Hi Keen
I have often wondered about it but haven't bothered whilst been pretty much 'full on' AC.
After we go back for my frostie, if still not there I'm considering seeing 'someone' in regards to my low P4 levels. I do feel I need a natural therapy for helping my hormone levels, I think that is what lets me down.
Hoping there's a possible maybe if I can get that side of things sorted.
Keen - I've done one session of kinesiology and it was fantastic...just finances stopping me from going back...
A friend of mine also did it on her first cycle of clomid, and got pg...however we've just found out that she lost the baby. Not too sure wh though.
It's well worth doing it though...highly reccommended
Keen - I will see if I can get you some info from my Kinesiologist. It is hard to describe what happens or how it works.
Hi,
My brother is studying this at the moment, and will be a qualified Kinesiologist by the end of the year. I have had what they call a "body balance". It is an unusual non invasive type of Natural Therapy. The following web site will give you a great deal more of info to read.
Hope this helps. Good luck with it.
thanks guys - really appreciate it :)
Tam - I recommend Gonzalez at Marmion shopping centre, West Coast Natural Therapies.
When I went he simply looked in my eyes and started to tell me that I wasn't pg. Which at the time I was having repeat bts for low hcg - the following day the hcg dropped! He said some amazing things without me saying a word to him. He gave me vitamins (omega3, calcium and intrefem - which is basically vitex and genseng). He said to "enjoy my life" for a change and that I would be pg within 3 months - it worked almost to the day. Quite amazing. DH isn't convinced and has the quip that "the powers" that be got fed up me always trying and persisting and gave up!!! But DH did say that if the vitamins made me feel good (which the did big time) and even if that was a placebo effect, then that was great!
Ally,
just removed the link, my sweet. But only after Keen posted so I'm sure she's got the address now.
love
sushee
I know this is an old thread but MAGIC if you are still out there I have just completed 3 Months of the Intrefem with Gonzalez and I see you got preggers on his treatment - did you carry full term??
could anyone email me the details of someone in Melbourne who does this?
Can i bump this thread and ask what is the Intrefem with Gonzalez
Kar - have you found me - hehehe
Yes Pitapata - I have.
But I think the link might have come from Ally not me after all that.
I certainly benefitted enormously from having kinesiology both before conception and the whole way through my pregnancy.
Unfortunately I don't know any kinesiologists in Melbourne but perhaps type in Kinesiology Australia into google and on the ATMS site you will find a list of registered and qualified practitioners.
I'm happy to give you more info about my specific issues by PM if you like.
Pitapata - I go to a kinesiologist who is also a naturopath & homeopath in outer eastern Melbourne. She's not cheap but she has definitely helped me with many of pregnancy niggles as well as food allergies that I suffer from. If you search on "Absolute Potential Jenni" you'll find her website.
PM me if you want more info :)
Hi Pitapata,
Where in Melbourne do you live? I know of a great kinesiologist at a fertility-focused clinic in Melb, I can PM the details to you if you like.
xo
could you please PM me those details too SJH
i am up for anything and everythin!!!

hiya, i'm karan, a newbie...i've never used kinesiology to concieve, but did find in truly beneficial when recovering from fibromyalga. kinesiology is based on acupuncture/5 element theory and cognitive learning studies. if you go to Australian Traditional-Medicine Society (the Australian Traditional-Medicine Society) you can search for registered and fully qualified practitioners in your area and The Australian Kinesiology Association Inc - The Peak Body for Kinesiology in Australia the Australian Kinesiology Association website will help you with more info. Good luck and best wishes,
Karan
Thanks sarah that would be great
i searched Absolute Potential Jenni" but it says she is in QLD !!
ok she is in both Vic and QLD and her Vic clinic is not far !!yay first time i only drive 10 min for a appointment lol
Pitapata - yep, Jenni works in both Melb and the Gold Coast but actually lives in Melb. She knows well in advance when she's in each state so easy to make bookings.
I hope you find her helpful - it's uncanny some of the things she has said to me!
goodluck pitapata,
it's weird the first time but it is amazing how it can pick up stuff you don't know is actually going on.
Hi all,
My acupuncturist wants me to try kinesiology. Has anyone else tried it and if so, how did you find it? I am rather skeptical and am concerned about how much all of this is costing! After over 3 years LTTTC I am feeling very jaded and am starting to imagine life with just DH and I and maybe a pet! With ICSI there's nothing that should be stopping us having a healthy baby. It is so frustrating and of course we'll try anything. but are we just wasting our time with kinesiology and throwing more good money after bad?
Any advice or experience that anyone could share with me would be very much appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
Hi
I studied Kinesiology some years ago now but never really practiced as it was more for myself. And yes I am a sceptic too.
Its a whole body/person type of thing, couldn't hurt. Although there are many different types of Kinesiology. So long as you see someone who is understanding you have nothing to lose.
Kinesiology was originally developed in the Chiropractic field (although there is no crunching involved). It was found that certain muscles responded and were connected with different systems in the body. It is 'muscle testing' often referred to as biofeedback. Its not based on strength but the integrity of a system. The muscle is used as a reference point for testing. You may be asked to put your arm or leg in a certain position and the practitioner will apply pressure to test a muscle which in effect is testing a particular system eg. large intestine, lungs etc. it is similar to acupuncture and in fact can use meridan points for correction. The whole point is to bring your body into balance. And in particular the type of Kinesiology I used expanded into most areas of a person ie. emotion, lifestyle etc. It can be very deep and very powerful but its up to you to choose whether this is for you. Listen to your inner voice and see what it says.
As for me I haven't used it during my fertility treatment - i'm not sure why - i think I have some emotional stuff to deal with and I am just not facing it. But who knows, go with your gut feeling.
Hope this helps!:)
Hi ladies
I am going back to my Kinesiologist on Thursday for another balance, i find she is great, i don't know if it would help with fertility but it is certainly a relaxing feeling and in that it might help. You might be interested in this website i have stumbled across today, they do herbal remedies up and specialise in "BABY MAKING" they have also been on A Current Affair. Anyway i have joined cause i don't think it can hurt. They will do a consultation net style if you want or consultation if you are on the Gold Coast also.
Good luck.
Full term, see the young man in the pic!!!
Hi Keen,
I can vouch for the use of kinesiology in all matters of conception, pregnancy, birthing and family. I am of course biased as I am a kinesiologist!
Kinesiology works with your body?s innate ability to heal itself.
Everyone has their own unique biochemistry and therefore should be treated individually. Using gentle muscle monitoring, we receive, via your nervous system, the unique information offered by your body?s emotions and thoughts.
Working with your muscles is like opening a filing system of your past experiences. Muscles store a range of emotional memories, some of which take us right back to the first time you had these experiences. Clearing this memory is what we aim to do during a kinesiology ?balance?.
I work with woman and families all the time to help them conceive, help them have a happy and safe pregnancy, and to have a natural birth. I also work with women trying to help women have Vaginal Births after Caesarean.
Hi,
I tried acupuncture and fertility treatments for over a year before I fell pregnant. I had stopped the acupuncture about 3 months before and decided to give kinesiology and chiropractic a go. I took a month off work to reduce stress levels and focus on me. Within 6 weeks I was pregnant. I definitely support you trying kinesiology.
DANNIIM ... i conceived DD with the help of the herbal formula from Ruth Sharkeys, they seriously performed a miracle for us ... they wanted to get my cycle to a 28 day cycle i thought are they kidding as my cycle had been a 31days cycle for over a decade ... anyway, after taking it for 4mths my cycle became a 28days cycle & was so for another 4mths & then i was pregnant with my 1st bub at 39 (gave birth at 40) ... and to think my Gyno (also IVF specialist at Monash) before said my only way to fall pregnant was with the help of IVF (well, i showed him )
There is a navy photo frame in their foyer of my DD, on the frame it says " I LOVE BEING A HERBAL BABY " ;)
