Evening Ladies,
Onto another thread already!! WOW...we are doing some chatting lately!! Good too see.
Tania - Miss big spender!! He He!! I miss those days, having your own money and being able to buy what you want. Thats the one thing i miss about work! I am spewin about those nappies. I brought nappies from Woolies and then brought the paper and seen the advert for Big W. I was going to ring around this arvo and find out who had them on special but never got round to it!!
Nat - I would move the fan only the powerpoint is on my side of the bed. Both of them!! My friend Michelle only has internet at work. She is registered with BB but both times she has posted no-one replies. I should tell her to join us here. I see what she says when i talk to her next. Glad Em has decided to self settle. Its good ain't it!!
Kim - Good luck with the solids tomorrow!! Hopefully it makes a difference!
Hope everyone else is doing fine.
Just got back from town. Did a bit of shopping, ran into some ppl and got dinner. We had pizza hut!! Mmmm Mmmm. We dont get too eat take out much anymore cause we live so far out of town. Good though cause we can't put on too much weight and we appreciate it more!!
Not much planned for weekend. Brent has too work so i am just going to clean and chill out. I think weekends should be my time off from the normal duties. So i might just lay on the lounge and watch austar and pray for rain to top it off!!
What has everyone else got planned??
-
Well I just got home from visiting my Irish friends across the road and after two glasses of red I feel off my face.... Hic! They must have been big glasses :)
The whole room seems to be spinning. Hic! It's funny really 'cause I used to be able to drink a bottle or two no problems. I haven't had a drink in 18 months before today. Hic!
I think the best thing for me is a big glass of water, a few padanol and bedsies. Hic!
Night girls. Hic!
Hope Katy sleeps well tonight..... or should I say this morning. Hic!
Hic!

Well I have had the best afternoon today....we all went chrissy shopping. I bought Phoebe her first cabbage patch kid (baby)....I know, I know she is a bit small for one yet, but I just couldn't resist. Her name is Lacy Jessica, she is just adorable. We bought both the kids clothes and Samuel got some bob the builder toys and (of course) some toy trucks. There is still a few things I would like to get for the two of them, but at least we have made a start. I just love shopping for Phoebe. AND Samuel too, but it's different shopping for a daughter...it's hard to explain. opps nearly forgot, bought Phoebe a little pink pair of shoes, they are like ballet slippers...with little flowers on them, (just tooooo cute).
Good Night.....chat tomorrow!!
-
Thought I’d do a quick post before I crash for the night.
Kim ~ Good luck with trying the new routine – I hope it helps. Good idea with solids in the morning as well – I did that with Emerson too. I also gave it to him after his bottle as he was a lot calmer then. I was thinking of other questions and stuff to ask you today and now I’ve gone and forgotten LOL. Oh one of them was – What is your bedtime routine? The rest are gone though :(
Tania ~ Good idea re anon amount – I’m pretty broke right now but I’ll contribute what I can! You have been saying for ages you’ll go swimming – can’t beat me we went 3 times in a week LOL! You are working as well though you busy thing! I wanted to get the Tigger jumper but we got the normal Jolly Jumper instead. I am going into Big W tomorrow now as well. It certainly will be interesting! :crossfingers: I don’t spend too much haha!
Sara ~ We are chatting heaps aren’t we? I should have worked out the powerpoint thing! Where has she posted before Sara? I will go and reply to her LOL – that is almost unheard of on BB. Very strange! Mmmmm pizza!! I had a quiche for dinner – it seems we are always telling each other what we had for dinner LOL. Weekend is definitely for time off! Enjoy laying on the lounge!
Leanne ~ OMG girl you crack me up!!! Hic! Sounds like you had a good night! I hope you don’t feel it tomorrow LOL.
Mummy ~ I loved Christmas shopping for Em – in fact I love Christmas shopping for everyone! My favourite part is having a budget and spending less then the budget LOL. I find when it comes to kids though I spend more!! I love buying the kids stuff!!
Speaking of shoes I am going to buy Emerson some soft soled leather ones soon. At least he can crawl around in them and they won’t hinder him. Tomorrow I am going to Big W then to my mums so she can watch Emerson so I can study for the STAT (which is next weekend ) then Sunday I am working and the whole weekend will be gone! Okay its 12.03 which means it 3 minutes past my bedtime LOL so I must go. I swear I was almost up to 3,500 posts…. Darn clean outs!!!
-
Karen: I love christmas shopping too....LOL I like any type of shopping as long as I'm buying things haha. I have most of Jayden's things on layby otherwise he would be playing with them now...We got a Learning Puppy from Kmart which was meant to be a christmas pressie but it was too cute I wanted to play with it now haha Oh and Jayden loves it too!
Leanne: LOL...Sounds like a good night!! Hope you wake up ok in the morning...The one thing I don't miss about drinking is the morning after!!
Nat: Jayden has little soft sole shoes he has worn them a couple of times but they don't match with a lot of his clothes that he wears now haha. He has a pair of New Balance runners that I have to get him into before he grows out of them LOL.....YAY I'm a kidlet now!!
It is WAY past my bed time....Jayden will be waking soon so best I go now LOL. Email me any suggestions for Lachie's gift, I'm picking up my niece from work tomorrow and going shopping so I will have a look then. Alright def going now...Have a good night
oxoxox
-
Nat ~ The shoes I brought for Phoebe today, (opps, yesterday now) are her very first pair so once she has out grown them, then they will be put away in her keepsake box. I have Samuel's, actually I was going through his keepsake box looking at all of my favourite little things that he use to wear and it makes me sad, as he is growing up so fast. Although everything in the box is full of so many memories and then I'm happy again. Big W are having a sale tomorrow (today) hope you get some good bargains. STAT test next weekend...gee that came around quickly. I'm sure you will do great. How long do you have to wait for the results. Well it's past my bedtime and I should probably give little miss a bottle before heading off to the land of nod.
Good Night (Good Morning)...
-
SNAP Tania, we posted at exactly the same time....LOL Yes shopping is great, especially when you are buying. I'm really glad that the things I had in mind for the kids, we were able to get. I hate it when you go shopping for something in particular and you can't find it or they don't have it.
Nighty, Night.
-
Isn't that funny, I used to be one of the world's greatest shoppers, but I've gone right off it. Guess cos I'm so worried we won't have enough money. I've got a few pressies and most of Darcy's but not as many as I'd like. I've got one of those puppies too Tania. Lucky she's so little cos half her pressies are just in the bottom of her wardrobe LOL.
What do you guys get your Dad's. Mine has everything and if he wants something he just gets it....I have no idea. Him and Cam's Dad....
Better night again last night, but up since about 3.40am. She took the rice cereal really well this morning. Gonna see if Cam will fork out for a high chair tomorrow though cos it's too hard (and messy) on the lounge.
Mum's having a big cleanout today so I'm going to see if there's any stuff I really don't want chucked out. Oops she awake....
-
Morning Ladies...
Kim ~ I understand exactly when it comes to worrying about having enough money....I definately don't shop like I use to, but everybody needs a bit of retail therapy every once and a while, just to feel human. Good to hear that last night was better, but bummer at being up soooo early. Phoebe is in a high chair, much easier to feed her. I also use it when I am in the kitchen cooking dinner, I just pop her in there with a few toys and she's happy and I can watch her. My Dad sounds a bit like yours, has everything and just buys what he wants when he wants it. And when I do ask him what he wants, he just says 'save your money......I just want peace and quiet'. (LOL) So every year I just buy him a large jar of chocolate coated almonds. I don't know if he will get too much peace and quiet this year though....now with both Samuel and Phoebe, the pair of them make plenty of noise.
BBL
-
Kim - we paid only $155 for our highchair at Baby Kingdom and they were in Babies Galore and other baby shops for double the price. Was a couple of weeks ago, but they're usually pretty good with their sales.
Just a thought.
Have you tried some stewed pears or apple with the rice cereal? Katy loves it.
Hope you have a good day.
I am a little hung over this morning - FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE - and can I just say it's not nice.... My eyes feel like they have been stretched.
Off to do some more sewing.... Only 3 out of 10 made so better hop to it.
-
Morning Ladies,
I musta fallen off the email notification cause damn you girls have chatted up a storm since i was on last.
Just poppin my head in quickly. Briley wants a bottle and bath. Had a sh*t nights sleep lastnight. My mind would'nt stop thinking and everytime i woke up i was singing in my head!! Oz Idol here i come!!! LOL
BBL to do personal!!
-
Some sad news.....
Belinda Emmert passed away today. Rove's wife... Brought a tear to my eyes and made me shiver. Poor Rove. She was only a year older than me.
Mr DH had thyroid cancer and we went through it tough for about four years, but I can't begin to imagine what they would have gone through.
Makes you more greatful for every day when things like this happen.
BBL.
-
Yes i just heard the last of it on the news on the radio and thought no way. So i went and had a quick look on the headlines of Sky News and sure enough there it was. Sent shivers right through my body too.
My mum was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2003. She was 36. Luckily they were able to get it all but she had to have 3 parts of her bowel removed. This shocked the whole family severly. Especially mum herself. She has too continue seeing the surgeon every 3 months too make sure it does'nt come back. My siblings and i are also at risk of getting it and when we reach a certain age we have to be tested every year.
A very sad time. It does make you grateful.
-
I went to log on to BB earlier and MSN news came up and I saw the sad news about Belinda Emmett.....Chris had a mate here and I go OMG!!! Poor guy thought there was something wrong with Jayden!!
Shiver went down my spine too!
-
So sad, and they finally tied the knot too.
Well Darc is fighting the zzzs tonight. This routine is poo! I have always fed her during the day and then put her to bed. She generally sleeps for 1-1 1/2 hours then. The new routine is feed her on waking and then let her stay up for a couple of hours and THEN put her to bed when I see tired signs. Well that means about an hour before a feed is usually due and so cos she's hungry she wakes after half an hour! The nurse said just leave her in her bed, she might settle....she's hungry! Cos she hasn't had many sleeps she fell asleep in the car half an hour before bed, and now she won't go to sleep  She also told me she should be going longer than 2.5-3hrs between feeds....why? She's hungry then so I feed her. Now this is a woman I respect, but it just can't work for everyone. I need some sort of routine. The OCD just won't let me 'go with the flow'. I will give it 2 more days..... What was wrong with the way i was doing it? Anyone?
Now Nat and Sara it's a real shame I don't live closer to either of you because I have a heap of nursing textbooks that are worth hunderds of dollars that I have no use for at mums. They're old, but for nothing they're a good starting point or reference. Unfortunatley they weigh about a hundred ton or I would post them to you - because I have faith in both of you....Nat you studying???
Lots of memories in a storeroom full of stuff. Salvaged a few dresses of my sisters for the weddings I have next year, and my pink year 5 farwell dress that I might make something for Darcy with. I also found the bible stories my grandma gave to me on my baptism, and so I'm going to give it to Darcy for hers. Oh and a heap of my favourite books that one day I might actually get the chance to read again.
Well there's no dinner (again) and Cam's been in a brawl and is going to be late (again)....better go and pull something together.
Hey I was thinking about Sheree and Wade. Were we getting something for Lachie ro them? cos if it was for them how bout a voucher to a local restaurant that they can use when they get a break?
-
Will respond with personals soon but OMG Emerson is crawling properly now . Saw him getting up on his knees more then usual earlier today then a friend came over with her new puppy and up he got and crawled over!!!! Of course we made him do it again and again LOL. As soon as he reached the puppy we'd take it away again. He still swaps between normal and commando but it was so awesome and so cute to watch! He has also started climbing up on things lately as well if I haven't mentioned that before! Almost time for child proofing LOL!
-
lol i have been reading up i think i'm going back to study too don't really know what i want to do
Kim ~ if your routine worked for you and darcy then stick with what you know and i like that idea of a voucher to a restraunt for sheree and wade and maybe a guardian angel Pin for eg for lachie as a gesture that we are all thinking of him i dunno i suck at gifts ...
OMG @ Em crawling .... little rascal will be into everything soon ryan has been up on his hands and knees all day today rocking back and forth the getting snippy when he couldn't get any where
and how tragic i was very sad to hear of Belinda's passing ... poor Rove i hope the media leave him alone to grieve
Oh and has anyone seen the movie RV with robin williams OMG some really funny moments
-
any body heard how shannon and Angelique are going ??
and Alison and Jess and Rachy And Jemima And kellee And Vic Too where are you all ....
-
Shazz - Im here! I have been keeping an eye on you all but have just been so busy that i havent had a chance to pop in and say hi.
Nat - I cant believe em is crawling. That is amazing - what a little trooper! Things ewill certainly get busier. It is so exciting to see them reach these new and amazing milestones.
Kim - I think if your routine worked best for you and Darcy then stick with it. You know Darcy better than anyone. At times is it so confusing with everyone offering advice. I know when Jesse went through his very very very very unsettled, refluxy period I was beside myself with trying to decipher all of the info that people were giving me. In the end I stuck to my guns and we came out of it smiling. (well we are smiling most of the time - some days are still very tough!!) Just another question for you - you said in your post Cam has been in a brawl and is going to be late??? What does he do???
DH and I have started to come to terms with the fact we are now going to have three children instead of the two we had planned on having. I am excited now!!
Well I had best go and jump into bed. DH goes away again (he is always away for work) tomorrow so I need to get as much sleep as I can as the week ahead will be just me and the kids.
-
Hi Jemima
glad you are feeling excited about # 3 i have started to have those fluttery clucky feeling again but i know if i ever mentioned having #4 divorce papers would be flung under my nose as quick as blinking
hope you get some much needed sleep in tonight before hubby goes away hope his not gone to long i remember that dog tired feeling of early pg
-
Evening ladies,
Just got home form sister bbq dinner down on the beach. It was nice. Now i am soooo tired its not funny. Can barely keep my eyes open. So its going to be quick personals tonight!
Lea - WOW @ Em crawling. He's a clever little man aint he!! You are going to need eyes in the back of your head soon!!
Kim - Sorry to hear the new routine went to sh*t!! I hope you find a solution soon. Spewin you did'nt live closer. Those books would come in handy big time!! My mum is studying nursing to at the moment and she has lots of books so will just use her's when i need them. Thanks for thinking of us though!!
Shazz - Nup have'nt seen RV. I think i might have heard of it though. I can't belive Ryan is nearly 7 months already!! Oh and I talk to Alison all the time on MSN. Cooper is going very well!!! She has'nt been on this week cause they are moving house but normally i talk to her every night. She is going well.
Jemima - Glad you and DH have aceepted the pg. Brent and I are TTC now. I am scared but excited at the same time. I am excited for you guys!! Hope all goes well for you!! Keep us posted!
Hope everyone else is going ok. Will talk to you all in the morning. My eyes are hanging out of my head!!
Ni Night
-
Wow Em, WTG! Nat I'm excited for you, but praying Darcy stays immobile for a while yet LOL!
Shazz, is Ryan improving?? Nope haven't seen it, but would like to, however Cam won't sign up for a video shop because they are mostly owned by bikies and they ask for too many personal details....we just can't afford that.
Jemima, I'm glad you are happy. DH and I both work for NSW police (don't think I'm awful please!). Stuff like that is usual for us LOL.
Sara, that's neat your mum's studying too. You girls have inspired me as well. Pulled out my old education textbooks so might see what I can do along those lines....don't know whether I could cope with a Masters just yet.
Hey you girls that live closish toBrisbane....was there a story on the news last night about a man floating in the Brissy River? My mates dad was found and I can't find out any more.
Is yoghurt an OK first food? I've given Darc a few tastes of mine but she loves it so much and chucks a hissy fit when I won't share, so I have to eat it when she's not there. She thinks she's entitled to a taste of everything LOL. Also, is it ok to give her a try of more than one food a week?...I sound like an incompetent don't I?
-
[QUOTE=~Kim~;506223]
Jemima, I'm glad you are happy. DH and I both work for NSW police (don't think I'm awful please!). Stuff like that is usual for us LOL.
Hi Kim,
I thought you might say police officer. I was one for 8 years so I know what you mean about stuff like that being a part of every day life LOL!
Have a good day everyone. Its raining here and while that is great, it makes it hard to keep two children entertained. Might have to go visiting!
Jem
-
Morning Girls,
Kim - Yeah yoghurt is fine i have read. You should try some mashed banana and avocado too. That is only really light. I have noticed that Nat and I have inspired a few ppl, its really good. So if you do your masters what does that make you??
More cleaning on the agenda today!! Only this time it's outside and not in. Although in needs to be done AGAIN a bit!!
Hope everyone is well.
BBL
-
Kim ~ yep you can try her on more foods she hasn't had any problems so far has she ? i have been giving Ryan yougurts designed for little bellys Vialla (Sp) or petite yum ?? they are suitable for bubs from 6 months

and yep ryan is improving he is cross cutting his teeth the little beggar he has his two bottom front ones then his two top side ones his gum is so red and swollen no wonder his cranky and OMG he bit me so hard last night he drew blood:eek: i don't know how much longer will be going down the BF road if he keeps this up
-
Cool Jemima! What's it like in the cops in SA....we're looking for a change....
Sara, It'd make me someone with a Masters Degree, nothing more, not like a PhD which makes you a Dr. Man you must have messy people in your house....you are always cleaning! LOL.
Well I have the Kylie concert tonight! Still can't get excited though....
-
Kim it's prolly not messy i just have high standards when it comes to cleaning. I like it the way i like it!!
HAVE A GREAT TIME @ KYLIE!!! Let us know how it goes!!
-
Thanks Chickie! You'll make a great sister!
-

Got to read a book by candle light though :D Have to work today so I probably won't be able to get on till later tonight unless of course I can get ready like a whizz and come back just before I leave LOL!!!

Is it too late to join May babies? Riley was born 17 days early on 20th May. He is my 3rd child, he has 2 big sisters who he loves and finds very interesting to watch.
I live in Sydney with DH and the kids. Am on maternity leave atm but usually I am a primary school teacher. Not sure what else to say lol.

Karen: The Learning Puppy we got had been on raincheck in Melbourne for at least 2 mths..We couldn’t get it at all in QLD so I got my mum to get it, its so frustrating when they have a sale and what you want isn’t there. Kmart had a VTech learning system thing that I wanted for $40 (reduced from $78) they had none in stock until the day after the sale finished!!
Kim: Do what routine suits you not someone else…The nurse doesn’t know Darcy like you do…..I really hope she settles down very soon for you, is Cam getting up to her during the night and giving you a break? Restaurant voucher sounds good but I’m not sure that there are too many places in Gin Gin that they could go, I’m not sure how they would feel about leaving Lachie with someone if they came into Bundy for dinner. We’ll see how much we gather up anyway and go from there….I lost Wade’s number otherwise I could have called him to see if the restaurant idea was ok….I want to leave it for a surprise for Sheree. I think the only reason they suggest 1 food type a week is in case of allergies….if Darcy seems to be ok then I wouldn’t worry. Have fun at Kylie tonight, you will be fine once you get there.
Nat: OMG Em’s crawling!!! What formula have you got that boy on?? LOL Cleaver boy!! Jayden has learnt commando crawl in the bath only hehehe
Shazz: I hope the media respects Rove’s and their families privacy too…..I wondered if Rove Live would be on this week…..I think either not at all or Peter Hellier might host it instead. Guardian angel pin is a great idea!! I haven’t seen RV either. You’re a brave woman to persist with the BF’ing now that Ryan has teeth LOL
Jemima: That is fantastic news that you and DH are excited about bub#3!! Are you going to find out what your having or a surprise? We found out with Jayden but I want bub #2 to be a surprise…Chris wants to find out again though! Good luck with entertaining the kids today!
MrsMac: Welcome to BB and May babies.....We love having new ppl here. Riley is a gorgeous name....It was on our list! I look forward to getting to know you!!
I have heard from Sheree today, she said they have had no answers yet and Lachie is starting getting worse, so it looks like they will be in hospital for a while. If anyone wants to send their own card, email me for my address and I will pass it on when I give them the present. Otherwise I will get a card and sign on behalf of all of us…..I wonder how long it would take to send a card around to each of you to personally sign it?? I think that would be great but may take some time???
Well I better get in the shower seen as its 1pm…..Kim I’m having one of your days LOL Jayden is still in his Pj’s and so am I. I know I keep saying it but we might go swimming this arve….Its so hot here today!!
Have a great day girls oxoxox

Hi girls, busy busy busy today. Mark's back's still sore seems to be getting worse so I am doing mostly everything at the moment. So tiring.
Ladies, I just had an idea for Sheree and Wade and Lachy. Instead of a big card maybe if we all sent you a pic of ourselves with our bubs and encouraging words etc on a piece of card - we could then make up a scrapbook page or two.
Just a thought. .... Let me know what you think.
Also cooking Katys meals for the next month or so to freeze. Can she have apricots? Or will it give her the runs?
Welcome to May bubs MrsMac.... You'll love it here.
No time for personals atm but will try to get back later.... My house looks like a bomb so it's cleaning for me.
Might pour myself a glass of wine! LOL..... HIC!
Oh and Kim Enjoy Kylie tonight.... You'll love it
CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES C'MON!!!!!
