids after a BF and not before, I was trying to fill him up on solids but was told that I shouldn't do that until 8 months as they need the majority of nutrition from milk at this stage. Elliot is still awake about 5 timer per night, goes down at 7 then awake at 8, 9, 10 and feed at 11ish then feed again at 3ish. The first 3 wakes he just gets put back to sleep in cot without even taking him out, just needs a turn on his side and a pat of the bum and he's back off. I have accepted this is just how he is and I don't think it's going to change anytime soon, he'll sleep more when he's ready I suppose. He comes into our bed for the 11pm feed and stays in till morning, gets up at 5am with DH but then comes back to bed at 6am when he goes to work and we sleep in till 8.30. I think I must have just got used to broken sleep as I rarely feel tired anymore. The real test will be when i'm back at work!

Kirley: You really are a woman of many talents, juggling so many different jobs!. Are you a swimming teacher too? I have always found christmas an expensive time and now that Elliot is here i'm sure it will be even more so. I'll probably be trying to pull in a couple of overtime shifts to boost the bank balance.

Tan: how's the move going?

Needles today and Elliot was very brave, slept for a couple of hours in the Ergo after while I went round the shops then straight to sleep tonight although already been awake once.

Breast pump arrived today, already got 7 bottles in the freezer and moved onto breast milk bags (that's over the last couple of weeks, not just since the pump has arrived!). Going to give the pump a try now, strange what makes me excited these days!

no on the swimming teacher lol i can't even swim...i meant williams swimming lesson - hehe sorry.
shona i will be excited about a pump tomorow also! lol i'm guna just buy a swing i think....

Kirley: lol, I was a little off the mark with the swimming teacher then! How are the lessons going? Our local lady starts them from 6 months so we are thinking about going soon, might wait for weather to warm up a bit first. We have had Elliot in our pool a couple of times, he's not keen it's pretty cold in there!

I got my pump from iqbaby, the swing is 219.95 on there with free delivery, mine arrived today and I ordered Monday. I have seen them on okmart and nursingangel for 229, hopefully you have found them cheaper somewhere else. It's amazing the difference you can find in price online, I got mine for 395 which was a pretty good price. Had a go tonight and managed 100mls in 15 mins, only single pumped but did each side seperately, got letdown twice, first time with a pump. Swing uses same pumping I think with stimulation then expression, seems to work pretty well. Elliot has fed so many times today, I think I just didn't have much left!

Kirley, where did Maranui go? How is your ergo going? I am using mine alot more now and loving it, especially as Taz jut seems to long to carry in the baby born.

Breast pumps, i have an electric avent IQ and i hate it, i find it really hard and find that it doesn't suck hard enough. I wasn't sure if it was just my boobs or the pump. I might try and hire a different one to see if it makes a difference as i have alot of trouble expressing.

AFU, We are all doing ok, we all got hit with a cold and then 2 weeks later another one so i have seen enough snot to last us a lifetime but we all seem to be on the mend now. Taz has done a couple of rolls but that is about it, he just doesnt seem to be into it and would prefer sitting or when he is on his tummy he pushes himself backwards to move around. The pediatric physio said to practice with him though as it is important for there development. We had to go and see the physio as Taz was born with mild talapese (turns in) in his feet caused from not enough room in the tummy so we now have stretches that we have to do 4 times a day.
He is still really not interested in solids, i keep offering and i did make up some rice cereal with apple but he was not interested and i offer him bits when we all eat but he doesn't want any. (I was hoping that the solids would help him sleep longer.

Sleep seems to still be a bit over the place, it is getting better now he is getting over being sick. Days sleeps though i am lucky if he sleep for an hour straight but usually only last 40min about 3 times a day, might be a bit longer in the ergo. He does go to sleep quicker for DP and if DP lets him sleep on him he will sleep for 2 hours or more.

HC, What is your secret, Shae sounds like a dream sleeper.

It has really started to frustrate me as i am finding it really hard to get alot done.

I hear you girls on juggling a baby with toddlers though i think i have been quite lucky with DD (or it could be the age gap) as she has been reasonable good . She did however feed Taz sunflower seeds and a peanut which he was gagging on until we picked him up. The poor boy was up half the night with tummy pain, i found the sunflowers seed in his nappy today. Yep they come out looking the same as they went in. :)

Tan and SL, what do you wash your cloth nappies in? Do you wash them in cold or hot? Do you wash them by themselves or with other cloths? I have just got some. I think i will still use disposables at night though.

Kirley, How is William going with his swimming lessons? I was thinking of starting Taz.

Bella - lol on the snot front - i hate it, i can handle poos and pukes but snot i hate! glad it's all over now though for you. and thats good that things are easy with DD and bub (mostly :) )....
Solids have not improved William's sleep at all....i've given up trying to make him sleep longer HOWEVER I have figured out that if i sleep with him he goes down for at least an hour and a half....so i let him stay awake for an hour and a half and while he plays on the floor i get stuff done then....then we lay down and i feed him to sleep and we both have a nap. It's working out much better than me trying to get things done while he's asleep. i know it's a bit harder cuz you have an older child also...but maybe if she has an arvo nap you can lay down with Taz and get a sleep too? if i have to go out then i just let him have his short sleep and i get ready then.
Maranui decided that she needed to spend the time with bub i think? rather than post....and check bb...i can't quite remember....Tan and shona? prehaps you remember.....
Also on the avent i have a couple friends who also dislike the avent pump and much prefer the medela eletric....

William LOVES swimming lessons. The lady (debbie) who runs them just does them from home... Two of the mum's from our playgroup take their kids there and thats how i got onto her. She has a heated pool so it's lovely even when it's a bit chilly (its the getting out is the cold part). We've had two lessons so far. She takes them from whenever really. she said she put her grandson in at 3weeks. There are two other babies around 4months old in our group too as well as up to kids just starting to walk. The first week William was more interested in 'where am i' and 'who are these ppl?'... but last week he was kicking and slashing by himself and really watching Debbie when she was singing and doing things. i put him under several times even the first week and no tears or mouthfuls of water. I even enjoy the time now that i'm talking with the other mums. it's 12.50 a lesson for us.

Interesting note on the solid front for us...when i ate banana more than a once of (so like once a day on toast every morning over three mornings) it would give william diareaah and a stomach ache...gave him banana for breaky three mornings in a row and nothing - all normal...weird :S...but it may mean hope for the rest of the foods...although the other things are more high allergy than banana but i'll keep my fingers crossed.

We had a shocking weekend...only 1hour sleep friday night! and a bit better sat night & just whinging all day no matter what we did.....however lastnight he went down at 9 - woke up at 11.30 & 1.30 only for dummy and he didn't even wake up he was just whinging in his sleep.....he woke for a feed at 4.30 and slept again till 5.30. Then we both had a two hour nap at 7 :) yay....and i'm pleased to say that the crappy weekend scored us a tooth at the end of it haha. Well it's not right thru but i can feel it just poking up. So that is the bottom two somewhat thru. At least the crappy weekend wasnt for nothing!
anyway gota go ;) got lots to do today and there dont seem to be enough hours in the day....
for those who get paid fortnightly, only 5pays(including this week) until christmas!! scary huh?!

Bella Mia: we hot wash with 1/4 strength Euca washing powder it's a natual eucalyptus one, works pretty good. I do hot wash 60 degrees by themselves every 2 days. I love them, which ones did you get? Ours are Bumgenius and they have a section on their website with all care instructions on them. It says to use powder and not liquid due to residue and you don't use fabric softener as affects absorbency. I am still pretty new to them, Tan will have more info, she is a pro with them.

Kirley: glad you have had some better sleep. We too have a morning nap together, Elliot gets up with DH @5am then comes back to bed with me at about 6.30 for a couple of hours which is nice. We have no signs of teeth yet.

Not much new here, been out at friends places the last 2 evenings, Elliot has been sleeping in the Ergo while we are there which is fab. Elliot was gumming his way through cheese and pickled onions tonight, he cannot get enough food! Had a huge bowl of banana porridge, kept face planting into the side of the bowl to suck it as I wasn't loading the spoon quick enough, he certainly takes after Mummy! Also fed him roast veg soup over the weekend, had roast garlic cloves in it. When I BF him in the night I was bowled over by the smell of garlic, which I assumed was coming from my milk. DH rolled over to give me and Elliot a cuddle and he had to back away the stink was so bad, woke me up several times was so strong! In the morning when Matt took Elliot for a nappy change we realised that it was Elliot that stank, he was oozing garlic from every pore and his wee stank of it too! It was horrible, may well be steering clear of garlic for now!

We seem to be making steps toward crawling, pushing right up and now starting to see saw on his tummy and move opposing limbs although not getting his knees under quite yet. Hoping he saves it for Daddy when I go back to work!

Shona, if you eat garlic it makes breast milk sweeter tasting apparently :) doesn't stink like garlic when it comes out that way :)

got my medela swing yesterday arvo yay! the chemist price matched the online $220 price i had yay! works good - although i still have trouble getting let down and have to put it on let down speed at least twice; which is a bit frustrating but meh it works eventually lol.

william has had longer sleeps the past two days - needs a resettle and/or feed in the middle but he has been having about 2hours....*fingers crossed* it progresses to unaided sleep.

well, back from hols yesterday mroning, fab time, very little sleep (think taking bub to a timezone 3 hrs behind..ie 7am here is 4am there..ouch early mornings...)

umm.. think i brought something else back with me too (although more likely i took it with me).. just did a pg test (about an hour ago) and still shell shocked..new fandangled one that tells you how pregnant and apparently i'm having another bub..ah ha ha ha ha ha...sh*t!!! haven't even told hubby yet but figured you ladies with the toddlers and bubs can tell me it'll all be fine..ha ha ha.. 14mths between..

well, still early days, prob only conceived a couple of weeks ago so only 4 wks gone.. won't be telling anyone else for a long while.. considering last time was super healthy and this time, spent past 2 weeks drinking (tho only 1-2 a day as started making me feel sick..hmm wonder why!!) eating lots of choc and only started folic acid about 4-5 days ago..it makes me a little cautious this time.. good news is that judging by times we DTD and my likely o date, it is more likely to be a girl... fingers crossed as i don't think i could do a third!!!!

anyway, sorry to be all about me and not read posts i missed but bit shellshocked.. will be back on soon.. ;-/

Woot woo Anita! Won't you be busy! Had your period returned? I have had 1 cycle - started on 24 Sep still waiting for the next - no secret how clucky I am HAHA not sure if I am PG or just not on regular cycles yet!? Haven't had a chance to pee on a stick yet. Perhaps we could be BB again HAHA.

Family friend is having her 2nd next year and bub has same due date as her 1st - 12 months apart. I know lots of mamas with small gaps and from what I see it seems "easier" than the 21/22 months I have - not as independent, not as mobile, etc...
