hooray for yasin full on crawling dachlostar - watch out world here he comes lol. lani is still slugging around, she actually goes quite quick and explores the whole house - she has been up on all fours but drops down to her tummy to crawl as it is quicker for her. and watch out shoes she has a real fasination with shoelaces lol.

btw dachlostar - is that a new ticker you have for yasin - very cute.

Yay to a new month and it is our last day in here, 9 mths tomorrow and I am sobbing away here, just can't quite believe it has come up already.

Yasin is really flying Dasch, well done to him.

Michelle- funny how it doesn't matter how they crawl they still get into the same amount of trouble.

I too used patches to quit but didn't actually do the whole course, just for 2 weeks.

Dimmy's opened in the town next to mine today so I went spent $45 and got 2 tops for me, a jumper for Jemma, a top for Jordan and a pair of undies for her and also a pair of undies for Josh (MAgpies- he was rapt). Pretty good bargains, but I am pretty poor atm. Had to get the seal-a-fridge guy in to fix the fridge so I have to check the account bf he cashes it so it doesn't bounce.

Goodbye everyone I will see you all soon enough in the next thread- sadly- they are all planning 1st bdays atm and I am a little stressed about all of that LOL

Hello girls,

We had a great christening. The weather was fabulous (35 deg, flaming hot actually!) and Wolf was one of three to be christened and was the only one who didn't cry \:D/ he he
We had a really nice time with my brother and his family and DH's best friend & his girlfriend and of course my parents (Dh's family couldn't be there because they are of course in Sydney). Unfortunately the whole weekend was overshadowed by my SIL burning her foot when she dropped boiling water from a kettle on her foot. She had to go to hospital and had to be treated for 2nd deg burns. :( Poor girl, she was quite out of it for 2 days, shaking and twitching, it was really upsetting to see. She's much better now, but a 2nd deg burn all over the foot is no piece of cake of course.

Gawd, Jessica's choking incident sounds scary!! I'm quite 'relaxed' about stuff lying on the floor... I think I have to be a bit more careful...

Daschlostar, very diplomatic to let ILs have it their way now and then later you can do it your/Yasin's way :D and yay on Yasin's second tooth! Wolf is still entirely toothless. And another yay on Yasin crawling properly!! That must be sooooooo cool to watch. Wolf does the rocking on all fours ... I wonder how long it takes from there to crawling. He commando crawls quite quickly now but I think he still lacks the arm strenght to support himself just on one arm and move the other one. He can sit up on his own as well and will catch his fall with his hands (unless going backwards in which case he falls like a tree #-o )

Wolf is also talking heaps. It used to be just ma-ma-ma-ma-ma but now it's ba-ba-ba and da-da-da and ti-ti-ti.... and currently he is crying.. better go and pick up my grumpy little man, who is due for a nap now. Babyswimming later today with diving!! Should be fun!

Michelle 9 months already! Boo Hoo! I guess it won't be long now for Mooshie and me.

Alana got weighed yesterday. Well I will first say that I did a Woo Hoo dance in the room! She now weighs 8120g!!!! I felt so good. She put on close to 1300g in two months. Her paed is going to be thrilled. The only thing the health nurse said was about her was not starting to crawl. So now I am paranoid. I hope she is not behind. She thinks I should speak to Alana's physiotherapist. I have an app with her paed and dietician on Monday so I'll speak to them about it and maybe see her physio. Seems abit drastic to speak to a physio, don't you think?

Dach - yay for Yasin crawling! Grace still gets around by commando crawling, she is getting quite fast at it. I don't know if she will even try to go on all fours. She gets so dirty crawling like that!

Lara - Woo hoo for Alana putting on weight! That's great. I hope there is no problem re the crawling. She is only 8 months old, that seems a bit early to me to be worried about it but then I am definitely not an expert.

Welcome Lily we almost called Grace that but when she was born she just didn't look like a Lily. Hows your bubba going?

Michelle see you in the 9-12 month forum in a couple of months! That will be scary when we get there - my baby girl will be nearly a year old!

Snowy - glad Wolf's christening went well and such warm weather! I miss summer already and compared to the southern states it is not even that cold here in queensland.

I saw the J&J comp in Coles Baby mag too. I don't know whether I will enter Grace yet, or Harry for that matter since the cut off age is 3. Of course I know they would get shortlisted because they are so cute :D. Will think about it.

Anyone collecting Heinz baby food labels for their toy promotion? I have started but I don't think I will get enough to get anything - you need so many! But there's no harm in keeping the labels when I buy heinz baby food. Someone is selling the labels on ebay - it's already been bid up to $17 and there are 5 days to go!

bye bye michelle see you in 13 days boo hoo, i hate they have to grow up so quickly.

snowgirl - christening sounds like it was really nice, we have never had our children christened (personal reasons - i won't even go there, i am very angry when it comes to the big man upstairs iykwim) anyway that is terrible your sister or was it sil got the bad burns hope she is doing okay.

lara - i wouldn't be too concerned about alana not crawling yet, i think a majority of bubs only start at around 8mths. and a BIG WOO HOO on that weight of alana's she has gone passed little miss lani, which doesn't surprise me that way my girls eats is shocking she is going to be soooooo fussy lol.

bonw - yup i am collecting the heinz labels but i don't think i will have near enough as lani has only the custard occassionaly oh well i will keep collecting.

little miss lani is now cranky miss lani lol i put her down at 1.30pm for her nap and she woke at 2.30pm (which is unusual she usually has 2 - 3hrs in arvo) she was happy etc but now is cranky and wants to go to bed but i have to pick up jay in 20 mins arhh always the way. her top 2 teeth are almost through so am convinced that is upsetting her, i can just feel the points poking through.

well i better go and put dinner in the fridge, thankfully i cooked it now so i just need to reheat later as i have a feeling little miss won't be letting me do anything later lol.

Couldn't help but come here and feel sad, but I was so excited to hear about Alana's weight gain Lara, that's terrific. I think that jessica is about 8kgs too and she is 9 mths today *sob sob*,

Anyway better go and meet my new friends Only joking,! I won't be able to stop myself butting in here though LOL.

Lily, welcome to the group, I hope to see more of you. There is another girl from Newcastle with a daughter called Lily on bellybelly but she doesn't reach 6 months for another couple of weeks.

Snowy, your post must have worked evn though you couldn't see it. I'm glad the christening went well (except for SIL's burns - owwie) good on Wolf for not sooking =D> . Yasin never seems to say ma ma ma ma, he's got da da down and ti ti ti and this morning he said ho (I hope he wasn't taking to me!!!). I feel a bit discriminated against.

Melbee, I'm glad you're enjoying your R&R. I saw the J&J competition in the coles magazine like the other girls. There is a website but its not up yet.

Lara, I think the health nurse is being a bit silly. Lots of babies don't crawl until long after 8 months. My friend's baby started crawling at 10 months and walking (while her hand was held) two weeks later. Some babies skip it totally. I hope that the pead sets your mind at ease about it. Woohoo on the weight gain.

Bon, I'm not collecting the Hienz labels. You need about a million and I don't often use bottles. I think if I did I would be collecting them. I think you should enter both your bubs in the J&J competion, they're both so cute.

Michelle, Are you still enjoying your new phone? I take so many photos of Yasin on mine. I have more phone photos than real ones (the one on my ticker is a phone photo). I email them all from the phone to myself but my computer can't open the video files so if I lose my phone I'll lose all my videos of Yasin. My camera phone is with 3 which is really expensive for normal phone calls so I only use it for sending photos about and I've got a vodaphone sim in my other phone which works out to be much cheaper. Yasin is obsessed with phones. He gets so excited when he sees one and tries to grab them out of people's hands. I found him an old one of mine but he's a phone snob and he's not interested in it. #-o

I got Yasin weighed and measured in the chemist yesterday. He's 8kg and 70cm which makes him long and skinny according to the charts. I didn't need to get him measured to know that #-o . I don't think I'll bother seeing the ECHN this month he seems to be going fine to me so I'm cutting back to visiting every second month unless something pops up that I want advice about.
I have much less crockery since I was here last. I asked DH to do the washing up and he came out with some half-witted excuse about needing to sort the numbers on his phone. He always has stupid excuses to avoid housework and I'd had a really annoying day so I threw a stupid tanty and chucked all the dirty plates in the bin 8-[ #-o :oops: . It must have scared him because when I got out of bed this morning the lounge room was spotless :) .

well miss cranky pants has real attitude lol. my poor ds came home from kinder yesterday with the start of a bad cold/flu whatever and was laying down in front of the heater and lani was crawling over and eye gauging him (naughty bubba) everytime i said no she laughed and went right back and did it. she also started going up on all fours and also started kneeling up WTF is going on - all this in one afternoon - no wonder she didn't want to sleep there were to many tricks to try out lol.

and today she said MUM yay i got mum before dad, well deserved i reckon, best thing was she said it whilst i was with girlfriends so they all heard it and confirmed yes that is really what she said.

dacholstar - i love my phone, i still haven't found out how much to send myself pictures i am guessing will be expensive, have also figured out how to use the video bit on the phone so yesterday i got some really good footage of little miss going up on all fours and kneeling up, so i could show dh when he got home.

anyway mister jay awaits his mummy's attention for cuddles on the couch.

dachlostar - forgot to mention in my last post re your plates lol, brought back memories from long ago, i was probably around 12yrs old and i remember mum complaining one night how no one ever helps her doing the dishes, my brother and i always fought about whose turn it was and i guess she just did them herself to keep the peace and dad would just sit there reading the paper or whatever, anyway this particular night my dad said without looking up from his paper in a joking way well through them out in the backyard and hose them down lol. so mum just picked all her plates up and threw them out the back door - a whole dinnerset smashed to pieces was sooooooooo funny, dad ended up going out to buy her a really nice new dinner set and guess what he did the dishes every night after that and still does now that was well over 20 yrs ago. i will never forget it and it always gets brought up at family gatherings lol.

Michelle- I didn't ask the friend after all, I guess I feel like it is my responsibility, and I know it annoys me when Arron is looking after the kids and gets people to look after them, so we all need to leave the house at 8.30am, it is sort of silly but too late now.

hope your weekedn is going well and that Jays arm is better. I jammed Josh's hand in the car door the other day, lucky for him it was the front door and there is a sort of cavity so it really only hurt his knuckles a little, it's not swollen or sore anymore so that's good.

Well we are of to see Alana's paed tomorrow. Not concerned. He will be pleased with the way she is going. Will also speak to her dietician and see about starting her on meat. Hopefully its not to much of a drama to start her on it.

Alana had been constipated for two days, poor dear. Anyway she's making up for it today. Three poos already and they stink. Not good.

Alana's Paed appointment went well. She is now in the 50th percentile (up from the 10th). Couldn't be happier.

We also asked about the crawling and he said not to worry. On average its 9 months, so he said she is doing fine. Also asked the physio and she said the same thing. So I'm not going to worry about it. But I hate maternal health!!!!!!

Lara- terrific news for Alana and Grrr at MCHN, worrying you for nothing. My eldest 2 commando crawled from 7 mths but really didn't crawl properly until 9mths. I say enjoy it while it lasts, cos she may not crawl for long and then she may just walk.

lara - fantastic appt for alana, great weight gain and also another grr from me to silly mchn re crawling fair dinkum some of those women are useless lol, with having 3 children since 1998 i think we have had around 6 mchn at our centre and out of them one 1 was decent, didn't carry on about them not drinking milk from a cup, having too many bottles blah blah blah blah blah i just agree with them now and don't tell em the stuff eg do they have a dummy (i say nope) etc i just say what they want to hear lol.

jay has had a rotten cold since thursday temp of 39 and stuffy nose and really nasty cough, do you think he will sit and rest, nope so i just put heaps of vicks on him and load him up on demazin heaps of clothes then let him sweat it out lol, he is alot better now but i think lani is coming down with it, poor little mite is really tired and runny nose and a slight fever so have given her panadol, plus she is cutting 4 teeth at once poor little mite is not a happy girl but she still manages a little giggle. i have got the vapouriser out so i will set that up tonight to keep her clear so she finds it easier to breathe. also a plus i got the infant demazin and you can use it for children from 1mth to 6yrs so hooray lani and jay can have the same medicine, makes it a bit cheaper.

oh and a big woo hoo for lani - i have not given her a rollover bottle at night from 3 nights now and she has still slept through till 7.30am hooray my little girl has figured it all out lol, she is great to she wakes up chatting not crying, i have been lucky all 3 have been happy wakers but lani even more so i can get her up and put her straight down if i need to and she doesn't cry whereas the others were happy when they woke but needed a bit of a cuddle for 5mins before playing.

Lara, woohoo for the fantastic weight gain. I'm glad the pysio and paed set your mind at rest about the crawling. Are you going to be starting on meat. I'm a bit nervous about starting meat. The vege poos are way too stinky for my liking and the meaty ones just seem scary.

Michelle, its wondefull to hear that Lani is sleeping so well. It gives me some hope. I wish she could share some sleeping tips with Yasin. I hope that her teeth don't give her too much grief. Poor little Jay, between his arm and the cold it really sounds like he's in the wars. I hope he feels better soon, colds are no fun. Yasin and I both have one and we felt awful but we're on the mend now. Yasin has snot hanging out his nose constantly. I wipe it and it reappears in minutes, every time anyone picks him up he snots on them. He was blowing snotty bubbles yesterday. It was kind of funny in a really gross way. I tried using the suckky bulb thing but he hated it and when he cried the snot factor was worse so I gave up on it. One of my friends husbands once sucked snot with his mouth :feelsick: :feelsick: but I don't think things have reached that point yet.

Yasin went to his first footy game on saturday. He slept through most of it (I wish he slept so well at home!!) and woke up for the last 15 minutes. He really seemed to enjoy all the excitement. He bounced up and down and shouted like a crazy baby everytime anyone started cheering.

gee it is quiet in here without michelle and kellee lol - i am off to next forum next week so can imagine it will be even quieter lol - there will be others coming in here tho soon.

dachlostar - colds are just terrible aren't they poor bubbies, i put a steam vapouriser in lani's room and it helps with the snuffles, just gotta make sure i leave a window open a little as the condensation that builds up can make the walls and blinds etc all wet. i haven't given lani any demazin yet (i have the infant drops as they can be used up till age 6 which is great - jay has been on them for 1 wk but he is over it now - just a really terrible cough) lani has snot everywhere but not green which is good so am just treating her with the vapouriser - baby balsam (on the feet then socks on - don't ask why but it seems to work) and baby balsam on her singlet then panadol and teething relief and bonjela for the sore gums - as i mentioned she is cutting four teeth at once so she is well and truly dosed up - she slept fine last night thankfully but has been cranky off and on today and just wants to be cuddled ah well thats why were mum's lol.

lani's 3rd tooth is through i can just feel the point (the other 3 are verrrrrrryy close) and jay lost his 2nd tooth today as well, how bizarre, lani cut her 2nd tooth when jay lost his first tooth and she cut her 3rd when he lost his 2nd. have just sms'd dh to make sure he has a couple of $1 coins for the tooth fairy's visit tonight - gollly i am so tired i hope i don't forget. i am looking forward to going to bed early and reading a trashy magazine something i haven't done since before lani was born - due to her rollover feeds.

hope you are all busy and not having cranky babies lol.

lani is very miserable on top of everything in the last few days cold/teething etc i would not be surprised if she has got tonsilitis (sp?) off to gp tommorrow morning, she has been so sad today no smiling and just screaming in pain not drinking bottles and very little solids, when she burps after her bottle she screams in pain so i am guessing sore throat - who knows we will find out. she has a slight temp but not to high so am giving her panadol.

i think i will give her a half bottle tonight before i go to bed, as i want to make sure she keeps up the fluids also got her water ready etc so i am prepared for a sleepless night lol. she went down okay but looks so sad.

i hate it when they are not well.

Hi everyone, its quiet in here isn't it.
DH is at the gym with his brother so I can use the computer without getting hassled. I should probably be in bed instead trying to get some sleep.
We've just put our flat on the market and we have a real estate agent turning up to take photos tomorrow so I have to get the place spotless in the next day or two. It seems so pointless to spring-clean when we're about to leave anyway.
What toys do all the little ones like? Yasin keeps ignoring all his toys and trying to play with mine. I'm beginning to think that the labels on the toys are a bit ambitious. He seems a bit puzzled by most of the 6m+ toys he has. I bought him a new ball tonight and a little yellow push car. He likes his cloth ball so I'm hoping he'll like a rollier plastic ball.

Poor little Lani, I hope she feels better soon and the Dr can do something about those tonsils. The Amazing Race was good tonight. I was so glad that that guy got eliminated, his attitude towards the old couple was so nasty and condescending that I really wanted them to beat him.

MummyLovesJaykob, welcome to the our little group. I saw you were asking about juice in the other forum. I give the baby poppers to Yasin. I just started a few days ago because he has a cold and it has lots of vitamin C in it (you could probably save money by diluting full strength juice). He has been having problems with getting water out of his sippy cup and he seems to find the straw much easier. I hold it for him and he manages to swallow most of it. I tried letting him hold one and he squeezed it all over himself. I only let him have one a day and once this cold clears up I'll put him back on water because I think its better for thier teeth and I worry that if he's accustomed to juice he'll refuse water. I just bought a new sippy cup with no valve and I'm hoping he finds it easier to work with. I wanted one with a straw but all the baby cups with straws were too big for him to hold and didn't have handles.

dachlostar - good luck with selling your unit, i hated it when we sold our house my dd was 2 1/2yrs old and my ds was 4mths old so i got a cleaner in to do a huge clean up with the plan that i could just do a quick once over each day till the house sold, luckily for us we got the price we wanted and were able to rent off the buyer whilst we built our new house - all this from the first buyer and within 24hrs so it was great not having to worry about having a spotless house for inspections etc.

have you tried those golden circle 50/50 juices they are 50% purified water and 50% juice, they are in the baby section and come in 1 litre containers or 6 little pop ups with straws - my ds who is 5 still drinks them - 1 a day and has never had full strength juice, i tried lani but she can't suck from a straw. i have a mag mag from my first dd and found they are great to use as a straw cup, at the moment lani has a pigeon cup with a valve so she doesn't spill it when we are out and about but i take the valve off when she is in her highchair, she loves her cup and the handles are thing and easy for her to get a grip off.

took lani to gp this morning good news is no sign of tonsilitis just a very sore red throat so no need for antibiotics. she is sooooo miserable i can't put her down she just wants cuddles. she woke up at 1am this morning with a 39 temp so i gave her panadol then she woke again at 4.30am so bought her into bed with us. at 7am her temp was 39 again so i gave her some more panadol and put her back in her cot then had to wake her at 8.30am to take to docs she is back down now, hopefully she will be better in a day or too. she has also cut 2 teeth this week now so she is not a happy camper and she definately does not tolerate pain well at all - ohh and she is constipated (she has been constipated with every tooth that comes through weird lol) gosh we are only at the start of winter, oh well it all builds up their immune systems i guess. it definately came from ds, but he was okay with it still running around etc so hopefully she will be better tommorrow, i am feeling a little off colour so i guess i will be next lol, as long as dh doesn't get it - he is the worst patient lol.

anyway we have family coming over tommorrow - my bil and his family they have not seen lani at all as a matter of fact we haven't seen them for around 2 or 3 yrs, they don't live far either - but we have given up the going over to their place and ringing them etc as they never do it in return, thats all i need 2 drunks oh make that 3 including dh and rugrats running around all day when lani isn't well - i might send them all outside lol and me and lani will lay down all day.

Michelle, sorry Lani is sick. I hope she gets better soon, I hate it when mine get sick. A few weeks ago Grace got a snotty nose and couldn't sleep because she couldn't breath through her nose. I am hoping they won't get any winter bugs but I think that is wishful thinking.

Grace has started crawling normally now and she has used her increased mobility to explore the house. She tries to follow me around now too.
She can sit up by herself now too, in the last weeks she has become stronger in her back and doesn't flop anymore.

Dachlostar - Grace seems to like playing with Harry's toys. She goes into his room with him and plays with his matchbox cars and pulls books off his bookshelf. She loves his elmo toy too. She has a fisher price kick and whirl carnival which is in the lounge room and that keeps entertained for ages too. It plays music and has spinning balls and lights. She pulls herself up on it and bops, it is so cute.

We had an interesting weekend - my BIL, DH's youngest brother, came out of the closet. Or I should say, his mum told us for him. Apparently the ILs have known for a while, but they think he is just "confused". They are in denial. MIL actually thinks he might have some relationships with men then decide he actually likes women after all. I sincerely doubt it. FIL just keeps telling crass gay jokes. He is a jokey person and Stephen says that is how he deals with things that make him uncomfortable. Hmmm.
I am sure with time they will get used to it. We are fine with it, whatever makes him happy.

Anyway, better get off here a cranky baby needs attention!

Firstly thanks for the welcome :)

Lily is about to be baptised, in 2 weeks, although I just had a run-in with the priest (yes I shall be struck down any second) #-o . I mentioned to him that friends and family would be coming to the full mass and not just be turning up at the last minute, be baptised and then leave, which you think he would be pleased about, but no, he said "this is not just your own personal social event" (and he wonders why more people are leaving the church!). Never mind, we are looking forward to it all the same.

Lily is having teething problems atm. She got her 2 bottom teeth through right on 5 months old and she had 4 top teeth come through all this week, poor little might, she must take after DH, he was born with 2 full sets of baby teeth and had them all removed when he was only 5 months old ! My poor darling girl wants to be happy but she is miserable.

Michelle - Hope Lani is better, it's horrible when they are in pain and you can't help them, just lots of extra cuddles and "patience".

bon - hooray for grace crawling on all fours - lani has been commando crawling since 7mths and goes really quick all around the house she stops and gets on all fours but decides it is quicker to commando or slug as we call it here lol. on the sitting - after my mchn told me they need to crawl before they can sit i haven't been putting lani in a sitting position on the floor, a few days ago i gave it a go and she sat there for at least 10mins adn was fine so i guess i might do it more often. i still can't work out why they say crawl before sitting you would of thought the other way round who knows lol after 3 kids i still get confused sometimes - it is true mummy mush brain lol

lily - wow on the teeth my ds had his first teeth at 12wks and i remember him cutting 8 in one mth prior to his 1st birthday, he had all is teeth by the time he was 18mths old including his molars and honestly you wouldn't have known he was getting them, with lani it is a completely different story - she has 3 teeth now with (2 bottom 1 top) the other top and another 2 bottom are coming through still.

lani is still very feverish her temp is between 38 and 39 if it goes higher tonight and i can't get it down i think we may zip up to the hospital - she has been awake for a total of 3hrs all day today, poor little mite, this virus is a shocker, on top of the teething this week and not to mention when she teethes she gets constipated, i really feel for her, my ds sits there and strokes her forehead bless him. i think i may be coming down with it, my legs are all achey and my nose is runny ah well share it around i guess.

my bil and his tribe are coming tommorrow (haven't seen them in nearly 2yrs and they don't live that far away probably 1hr drive max) anyway he knows lani is not well and he said i don't sound to good and then asks if they can all camp at our house for the night WTF he only wants to get ****ed i didn't know what to say, i said talk to dh tommorrow - my dh has to work sunday morning to so to have a house full of people here all drunk and sprawled out on the floor is not my idea of fun anymore lol. hopefully dh is strong enough to say to them if they don't want to drive home then get a motel - stuff em i don't need that atm.

anyway i might jump into bed and try and get a good nights sleep in case lani wakes a bit.

Michelle, I hope that your in-laws aren't too inconsiderate and infuriating. Its the last thing you need with a sick baby and when you're not feeling too good yourself. I really hope you don't come down with the virus. Looking after a sickie and being ill yourself is a tough call. The golden circle juices are the ones I buy. I tried a bit of Yasin's left over and it was pretty yummy.

Kylie, what a silly priest, I'm sure that you'll enjoy yourself despite him. WOW at 4 teeth coming through at once, that sounds really ouchie. Maybe its good to get them all out of the way at once.

Yasin started trying to pull himself up today!!!! I told the cheeky monkey not to but he didn't listen when I asked him not to get crawling so I'm sure he'll ignore me again. So far he can only kneel but I'm sure he'll figure the rest out far too soon. He gave himself (and me) a big fright today when he knelt up in front of the stereo and gave the volume knob a twiddle.
I might go and harrass DH to make up for all times he distracted me when I was trying to write essays. I'm thinking of going back to uni next year and doing a bit of post-grad work or maybe getting a part-time job. I'm beginning to feel like I need to get out more. Maybe I should just make some more friends or go to a playgroup.

Hello girls, so sorry I've been absent. I was so mad when my post seemingly didn't make it and then the second one also got the debug and I was SPEWING. Glad to see that both posts did make it.

Michelle (mooshie) - I was against the christening. I don't believe in organised religion and I am not sure whether I believe in God (I want to but certain things make me wonder, like your DD - if there was one, why would he let those horrible things happen?) Anyway.. don't want to get into it too much but in the end I realised it would make both grandmothers very happy and it's just a bit of water ... it's not like circumcision (which I did insist would not happen - DH wanted it).

Dachlostar, I had to laugh so so much about your tantrum. That sounds like something I'd do. (and lol on your mom Michelle). Well, I can tell you, if I did that DH would just switch to paper/plastic plates... oh, but I did threaten him with divorce the other day and when I came back from my long walk, he had done the vacuuming... why do we have to take such drastic measures to make our husbands realise that they can't just treat us like servants????

We went to pick up the tickets for the confederation cup game next weekend (argentinia vs. australia) today. We got stuck in bad traffic and Wolf was basically SCREAMING for 2 hours... not fun... and all because DHL was too stupid to find our place... arrrg... We are doing a huge road trip so we couldn't have them re-delievered as we will be away from Sunday. I hope Wolf won't scream all the time on that (though we'll try to do most of the driving at night, when he's asleep anyways).

I got tickets for the Tori Amos concert in 10 days. I am soooooooo excited. She's my absolute favourite artist. It's my birthdaypresent to myself (and DH will babysit). I am going with the girl who was in the hospital room with me (lucky coincidence she likes Tori as well).... okay.. absolutely not related to babies, but am soooooo excited!

re. the drinking. Wolf is too stupid to drink from a sippy cup or a normal cup or a straw... have tried it several times but he just doesn't get it... ... he prefers to play with it (and squirt it all over the place) ](*,)

I just heard from my mom that a family friend's child is not only spastic and epileptic but also deaf... gawd.. that makes you realise how lucky we are to have healthy children... The boy is 1.5 years now and still can't sit. I feel so sorry for the girl... there is something that caused it but they are not speaking about it openly.
