Oh yay I'm first.

Walking... so like ALMOST! Still standing up and will reach as far as he can, but still just furniture surfing!

Yay Ned!WTG!Gemma is getting there.Shes getting faster at cruising the furniture!LOL!She still just isn't confident enough yet, but she can stand on her own for a while and keep her balance so thats a start.

Hopefully I'll be on here more now if Gemma lets me!ROFL!

Whoa!!! Ned and Gemma will be running around in no time!!

Jack still isn't mobile but pulling himself up on everything and getting quite confident on his legs too!!

And finally his 4 top teeth are thru and making their way down south... He's so much happier now and no more teething pain, well for now anyway LOL!!

But he has got a runny nose and a little cough, so u can never win can ya!!!

Yay Jack on getting his top teeth!!Gem's are nearly through, explains why shes been so clingy the last week and off her bottles, must be hurting her gums at the front.

Geez I can't believe our babies are nearly 10 months old!Where does the time go!?

Indah is now only having a boob feed in morning & at night & 1 bottle during the day, she is drinking cows milk in a cup during the day as well, so I am gonna try to get her on to only morning & night breastfeeds so i can do all them b4 & after work... NO more bottles would be HEAVEN!!!!!

She is now standing up in her cot most times we go in there...

Where have all the bubba's gone??????

Wow Indah's on cows milk!I have been wanting to try Gemmie on it. Might give it a go today. Did Indah take to it straight away, I mean notice a difference??

She was eating cereal with cows milk, so I slowly added some to her cup of water & havent noticed anything change!?

My sis had her yesterday & I gave her 2 bottles as usual of EBM, but asked her to offer the cup first, which she did, but then she ended up giving her the bottle as she looked tired , so she had 2 bottles of EBM yesterday again. But is still having cows milk in the cup too!

Woohoo Indah!!I wish I could get Gemma to use the cup.She just tips it over herself!!LOL!SHe can however finally hold her bottle herself.

Oww and breaking news Gem is now walking!! Last night she just started going for it!! I think she was showing off for Daddy. Corey and I were shocked!She just started doing it everywhere!She gets super excited though and throws her head back and falls over.Cheeky monkey!

Kirsty, Jack has just started to hold his own bottles too! He actually holds it with one hand sometimes and pulls his hair with the other!!! It's so funny..

Trace, that is so good that Indah is taking cow's milk too and u still get to feed her morn and night... Jack is the same with a cup as Gemma and tries to tip it over himself, I have to get a good grip on it!!!hehehehe

I've gotta go thru the Kmart catalouge and see what to get for Jack, cause they open at 7am here tommorrow, so I've gotta get there early and fight off the other mums!!!hehehe:p

Kirsty, OMG @ Gemma walking, although I know maddy was walking unaided at 10 months... It's so cute hey!! they are so proud of themselves!

Indah is not wanting to walk much, a few steps at the furniture, but then crawld away again! She doues get off the potty herself though, but tends to tip the wee all over herself then..... So I now sit there &when she is done she stands up holding my hands & yells "YAY!!!!!!!"

PMSL Alex about Jack pulling his hair and holding the bottle!!hehehe Owww I love a good sale!We don't have Kmart here.........sigh......wish they did.

I still can't believe that Indah uses the potty!!Gem can't figure out how to use the straw. She did it once then seems to have forgotten!Silly sausage!Yep walking unaided, crap, I didn't think about the running thing. Probably will be when I'm hugely pregnant and can hardly walk!She'll probably get great delight in running away from me. When we go shopping now I put her in the trolley and she pats my belly!So cute!

Am having an emotional day today. Heard a song and started to cry! What a sooky lala. Gem's in daycare for part of the day so I'm doing house work and washing. Feels weird doing it mid-week. Normally its a huge rush on the weekends to do it. Feels nice though to be bludging around the house, even though I feel incredibly guilty.

ETA:I miss my little girl.....hmmm should go pick her up early!hehehe

Alex we have decided to get makon a trampoline for xmas( i know he's probably to young but he luuurrrvves to bounce)so my sis is having a look at it tonight for me (the Kmart near her opens at midnight:eek: )

well not much been happening here makon was weighed yesterday he is still growing very very slowly he is now 8.28 kg and 71.5cm but he is my skinny minnie who is constantly on the move!

I am actually sad about it!!! But for my own sanity I just cant keep up the expressing... She is 9+months & I think I have done the best for her... She is happy & healthy & so I feel OK about just feeding mornings & night... I was so tired from working F/time, expressing twice a day was just knocking it out of me! We go to QLD in 3 wks & so I am trying to keep enough day milk, to feed while we are there & then after that it will be mornings & before bed!!! So that's OK!

Geez its cold again here this morning. Gem did not want to get out of bed this morning!LOL! I'm looking after my 4 yr old neice this morning. Shes soooo excited and Gem will be to when she sees her.

Well I;'ve tried Gemma twice now on regular milk and she has not even noticed the difference. Apart from the fact on normal milk shes hungry sooner, as formula fills her up.

SO my question is when can I start to progressively change her over from formula to regular milk? Can I start now with just one bottle a day swapped? Or is it to soon?? I'm s tad clueless with this stuff, but I'm stoked that Gemma hasn't noticed the difference so thats why I'm thinking sooner rather than later!LOL!

You could start mixinbg cows milk into your formula bottles like a a quarter cows milk then after a few dyas half etc, til it's fully cows milk.. bUt I guess the q is do you wnat her to be having cows milk in a bottle for however long or start using a cup?

My name is Liz, and i first registered when i was pregnant but have just not made time to get back on this site again, which i should have done a long time ago!
But anyway i am here now!
I said in my original post that we were having a little girl called Gemma(what a great name kirsty!), which we did on the 19th Sept the day after one of my daughters turned 13!
She was 9 pound 10oz and delivered by my 2 best friends (midwives) so that was pretty good for all of us.
We have had a few ups and downs with her recently, in hospital with croup and then gastro twice in 2 weeks but things are slowly getting better and she is returning to her happy placid self.
She is a big girl!! weighing about 8.3kg,her dad is very tall so she gets her size from him.
Gemma is NOT even close to walking or pulling herself up, only commando crawls. But she has 2 brothers and 2 sisters to carry her everywhere (so who needs to walk!)


I work at one of our local kindergartens, but have only gone back to work on a friday doing a 3 yr old group since having Gem. We also run our own business from home (Ash is an Electrician) so i do all the bookwork for that as well.

That is enough about me, i look forward to getting to know you all and your bubs alot better.

Well just having a ****e day already!! Have had to rush Gem to the doctor as her temp spiked to 38.6 and climbing. Looks like she has a slight infection probably in her sinuses, hence the green snot today. Shes asleep now but we spent all night up with her as we just could not settle her. Eventually the nurofen must have kicked in or exhaustion cause she fell asleep at 3am. Needless to say we are all a little worse for wear this morning especially Gemma. Poor little sausage.

Well not much to report here. Gemma's front top teeth as through so shes in a fantastic mood. Shes walking everywhere!! She looks so funny though as her arms are stuck right out either in front or up high to balance herself. And she gets so excited that she tries to run!eeekkk! I'm so pleased that she is walking just wish it was AFTER I had this next bub!

Kirsty ISKWYM about trying not to laugh at them when they are being serious! i have a hard time when trying to stop makon from doing something (like playing with the cd's) and he knows he isnt meant to he will look at me and laugh and it so hard not to laugh to!

Yeah, I had Kaitlyn when I was 19 and adopted her out. And I am so glad that the agency I went thru is really for keeping in contact and all that... She is so big now and such a cutie, and they adopted another little girl who is about 3 now, so she has a sis now too!!
I also got to choose the family she went too, and I made sure that they had animals, didn't smoke or drink and they were young too, about 29-30.

And thinking about it all now, people ask me if I regret it now and no I don't. I am an extremley strong person and I made up my mind when I found out I was pregnant ( I found out at 5 months!) and didn't change my mind. Also my mum is adopted and she has had a really good experience with it all. I also think that I have given these people the best gift they could ever ask for. And I feel good about that. Having Jack now and how much he means to me ,I know what heartache people must go thru when they find out that they can't have children. It must be horrible...

Anyway sorry for the huge post!!hehehehe I just kept typing!!

Well done to you for making such a decision and for being so strong & comfortable with it! Well done! I am proud of you... I cant imagine how hard it was & has been, but also rewarding to see her & know she has gone to a loving family that really wanted her & are so obviously good parents!!!

I hope everyone is well, Dh is still at home in pain with his ear, back off to DR today, I hope they give him a needle or something to fix it ASAP, as we are flying on Tuesday & it must hurt to fly with a painful ear???

Hmmmm I've seriously got to find other things to do as it seems I'm stalking BB forums atm!! PMSL!! Took Gem out to see my parents today. She was walking everwhere, they were proud grandparents. Just found out that my poor old Nanna has an abdominal anurism. Never even heard of one before. Apparently its terminal but she also has dimensia so I guess its not to bad then. At least she really has no idea whats going on and that its terminal. The cognition is just not there IYKWIM. I'm not sad about it as to be honest I hardly know my Nanna, am more upset for my Mum thats for sure as her and my Dad are going to the gold coast to be with her and my grandad for her doc appt this monday, which is my Mum's 50th birthday!! Talk about ****ty timing huh!? Never mind hopefully things go well......sorry for the babble.........Corey's not home yet!LMAO!
