I haven't worried about waxing or shaving down there for sometime. I do my bikini line and that's it. Dh is convinced this isn't normal. He is convinced that EVERYONE had a Brazilian. It seriously doesn't worry me. The only one it worries is him.
Tell me I'm not the only one who really isn't worried about it growing (but do the bikini line)

I trim up the whole area with a battery operated trimmer.
Suits me as I prefer hair, but like to be neat :-)
I'm too slack to even do bikini line :redface: but that's as far as I'd go.
No Brazilian here. Won't have one for various reasons. Just everyday basic bikini and only when I need to, or for a special occasion.

Normal. Completely normal... since that is how you were designed! I do nothing except the occasional bikini line trim IF I am going to be wearing a bikini.
If it were up to me I'd never touch it, except if I'm wearing bathers or something I'd do a bikini fix up. DH likes it gone every now and then so he does it himself - if all I have to do is lie back and read a book he can go ahead :rofl:

If EVERYONE has a Brazillian, then he should too. Arse crack and all. Once he's had his done, he can then tell you whether it's "normal" or not.

Barely touch it at all except to trim in winter; bikini line or a bit more in summer.
You are normal, your DH on the other hand seems to be putting too much stock in glossy magazines. ;)

You could also ask him if he expects his mother or your daughters (when they hit puberty) to have Brazillians?

Yeah it's normal. If he's getting his info from centrefolds remind him they photoshop out the labia too. ;)
But on a serious note it should never ever be about what everyone else is doing. But what makes you feel comfortable. Your body, your rules and all that jazz :)

I have been totally natural for about 10 years now and wouldn't have it any other way. Bloody hell, we spend enough money on hair and eyebrows and make up etc. I am more than happy to leave my vagina as is. I haven't had any complaints yet.
Sorry BS DH but I also only wax my bikini line & trim the rest with scissors about once a month. Have made DP promise that when we conceive & I can no longer see or reach down there that he will keep it tidy for me :rofl: but to be honest I'm more concerned about the odd gray hair that pops up :D

I get Brazilians and have for years but I'm getting over it. I like the underneath bit hair free, because I feel cleaner that way, but am trying to grow something back over the mons area. Bring back the bush :)
this whole obsession of being hair free like a porn star is creeping me out. I wouldnt let it run free, because otherwise it would be down near my knees, but I don't want it to be bald either.
I have about 6 times had Brazalians. I did it to see what all fuss was about and also for a few specific reasons.
I don't otherwise do anything as no time, too lazy and OUCH it hurts!!!!! I also figure it is not exposed to other people like legs and underarms so not an issue (I wear pants a lot as too lazy to get legs waxed half the time!)
As much as I would like to, I can't. I get killer ingrowns!
I read an article the other day which stated boys of a particular age thought women had hairless genitals (as in that is their natural state!). Down to porn apparently. I find that alarming.

I have been having brazillians every 6 weeks since I was 17. It has been killing me not being able to wax post c section but ive finally booked in to have it done on Thursday. Im seriously thinking about leaving a bit thought and not going the whole brazillian. hmmmmm
I use to like to be trim (or bald) prior to kids but now I couldn't care less, I have far too many other things to be concerned about! I'd prefer to spend $70 and half an hour of my time on a relaxing facial rather than a painful wax! :lol:
I shave my bikini line and trim myself to keep things tidy but as far as Brazllian's go these days, I think I've only had 3 in 4 years and two of those were just prior to the birth of both my DDs.

I think your DH is taking too much stock in porn tbh. Has he had many sexual partners? I just find it strange that a grown man doesn't realise that the majority of women have hair on their vulva.
I've recently started getting brazilians. For me, not DH. I exercise a lot these days and find it feels nicer and less sweaty to be waxed. But I get a few ingrowns despite proper care so I might go back to trimming.
Interestingly, my DH's preference is not only for hair, but a pretty healthy bush lol!
I've never really given my pubic hair much thought. The only person that would really ever see it is DH and if he doesn't like it well…tough!

I go through phases of having Brazilians then just trimming. Depending on how I feel. Just to reiterate its how 'I' feel. If my DH told me to go get a Brazilian I'd tell him to go jump lol. Don't think he hasn't tried, but my subsequent lecture convinced him to keep his trap shut.
At the moment I'm just trimming, ever since pg and morning sickness way too lazy to go anywhere.
My dh keeps asking me to get a Brazilian I just tell him ill do it if he does it lol and I know he never will
But I do shave the bikini line and trim the rest with an electric trimmer or fully shave every now and then purely because I like it that way but I think my poor vagina has been subjected to enough with 2 kids
I feel I have to be a good role model for my kids and help them see adult women have hair in their vulvas. I trim in summertime on the rare occasion I go swimming, but I prefer to keep it as natural as possible.

It makes me sad that porn has influenced people's view if women's bodies so much. Seriously, plastic boobs, no hair, no long labia, no body fat etc. it's bad for men too, but they are the target audience so I don't feel sorry for them as much.
I would be concerned if dp found my vulva a turn on looking like our young daughters. Children don't have hair, women do. I find it quite disturbing really on many levels. So in response to your dp, I don't think it is "normal" to be hairless.
Normal. I am a woman, not a girl. Having no hair down there, and DH being turned on by it, would creep me out.
What N2L said. And besides - ouch! And it looks gross growing back (especially with my tiger stripes lol!). No brazilians here.
Porn is getting a lot of blame for the desire for hairless pubic areas, but the only time I have ever thought that maybe I should remove my pubic hair is when I was having my first child and *everyone* on BB was talking about how they had removed or at least trimmed the area prior to the birth. I think there is more pressure from other woman and doing what everyone else does and the implication that if you have a hairy muff then you are not as clean/tidy than the next woman.
I Havent touched mine in months. I am slightly embarrased to admit that I have the odd pube growing on my inner THIGH.
Usually I would trim it and pluck out the strays with tweezers.

As the mother of a daughter who will soon start growing pubic hair, I want her to know that hair on a vagina is completely normal. I trim occasionally and check my bikini line if I am going to wear a bikini, but other than that I'm natural. I have had Brazilian's in the past and I found it exceptionally painful - not to mention awkward! My DH doesn't care either way, although if they get to the point that they need to be plaited he might mention it!
Never had one. Id actually find it a bit of a turn off for a partner to want me to. Never been an issue though.
I think I'm in the minority of baldies! I have had waxes done professionally years ago, and started on laser more recently but just do it myself now to save money. I prefer it and I think dp does too but he'd never say it lol
Mind you, when my belly is too big to get around, or there is an impatient bub taking up my relaxing shower time, removing pubic hair probably won't make the priority list.
Someone's comment about setting a normal body image for the kids was a great point.
I keep things tidy, but never completely bald. I don't wax. I think a razor is fine.
I shave part of my front, otherwise my c/s scar gets itchy.
It depends how I feel. Summer i tend to keep things very short and under control. Winter, well. It's too cold to be worrying about shaving!
I do go hairless in summer, but I don't have a lot of hair (don't actually have to do bikini line as there isn't really hair along the creases).
In winter I'm trimmed.
I prefer a man to be trimmed. I had an x who did the whole wax thing (back, sack & crack).
