Crystal Clear + or - ?

:hello: - I am just wondering if anyone has recieved a false positive using a Crystal Clear hpt?

I got a very feint and thin line and I am about 9dpo so I dont know if this is a problem with the test or if it may be a positive or if it's too early to know?:confused:

I appreciate any advice you have.:help:

Sounds like your UTD to me! A line is a line.. even if it is feint! Test again in a couple of days with FMU and you should get another line which might be a little darker! 9dpo is a bit early but it all depends when O and implantation occured.

HPT's rarely give a fals positive.

hi i used crystal clear with my daughter and got a really faint + at around 10DPO so keep testing! good luck!

9 DPO is a little too early to test, wait a few days and then test again with your FMU.

I used crysal clear HPT and got a faint which later turned out to be a positive.

Thanks girls - this waiting is just killing me. And I am having some cramps like af so I hope thats just early pg cramping. I did have that with my first pg.

Sounds exactly like me, now I am 5 weeks and 2 days preganant! I got a feint blue + with Crystal Clear on 9dpo, I had cramping too!

When I was asking about Crystal Clear (I posted some pics of my feint + in my post 'Fortel Ultra - Is this a feint +' I was told by several BB's that CC was the most sensitive and reliable...

Let us know how you go, I couldn't wait to test so did another one on 9dpo PM, and the line just kept getting darker, by 10dpo it was a definate!

Thanks BD - I am hopefull that I will get a darker ling but for now it's just not getting darker.

I will keep waiting and hopefully get a BFP soon!

Hi Zoe,

I also got a faint positive from a Crystal Clear test quite early and am now almost 8wks. It threw me quite a bit as I don't have 'regular' cycles and didn't know when I O'd - so after I got the + so early, I thought I was further along than I actually was!! I must have got the + about 9dpo aswell. I was about a week out which then scared the crap out of me. GL.

Hey Kelly, was your line easy to see or were you twisting and turning in different lights like me? The funny thing is that the first line was darker than the ones I'm getting now!

Yep BD - thats what my first test looked like. I just haven't got any darker than that yet.

Oh I am so hopefull and part of me just goes, yep I must be pg but then I dont get a darker line and get AF pains on and off.

I love your pic, it is so like mine, I even showed DH and he said well your line was stronger than that one!

But now they are lighter, so I dont know.

Girls I will be watching this thread with interest - BD it was good to see your faint +ve today as I did a test and the jury is out on whether or not there was a line. I was definately having to twist and turn it and get the right light to see it!

Zoe, just wondering are you using FMU when testing?

Relle - It's so frustrating isn't it? And the thing is we could well end up being pg and in 3 weeks it will be us saying to others "oh a line is a line, dont stress it will get darker".

BD - well I have used FMU with one test but not the others. But weird thing, the one I used FMU was lighter than the afternoon urine test?

Well the first one I could see in any light but you had to like focus real hard and the next ones it's hard to see in any light, so I am lost and confused!

Zoe, when are you due for AF? have you been charting? If you are late for AF, you can always go and have a BT, that will pick up VERY small amounts of HCG, less than a HPT.

BD - My chart is under my name, and AF is due tomorrow.

OMG I so want to but if it's - or faint again it will kill me to wait so I am waiting until thurs or fri as AF is due tomorrow if it doesn't come and I get a faint line on fri I will be able to believe it a lot more.

So it is... silly me :doh: Your chart looks really good Zoe, do you normaly dip in temperature on the day of AF or 1 or 2 days either side? you temperature looks asthough it is still quite high.

I really think you should do a HPT tomorrow morning with your FMU, if you are still getting feint lines, then IMHO I think you could be UTD! :p

I have done tests with all different brands when I haven't been pg and there has been NO hint of a line, not even when I look at it under every sourse of light in my house! :cryinglaugh:

The fact that you have got more than 1 feint line, leads me to belive that they can't ALL be giving you false albeit feint BFP's.

Please let us know what happens in the morning, try your hardest not to go during the night so the concentrate of HCG will be high.

Thanks BD - This is my first chart so I dont know what my temp does before AF, this is so frustrating also cause every morning I think oh it's still up does that mean no AF today? But I cant really tell.

Yeah I hope your right, I hope I am seeing faint positives that ARE positive even if I just see it a little bit darker I will be happy to go to the doc for bt.

PMSL - Every source of light! I'd light candles if i thought it would increase the chance of seeing a +!!!

Well I tested again this moring like I said I WOULD NOT do and I think I'm seeing shadows.

I am definately seeing a line, I just think it's a shadow and not a real + line.

Ah well, come on AF lets get to the next cycle!

I tested again and I think I am either seeing shadows or the faintest of faint lines!!!!!

I am technically due for AF tomorrow going by the last 3 months, however I did have EWCM last friday, so if AF doesn't come tomorrow then I am hoping that it is because I ovulated on Friday, which is back to the 6 weekly cycles I used to have before having my children!

Nope, actually cramps are easing off so I officially have no idea!

Zoe and BD, was it easier to see your line if you held the test up with the light behind the test (ie sort of see through it) or with the light behind you?

I think it varies, sometimes its easier with the light behind it and sometimes with the light behind me.
I think maybe I'm going blind, from focussing so hard, if we dont stop we are gonna start seeing lines in our sleep!

Yep, espeicially with the Crystal Clear ones. Are you using the in stream ones? I found also that using the in stream ones as dip sticks got the best results, I found that really early, there wasn't enough HCG 'in stream' . so I would collect FMU and then dip the in stream bit in and swirl around a bit....:p

It says on the box that this is fine, and you should 'swirl' for 20 secs

BD - I have done them as dipping sticks as well, but yeah the midstream ones.

I have started temping in the last 2 days as well so that if AF arrives I will have a better idea of what my body does at the end of next cycle. I am just so sick of having cycles that are all over the place and are hard to track!

I actually tried to take a photo, but my camera is playing up! Maybe I should just accept that this is probably not my month as well!
