LOl time seems to stop for the last 4-6 weeks i reckon!!
You have done well so far... the end is nearly in sight!!
oh I so wish time just seemed to fly by, does with everything else around here!
LOL It's the opposite for me right now, I feel like it's going by far too quickly! I want more time so I can enjoy being PG with this gorgeous little boy :D Hmm, I wonder if there is speed up and slow down dust that we can exchange LOL.
I know what you mean Soul... I feel like this week in particular is taking sooooo long to end!!!
I am counting down the days... up until this week, it all seemed to go so fast, now, it is like my pregnancy is in slo-mo!!
I find that time is going by soooo slowly, but its going past too quickly to get anything done. I suppose that might happen when you get out of bed at 10 or 11am though.
It doesnt help with everyone at my work telling me that I have had the longest pregnancy ever! LOL
I have found the best way to make time go a bit quicker is look to short term things. Like I have been looking forward to finishing work (tomorrow YAY!) and the baby shower (tomorrow night woohoo!) and then the next scan or appointment, that sort of thing. Plus I have marked what week I am each Monday on my calander and that seems to help too.
Then there is my mantra... not long now...not long now...not long now :)
LOL I am chanting that mantra as well.
I am really starting to get nervous and think is a vbac really what I want. Oh I am so sick of worrying about it, I just won't this all over with.
Is anyone havng alot of pressure in the bottom area? I am so fed up.
Totally agree, time has just slowed right down! it's like there's more like 48hours in a day instead of 24! and the more i think about it the slower it goes!
Netty - I've been short termin things too... my list is - I'm picking up my Carseat tonight (if anyone hasn't notice in brissy Kmart has a great baby sale on!!!) Going in there to spend up big! :)
Got my baby shower on Sunday Arvo... Decided to stop worry about the day and just go with the flow :)
my mantra "hurry up hurry up hurry up" lolZ
I find it chops and changes with me,,,,
There are days that I am in so much pain walking etc, and with the holidays, the kids are just grinding on my nerves yelling and running about, that time seems to stop still, and drag on,,,,. Yet there are also days when I set a few certian things i really want to get ready or done,, and by the end of the day, I realise only half of them have been done,, and I wonder where the time goes. Especially when I need to keep stopping and resting from being short of breath all the time. The occasional nanny nap in the middle of the day helps move your day along alot quicker though girls lol, so enjoy those while we still can :)
I feel like time is flying - I can't believe today is Thursday until someone asks how long I have left to go - 7 L>>>O>>>N>>>G weeks. I think once I get to 36wks and my mum is here and DS is at school that's when time is really going to slow down.
I have been trying to fill the days up with things to look forward too as well - baby shopping today at Target - woohoo. Tomorrow DH day off (hooray sleep in for me) Monday - midwife appointment Thursday assignments due in - eek. Better go finish them
hiya soul
i have finished up at work so no more daily internet use for me, now its more like once a week, so i guess each time i visit this site i feel a little further along.... but i totally know what you mean... physically i do not see how it is possible for me to get any bigger, i look like i could go into labour any minute, i guess its because im short at only 5"2, i carry all in the front... when people ask me when i am due they nearly fall over when i say it could be another 6 - 10 weeks....
i know i should be relishing my last moments to myself before the baby comes along, but it is hard not to get impatient, especially as my tummy feels so tight and stretched and i feel like there is a soccer game going on inside me... i start antenatal classes soon so that is something to look forward to, oh and my 32 week scan on thurs to see position of placenta....
one thing for sure is, life is certainly a hell of a lot more bearable now that i am at home instead of at work... really makes a difference...
take care, hey next time i am on this site we will probably be 33 weeks!! hehe
Emma1979 I am abut the same height as you! And omg am I big this time, but my tummy is hard as a rock and massive!
Damn I will miss oyu do you not have internet acsess at home sweetie, culd you use a library/
hehe, no internet at home at the moment, but am in the library now... i will probably check emails etc about once or twice a week...
my belly is tight and hard as a rock too... i just had my 32 week scan and found out i have a big baby, bigger than average anyways... my partner was over 10 pounds when he was born so i am crossing my fingers things even out a bit over the next few weeks and he or she slows down in size!! otherwise OUCH!
oh and the baby has lots of hair too!
Emma1979 omg thats wonderful, better than a tiny tiny baby, well not better but thats wonderful and a full head of hair omg this kid will be gorgous! I can't wait to see the little munchkin!I am dying to know how much this one will be, I feel he is big but I bet he comes out around 7-8 pounds! Do you feel heavy when you are walking !
I have days were i feel like its taking forever, and days were i wonder where the time has gone & how there arent too many left!
I have loved spending time with my DD since leaving work & with school hols but i am also looking forward to her going back to school so i can have a few weeks of
"me time" before bubs comes. Although, today, it really cant go quick enough, sitting here at the comp, bubs is kicking ***** out of me & i feel like im im always in a sauna - even when its not hot outside !!??
So far the time has flown for me, there are times I wish it would go quicker and this baby would be here already but not long now.
I feel heavy, slow, tired, big, sore, etc, etc but having the boys to run around after, time seems to move a lot quicker.
As this is my last pregnancy I sometimes feel I would like it to slow down so I can just enjoy it a bit longer but then on the other hand I am starting to be over it.lol can't win.
Michelle
At the moment I am not finding that the time is going really slowly, but I am sure it will all slow down when I finish work and dont have much to do. I am looking forward to finishing work so I can have a couple weeks if me time before bub comes along, but I still have 3 weeks to go.
the time certainly slows down if you have nothing to do. i find that once you stop counting down the days, it seems to go somewhat faster. its such an exciting time its no wonder we are just waiting the outcome. hang in there soul - not long now!!!! starting knitting lol
I find my work days are dragging, but when I'm at home the time flies. I looked at myself yesterday and suddenly realised I put on weight. Like, when did that happen! I'm afraid now to weigh myself - I'd only put on about 3kg until about a month ago, now I think I'm up to 8kg!
It flew past till I got to third trimester damn it! Some days go quick some go slow!
I have like 3 1/2 weeks left & i swear from about 35 weeks i feel as tho time has almost stopped!
since i finished work i think it has really slowed down for me... it is so frustrating because there are so many things i want to do around the house that i am not allowed to ie paint fumes and stuff like that... i scrubbed the bath the other day and then had about an hour of pains, i thought it may have been labour, but it went away. it is hard being home and not being able to actually do anything, i have all this free time and lots of odd jobs i want to do but really cant do them. even vacumming gives me pains because the dam thing is so heavy.
anyways, 33 weeks today, so not toooo long to go. have started the antenatal classes which are good, and i guess that makes my weeks go a bit quicker.
i have put on 10kg. EEEEEEEEEK. Feeling very heavy and feel like i really waddle now, especially around the house.
I'm coming up to 30 weeks and yes, I think this trimester is going to go reeeeeeaaaaallllly slllloooooowwwwwwwly :p
I think the only thing I'll be greatful for when my bubs is born is that I won't feel like human punching bag anymore :cryinglaugh:
Hehehehe it is going terribly slow for me, i have at the most 2.5 weeks left and I want to see my baby! Dont want to be kicked anymore and i want to sleep on my belly!
I have 7 days left until my edd and feel as though everything is dragging out.
Trying to keep busy but there is only so many times you can clean something.
I have found since I finished work 2 weeks ago it has felt like forever.
Fingers crossed its not too long now.
I So Hear Ya All!
its draaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaging...
i have been told i have a big baby, 90% of babies smaller than mine and only 10% bigger, of course the ultrasound could be wrong..... does this mean i am in any way more likely to go earlier than due date if the baby is big? please say yes???? i cannot bare waiting another 6 weeks, however another three weeks seems like perfect timing. god i am impatient.
as soon as i hit 37/38 weeks i am trying the old wives tales for induction.
ps a girl i know just gave birth to an 11 pounder.... not sure on details yet, but OH MY GOD.
OMG EMMA! Nope it doesn't mean you will go early! Sad but true! I had a 9 and a half pounder and she was over due!
6 weeks isn't long now, really it isn't, I try to tell myself that anyways, omg you should here me complaining now. At 34 weeks the averge baby will weigh about 5 and a half pounds. I think that is heavy to0 carry aorund already, wait another few weeks and if your bubs is already big for his gestation, then wholy crap may god bles you!
also every time the doctor measures me, i am always at least a week or two more ahead than what i actually am (and i know my dates are SPOT ON)... for example at 33 weeks i was measuring 35 weeks... does this mean i may go earlier... please say yes please say yes please say there is a CHANCE i may go earlier...?
Well sound slike your babe is a biggy! It really does!OK you "COULD" go early! lmao!! I mean it's possible and wouldn't surprise me actually!
I still got to fight them on my dates yet this thursday as the stupid ultrasound lady incorrectly said on the report from my last ultrasound that baby is due 12th April! But when she was doing the ultrasound she said her dates were 28th March, myn are 26th and I have had enogh babies to know my dates by now. Not to mention we only had sex once that whole month more or less!
LOL im sure your bubba will choose his own day, like mine will. By hosp dates i will have 1w3d to go. My dates and drs dates (i did shared care) i have 6d.
But with Jetts dates, he will come out when he is ready, which could mean today! Fingers crossed. Got all the signs, well not really no contrax yet or waters breaking, but i do have period pain and backache...... heres to hoping!
Sorry to say Emma,, but the fundal height is really innacurate for measi\uring how big your bubba will be.
I have since about 18 weeks, been measuring at least 5cm ahead each visit. At 34 weeks, i was already 39cm!!!!!!
I also was shown at an ultrasound that bubba is in the 90th percentile on the charts at 26 weeks,,,.
I however have to have a caesar as it is my 4th one,,, but have been told that if it wernt for the fact i need a repeat one,, that i would have been let go to 40 weeks at least before they would have considered induction etc.
Fingers crossed things go smoothly for you hun,, just take each day as it comes,, and remember,, it isnt really that long to go (i know,, it seems like an eternity,, but once you get there,, it will all seem like a memory )
I'm finding that I'm starting to feel "fat" now. Not pregnant, just "fat". And then the baby moves and I remember its not just "fat" :)
3 weeks, 2 days until I finish work!
Well girls wish me luck tomorrow as I have my antenatal appointment at 9.20am and this will be the day I tell them I wanta c-section, oh and argue my edd with them! DH is taking the day off to come with me, so we'll see what happens!
If they get their head out of there bottoms they will see my edd is right on and I will get my c-section in five weeks time!
All the best Soul
Hoping that they listen to you and do their best to arrange things the way you need :)
Na'w thank you gorgous!
How r u feeling yourself, I mean you are the one really close to your due date, I am just the whiner! LMAO!
hey there lil aussie... i will be interested to see how big your bubba is since we have both been told the 90% percentile thing.... today at 35 weeks the doc GUESSED the baby would be already 7 and a half pounds, but it really was a guess.... my god it alarmed me a bit.... i am only about 5 foot 2 and he was telling me sometimes that is an indication of a smaller pelvis than say a taller person, but that i shouldn't worry and we would just see what happens on the day.... i guess i may now start reading about c-sections 'just in case'.... you have had a few - are they awful to recover from?
and yeah, he said no inducing until 10 days after the due date.... i guess i just need to relax and enjoy my spare time, its so hard though!!
