Got Their BFP in October
:dunno:
I am officially CD1 :leap:
funny feeling being so glad :)
Woot, AF finally came so just like myturn I am officially CD1!!!! Eeekkkk, Puregon injections start tomorrow!!!! Does anyone have any advice as to what time I should do the injections??? Apparently there can be some side effects so I thought I would ask if anyone has found a 'perfect' timing schedule!
Thanks guys!!! xxxx
I dont do purgeon i do gonal f i dunno if it matters but i use the gonalf at the same to everyday
Jo, I always did my injections (puregon and gonal-f) in the morning. Your Dr should have given you instructions since the timing usually depends upon their preferences.
Woohoo myturn and Jo for being CD1!! I did my puregon injections in the morning too Jo, my gonal F or orgalutran injections were always in the evening. I always got my instructions from my IVF nurse.
Hi to everyone in here, I hope you're all travelling ok :)
AFM, I have my IVF nurse app. on Tuesday to pick up my drugs. Our finances for the new business are still not in order, with new things popping up all the time to pay, lawyers, finance brokers, etc, I really hope there is enough money for us to do a cycle in Nov. I will be so devastated if we have to move it out, again.
congrats to jo and myturn for getting ur af! Im having pretty bad side effects from the metformin.diareohea mainly and cramping quite painful. Taking imodium to try n help. I was just wandering if anyone else who is on it had this side effect at first then your body got use to it? Because i dont want to stop it if its helping me.
Wish - metformin does give you really bad diarrhea. I still get it now sometimes, a year on :(
The first few weeks are the worst.
The best thing to do is take it with food. Preferably nothing sugary, fried or carb based.
I wouldn't take Imodium with it.
Thanks Wish, Miss B and Juniper! My IVF nurse hasn't told me when to do the injections yet... I'll try to give her a call in the morning! I had heard others on another forum say to do them at night to sleep through any bad side effects so I just thought I would ask you lovely women to see what you do...
Wish: I wouldn't take immodium to help with the diarrhoea... Speak to your FS an get their opinion, but at uni we were told that immodium can cause lots if problems if used continuously... Try eating more fibre and protein and less fat rich foods... Hope this helps!!!
Really the pharmacist told me it was ok to use.but i will try going without.thanks
I used to do my injections in the morning (Gonal-f), so I could tick it off the list of things to do and wouldn't be nervous all day about it. I don't think my clinic was very strict with times as they told me to hold off till after the blood test to see if they need to up or down the dose.
Yeah Metformin and diarrhoea, it will definitely get better after a while. My FS told me to take 1 tablet a day for a week or so, then 2 a day and if I wanted I could take 3 a day, but as I'm not taking it for PCOS, she was happy for me to stick with 2 a day, which I have done since February this year. - Like n2l said take the tablet with food.
AFM today is day 2 and on for a blood test tomorrow, my first FET this month, am a bit nervous, don't want to get my expectations up too much as another BFN will totally crush me. I know we were lucky to find out we can actually fall pregnant, even if it was with help, but who knows if we'll ever get to the end of 9 months with a precious little one in our arms. After 3 years of trying we're starting to loose hope as there are no guarantees. Sorry about the whinge, just pretty sad as someone was asking me how I was doing after the missed m/c... Thought I was starting to get over it, but no such luck. Anyhow fingers crossed for everyone and sending hugs as well. And yay for AF for myturn & Jo!
I have some catching up to do here lol.
Yay myturn and Jo. GL for this cycle
Me4ever, hope the bt goes well tomorrow. FX this FET is the cycle for you.
Wish, drink water too so you don't get dehydrated.
Miss B I hope everything with the new business gets sorted quickly so you can get that November cycle in.
AFM, just hoping this cycle goes really really quickly. I have done nothing productive this weekend and feel deliciously lazy! :) wishing everyone a wonderful weekend.
Myturn - yay for CD1. Its bitter sweet really isn't it? For me it was like starting a new chapter, but never forgetting.
Jo - Yay for you too x I had to take my Gonal F at 9pm each night. Not too sure about Purgeon.
MissB - I hope that you can afford to do a cycle as soon as possible. I hope the new business is going well.
me4ever - Good luck with your first FET. Its a lot easier on your body than a stim. Lining up to do my last one was so easy. Apart from the daily BT. Of course the TWW is always hard lol.
Wish - I hope your body gets used to the metformin soon.
Hi to N2L, juniper, miloro, and everyone else.
AFM - I am back home now. I feel like I can feel my left ovary still. I wish it was implantation signs, but too early for that lol.
Wish and dreams- did they start you on one for a few days then 2 then 3, that's what they did for me and it helped with the diarrhea and sick feeling, info forget it now and take 2 close
Together I get the diarrhea again. Hope it settles down soon for you.
Myturn - yah for af arriving, it's awful to think we get so excited by it when we want to start a cycle.
Missb - I hope you don't have to put your November cycle off and the finances sort itself out.
Jo - I always did my injections in the morning, I noticed with puregon I got a rash where it wen tin and it itched for about ten minutes then it all went back to normal, I was less hormonal on it than gonalf.
Me4ever - hope your scan results tomorrow are good :-)
Vic - crossing my fingers for you.
Hi to anyone I missed.
Afm- just waiting for af and juggling finances for our ivf cycle as dh's car blew up today, we decided 2 wks ago to not get a new one yet and save some money....so much for that theory, new car is on the cards.

Miliro- thanks, we got the car we have wanted for a while, brand new top of the range blue Colorado coming our way on Thursday....so excited. Have a new family car now want our next cycle to work to fill it up ;-)
great eggie haul nire!!! woo hoo :)
Omg took me ages to find the new thread ! The links never work for me ):
Juniper could you please put me at CD9 waiting for O ....
(ill be CD9 on wednesday 23rd)
Im going for my day 9 blood test & ultrasound tomorrow. This is my first treatment cycle & im very excited. Im not doing anything hardcore just yet, my FS is starting out with cycle tracking & ovulation induction for 2-3 cycles & then we might look at AI.... But hopefully we wont have too FX !!!!
So I took clomid from CD2-CD6 abd only suffered a few minir side effects, the main thing was the emotion & tears. But im feeling alot better now & very positive ! Depending on my US & BT results tomoz ill probably start the ovidrel trigger injections in a couple of days. So thats were im at & im hoping & wishing all the best for everybody wherever you are on your ttc journey
Love Curtysgirl xoxo
Hi all! Wow, took ages to find the thread, the link didn't work for me and it kept telling me it didn't recognise my name or anything... Hhhmmmm...
Nire: congrats on the great numbers! Fx it looks good after the report for you!!! :)
Curtysgirl: good luck for your cycle! I hope chlomid works magic for you!!!
Kerbear: sorry to hear about your car, but how exciting about the new one!!!! Fx you have it all filled up in no time!!!
AFM: I rang my ivf nurse yesterday and she told me to start my injections today (CD3), and that it didn't matter what time I did them, as long as I was consistent with what time I do them during the cycle. I spoke to DH and he wants to be with me when I do them so we have decided to do them each night at 8:30... I won't lie- I'm freaking out a whole lot!!! Lol!
Also got weighed in at the gym last night and I lost another 400gms.... I was hoping for a lot more than that but I feel so bloated and heavy with AF! :( I did lose 2.5 cm from my hips and 1 cm from my waist though! :) Well I better get out of bed, I have to head back to uni today for exam revision, then to distract myself til tonight! Lol!
Have a great day everyone!!! xx

Got Their BFP in October
:crying:
Hi Juniper, I am on CD13. I went to see my FS last week, he said he suggest me to do the stimulation cycle and then transfer in a natural cycle, this way will increase 5% more chance because I was sick for progesterone, so he said my body might have enough progesterone myself. I might do the stimulation cycle in November cycle (I have not decided it yet), the doctor said the trigger he will use the different medicine, it will affact my line (i think it refers to the lining), so the transfer will be in the other fresh cycle.
Does anyone do the FET in a natural cycle? It means I don't need to use progesterone after transfer, is it right? Should I still need a little bit progesterone support?
Anyway, Monash IVF is going to have a nutrition and fertility seminar on 13th of November in Hawthorn Melbourne, I am going to attend it. If anyone is interested in, you can register it on the following web.
[remove link]
Rosemarry, the FET I did last cycle was a natural FET. I still used progesterone pessaries after transfer, but I don't think they're essential (kind of just an extra boost, which I was happy to have because I think my natural progesterone levels may be low lately). You could always get your progesterone level tested at 7dpo to see if it's high enough and only use the pessaries if your level is low.
Hi everyone!
Hope you all had a great day.
I got a call from the clinic today- we have 11 embies :)
Now I'm just keeping everything crossed that they make it through the week. Transfer is booked for Saturday.
Still being monitored for potential ohss.
Start Crinone gel tonight oh what fun!
The things we do to get pregnant hey girls?!
Well done nire. Its like we keep needing to pass all these little tests. Good follies, check. Eggs, check. Good fert rates, check. You must be so looking forward to saturday :) its all very exciting x
Nire: congrats!!!! Fx for transfer!!!
Well, I have just done my 1st Puregon injection, and after stressing out for the last few days, I'm happy to report I did it myself and it didn't hurt!!! It is totally true what they say though, nurses make the worst patients!!! Lol!!!
Go jo :-) xo well done, i actually dont mind the puregon needles now, what the?... i just said that! haha! but i hate the blood tests more!
Ill be joining you tomoz with my first dose this cy :-)
Nire I wish you a BFP those are good numbers :-) xoxo
goodluck ladies xoxoxo
Juniper im CD 2 Today thanks hun xo :-)
kinda wondering what im still doing going thru this again this cy! feel like im just wasting my time n money and emotions! even an OI cycle is so expensive! and if i ever go a bub id never care but i am not having much luck.
arent i the positve one! lol, i guess im trying to be realistic so i dont get too let down .. again
Sarah, I totally understand what you mean about blood tests!!! I HATE needles and used to get sick everytime I had one but now they don't bother me too much!!!!
Good luck and FX'd with your cycle!!! :)
Aaarrrrggghhhh, I wish I was up to 50 posts so I could pm you!!! I know what you mean about the costs and that was the main reason DH and I have waited so long to continue our fertility journey past chlomid... I was so fortunate to find my clinic- nearly all costs are covered by Medicare and so this cycle I have only had to pay for my medications... A big relief when I decided to continue furthering my education and still wanted to get the 'family thing' started!
Hang in there if you can, I was once told that because we have to work so hard it to have our babies, we will get so much more love and joy from them when it happens!!! xxxxx
They will be special that's for sure!!!
Had my blood test this morning to check for clotting factors etc... it was only 5 vials of blood, not the 9 I was expecting... phew!! I was SOOO anxious this time though - which was weird..... anyway.....
well done Nire! 11 embies.... is an awesome number.......
Hi all,
Sorry for being so slack. Just finding it hard to be enthusiastic. Started taking the pill five days ago for my first ever down reg cycle. I have had a shocking headache for the past 24 hours - I wonder if it's somehow related!?? It's been a very, very long time since I've been on the pill!
Thinking of you all. Still reading, just not posting so much.
Take care :)
aw thanks Jo :-) xoxox i know we will all be so grateful just to have a bub at all thats for sure!
OMG yes the money thing has kept us back from doing the IVF thing alot too!
i would sell anything if i knew it would work and prob would anyway just to try but DH does not feel this way unfortunatley.
I keep thinking we have spent waay too much on things that are not working that would have coverd IVF for sure!
you can email me if you want :-) if im allowed to post my email addy??
xox
Sarah, my email is my username at hotmail if you wanna send me yours then I will reply! :) xoxox
Hi Juniper, thanks for letting me know I can test my progesterone level, do you mean I can test it on the day 7 after the period?
Rosemarry, no, 7dpo = 7 days past ovulation, so 7 days after you ovulate. You want to test the mid-luteal level (when progesterone peaks).
