Unfortunately this will be the last month for the majority of us in the 1-3 month old thread.

Went to watch Alecia in her year 7 band last night. She was really nervous because her saxaphone has been squeaking, and she can't seem to play it with out sqeaking. But she was ok, she sqeaked a couple of times but you could bearly hear it over the rest of the band. Emily was fairly well behaved and Violet slept :) . There were nowhere near enough seats for everyone tho. We sat on a table and some other ppl stood or sat on the floor... so hopefully next time they will be more prepared!

Had trouble getting Violet down again last night... I think it was close to 1am before she gave in... but she slept till 7:30. Still... I am tired!

I'm nearly out of this thread already. Wow 3 months have flown by so fast. Tehya was 12 weeks old yesterday but not officially 3 months til the 8th of June so I get a bit more time in here.

Tanya good to hear that Alecia did well at her concert last night. She must have been so nervous. How silly that they didn't have neough seats prepared. Schools often do that and then at the last minute they are trying to set up extras. Pity that Violet wouldn't sleep for you, maybe she'd already had enough at the concert?

Would love to respond to other posts but there are NONE. And of course I can't remember what was written on last months page :)

Had an ok night with bub. She woke a couple of times, seems to havegotten a real love happening for that dummy. If she looses it she will have a sook. Sound familiar Sarah? Not all of the time though. Usually I can just replace it and she's back out thankfully.

I had Westmead ring me this morning, they said they were doing a questionare and research on babies with fevers and what caused them etc. Anyway they want me to send in Tehya's xray for them to look at. They are sending out a return paid envelope and say they will reurn it in a few weeks. I figured why not. If their research can help someone else then why not.

Did I dare to have a breath.... I now have Brandon home from school. He woke last night and spewed ALL through his bed. So I have spent today doing numerous loads of washing including his continental quilt that I'm not supposed to machine wash. Hard luck, in it went. Obviously the cloud is still hanging over the top of my house. Wonder when it's going to move along???

Forgot to say, Deb, Gabby is doing really well on her tum going by her pics. Violet just lays there, although she gets her leg right up underneath herself like she is going to take off... but she doesn't like it on her belly much.

Tanya - I am beginning to wonder if it is such a good thing that she holds her head up so high. She doesn't really like being on her tummy for very long. The poor thing probably strains her neck muscles. Sounds like Alecia went well at her concert. School halls are never big enough for a decent audience. I reckon all schools should be given a massive stadium so that the kids can reach their full potential with concerts and sports. It's not like we're a third world country that can't afford it, hey?

Trish - OMG... can't believe that Brandon is now sick! I am gonna come over and huff and puff and blow that damn cloud away. You have had enough!!

Nell - it's great that you are enjoying your mother's group. Mine is good so far. I wish the others would talk a bit more. I talk too much because it goes too silent for my liking, LOL. They probably all hate me - Mrs. Chatterbox. Sounds like Matty had a huge day yesterday! It's so much fun showing them off at work, isn't it! LOL @ you having to think about doing that one thing. I was in kmart a few weeks ago and I looked at the registers and wondered if I would remember how to do everything. I would love to jump on one and see how I went. Somehow I don't think that the manager would let me, hehehe.

Chrissy - you can live vicariously through us if you like! It's a pity you are working tomorrow otherwise you could have come to Wonderland to have a play with us. Maybe we will just have to organise another meeting in the school hols.

Had a big day today. Gabby slept until 8am (10 hours!) which was great. I had her up, fed, dressed and back asleep by 9:15am only to get her back up to jump in the car at 10am to take Neil's lunch to Torquay (he left it on the bench). Showed Gabby off to his boss (who had 7 boys and now has 2 grandsons so he loves the pink!) then had to drive across town to a le reve party. I got there and no one was home. Called my friend and, as it turns out, I got the wrong week! Doh! #-o So I went to drop in on another friend that lives in the same suburb but she wasn't home either! Fi had messaged me to go for a walk so I rang her and said I could make it but had to drive back home to get my runners. Got to Fi's after an hour and a half of driving around. Needless to say, Gabby was over it! We had a fantastic walk tho! And Fi made me some yummy scones with jam and cream! We definitely would have burned them off with the walk tho! Jenna is looking soooooo much bigger. Gabby doesn't make her look so tiny any more!
So now we are home and the Gabster is asleep again. Poor little sausage - Mumma keeps dragging her all over the place!
Big day again tomorrow with meeting up in Werribee with some of you lovely ladies. Should be good!

Trish - I'm just scared that that cloud will move onto my house!! We need to find something to break it up a little so it moves over lots of different people in smaller amounts. Bugger having the run of sickies you guys have had!!! I hope Brandon gets better really soon.

Nell - the mothers group is quite good. I have someone else in it from Deb and my ANC, and shes really nice. The mothers all seem a little older, and there are 5 girls and 3 boys. One mother is repeating the classes because when she did them she was the only mother who turned up every week. So her baby is 5 months old, and looks huge in comparison. I'm looking forward to meeting you tomorrow!!! I will be resplendant in my BB top!! Yay! I'm also looking forward to a good coffee. Hopefully they have some nice ones there.

Tanya - how funny that Alecia's sax is squeeking!! My sister played the oboe, and it was SOOOOOO bad when she was starting off!! It sounded like a dying duck!! I will never let my children play the violin, cause I hate how that sounds as a beginner too. I played the recorder and the cello, and I have to admit, the cello isn't too hard on the ears when you aren't very good.

On the hall thing - In Japan my sister wanted to get my niece to do Ballet, but twice a year they hire out the city hall and put on free concerts. Guess who has to pay for the hall hire?? Parents - and I get the impression from Katy it is the equivalent of chipping out several hundred dollars per child!!!!!

Deb - my legs are still killing me, but I'm so pleased we went for the walk. I think Shane and Jenna have gone to bed!! I'm just happy to have a little time to myself.

Sarah - hope you are doing well too. What a bugger about the hammock. I'd be requesting a replacement!!! But then again, if its going to do it more, you dont really want one. Ihope the sleep in the cot doesn't go toooooo badly.......

Sorry I haven't been around guys, we've had a bad few days. See I never should have mentioned the good sleeps Alexzander was having LOL!! Aaron had a play with the hammock & fixed it up so Zander is still sleeping in there. On Tuesday night I had about 5.5hrs non-consecutive sleep, then last night about the same. And yesterday was a total shocker. He was cranky at mums group & spent half the time with me rather than the other babies, then when we got home he SCREAMED non stop for over an hour. It got to the point where I rang Aaron & told him to get home now, problem was he has been on a course & was due to start his exam just after I rang him, oops! He got home early, cooked dinner & looked after Zander while I had a bit of a nana nap.

Deb, Zander is the same, hold his head right up, but gets bored of tummy time real quick. LOL at being Mrs Chatterbox at mother's group, I'm sure they don't mind.

I was thinking of you being nearly in the next thread yesterday Trish. Zola as well, Bas will be 3 months tomorrow! Poor Brandon being sick now. Wish that nasty cloud would go away.

Sounds like Alecia concert went well, even if it was a bit squeaky! Poor Violet having a bad night, I hope she was better last night for you.

Awww Sarah - sorry to hear that Zander's great sleeps were only short lived. Poo! Fi and I were just joking yesterday about how much easier it would be if all new Mums lived in a communal house. As Gabby was sleeping, I was able to help her out by laying out the bunny rug to wrap Jenna in and then she was able to make me scones while I popped the dummy in the girl's mouth while they played on the floor. It was quite convienient!! I guess it would suck if both girls cracked it tho!! LOL

Looking forward to our Western Suburbs meet-up today. Should be good! Nell and Michelle (mitch4now) are hopefully gonna give me some scrapping pointers ;) Hopefully I will get a couple of pictures of all of us wearing our BB tops! That would be cool! Even if they are covered in baby spew and slobber!

Love the idea of the communal house Deb, it would be so much easier wouldn't it & you wouldn't go stir crazy from being on your own all the time either! I guess if both bubs were sooky at the same time you could at least swap & see if a new pair of hands worked?!

That would be good to do a swap, Sarah! A change of scenery for you both, LOL. I guess it is true when they say it takes a village to bring up a child. Our culture has it sooooooo screwed-up I reckon!

I totally agree with you there Deb. I have no idea how my mum did it without any family close by. And especially since she didn't have a mum to have ideas from - her mum left when she was 2 & was never heard of since.

Trish - I hope that the sickness leaves and doesnt come back!!!

Sarah - Sorry that Zander has decided to be difficult again, its always the way though. I hope that you are managing to get some sleep!

I am a bit all over the place. Hayley has had 2 days from hell, think it must be a delayed reaction from her needles! We had her hearing test done yesterday and she FAILED!!! I cannot believe it! They didnt really explain it all in normal terms, it was all technical, thankfully DH took the day off to be with us! The worst part is that they wont retest her until she is 10 months old!!! WTF! So I basically have to wait until January to find out if it is a huge problem or not! Hayley has diminished hearing in both ears but her right ear is a lot worse than the left! She does have fluid or something and it might clear itself but then again it might not! They dont think that it will affect her speech but they dont know! Its all so frustrating, I will speak to the paediatrician when I see him in a couple of weeks.

I hope that everyone has a lovely day! I better go express again or Hayley will have nothing to drink!

Sarah, sorry to hear you have been having a rough time (again). Can I ask if anyone in yours or Aaron's Family is lactose intolerant, or have been known to be when they were infants? My point is that maybe you could switch Znders formula to Goats formula? When Wato was a baby he turned out to be allergic to cow's milk so they used to give him goats milk... much easier on the human digestive system (Mind you they bought a couple of goats just for this purpose :) ). I had Emily on it when I first stopped breast feeding because I was paranoid she would break out in eczma like he does. Or even Soy milk...?

Deb, have fun at your meet up. I would looove the communal house! Even just for a couple of nights a week. It would be good to mix the children and get some adult interaction! Although we love our men, sometimes they just don't get it...women just know what to do (no offence ment 8-[ ).

Well Violet had a big sook again last night... stared about 8 and lasted till 1:30... sometimes she'll just cry, and other she will be happy and smiling, she'll go to sleep only to wake five minues later crying even when picked up. So that's 3 nights in a row... I am thinking maybe she has a mild case of colic?? Just about every night she'll fuss around bedtime and it will last for several hours... every other time of the day she is GREAT! Hmmm what do you think?

Sorry to hear that Hayley failed her hearing test... poor little mite! It must be horrible having to wait for ten months to get tested again... in a way it's like, well what was the piont of having her tested early!

I'm starting to think Zander has colic as well Tanya. Have you checked out the thread on it? Someone (FionaJill I think?) has done a really good post on what the symptoms are & how to help it.... It's worth a try I guess so you get some more sleep. No-one in either families has a lactose intolerance, but I might try the lactose free formula when I get another tin, bought a normal one this morning before seeing your post #-o

Aww Dinky, sorry to hear Hayley didn't pass her hearing test. Hopefully it isn't anything too major. What a shocker that you have to wait until January for more tests though, talk about giving parents more to stress about [-X

I got Zander some Dr Seuss books this morning in the mail - freebies, which is great :) I got them from the Scholastic website - they send you 5 books, 3 are free ones & you have 7 days to return the others or pay for them. I returned the others cos I don't have the $$ for them at the moment. But inside the box were brochures on all these other books & I've found a series that I want to buy called "Help Me Be Good". I think there are 20 of them, stories about disobeying, teasing, throwing tantrums, stealing, interrupting etc. They look really good & at $9.95 each it's worth it I think if they help with manners & that sort of stuff.

Sarah, those books sound really good! They could be a source of good ideas :)
As for the lactose free formula... I guess anything is worth a try, I think a lot of babies are lactose intolerant when they are small but grow out of it. It would be good to pin point is trouble.
As for Colic, I am going to try and get Violet to get as much hind mild as possble, they say that too much foremilk can give babies wind/gas... so I amgoing to ensure the 1st boob is truely empty b4 I offer her the 2nd... see if that makes a difference.

Violet has is really finding her hands now :) She now sucks on them when she is upset, and rubs her own eyes when she is tired :) Awwww very cute!

Awww that is cute Tanya :) Zander just looks at his all the time now. I think he was trying to rub his eyes a bit earlier today too! Yeah the books look great, they have really good illustrations & they seem easy to read. They send out 2 per month until you get them all, so I figure $20 a month is good if they help.

Am feeling very human today. After a shocking day yesterday and a terrible night before that, Jenna slept from 9pm through til 5am!!! And then went down again from 6am til 9. So all I had to do was just feed her and dress her and we were off to Werribee.

It was a lovely day - such a shame its winter cause I would love to have the babies on rugs in parks. I get a little clostrophobic being shut in a building with no windows!!! All the kiddies were very good, and I was the first to get sick on my top! Yay for chucky!

Sarah/Tanya - Jenna gets windy every so often, adn just will not settle. Thats been the problem the last couple of days, and I think its something to do with what I've eaten. Take the good with the bad huh??

Sarah - those books sounds great!!! I might have to do the same thing. The Dr Suess ones I mean. Our two bathtime books are getting a little repetitive........

Dinky - I think the test that Hayley has failed is the one where they bounce a signal to the eardrum and see what comes back?? Somehow it tells them whether there is a predisposition to hearing loss I think. Try not to worry - it might be nothing. It does seem wierd that they wont test again for a long time though. If it was serious they would do something about it sooner I'm sure.

Deb - I'm gunna pass on the communal house!! Other babies crying annoys me a bit much. I can't even handle Jenna crying when she is with Shane. I just need a maid to help me with the house work, and then I wont worry about anything except jenna!

Right - netball practise tonight - my first training session with the seniors. I bet I make a complete ass of myself!!! I'm so unfit and carrying a bit much extra weight to make it quickly around the court. Oh well - $hit happens!

Yay for the good sleep Fi, it sounds like Jenna might be getting the hang of things, I just wish Zander would! Hope training went well tonight.

Sarah, Zanders new pics look gorgeous. He's looking like a real little man now. Those manners books sound great. i wonder if they'll work on a 13 year old. Actually I have to say my kids are buggars but they all have beautiful manners. Especially Noah.

Deb, Gabby's new pics are too cute. Your pic from the meet up is great too. While the communal house sounds good in theory, I'm with Fi, I can't handle hearing babies cry all the time. Oops right on cew, Tehya just started screaming. I think thats what annoys me the most about being in the hospital, both now and when the boys were born, the extra noise.

Fi, Yay on getting a good nights sleep. Makes a huge difference to you. Hope all went well for you at training last night. I'm sure those last few kilos will come off in no time now that your running around the court again. Sounds like you girls had a great time at your meet up.

Dinky, sorry to hear about Hayleys test. Maybe you can go through your GP and organise another one sooner than October? It might help to put your mind at rest or give you a more definant answer atleast.

Tanya, it's so cute when they sit there having a feast on their hands isn't it. Tehya loves chewing on hers then she ends up with dribble everywhere. Her hands are covered in it especially when you finally get them unclenched to clean them. Yuck!!!

Nell, Zola and Nat hope that you guys are all doing well and that your bubs are being well behaved for you.

Had a pretty good night with Tehya, wish the afternoon was the same. She was awake from around 1.30pm til 8.30pm last night ](*,) got her off a few times but only for 10 minutes. Although I shouldn't complain too loudly because she slept from 8.30 til 3.30 ish when I gave her back the dummy and she woke for a feed at 4.30, again at 5.45am and I think she's still asleep now.

We are off to the paed today. Hopefully he checks out her weight while we're there. I think that all is good with her. She is still having coughing fits in the middle of the night but I can no longer her her breathing/wheezing all the time. Still abit blocked up in the nose, but she's been like that pretty much since birth anyway.

Thanks to everyone for your support re Hayley's hearing test! Fi, you are right, it was the one with the blowing air in the ears that she totally failed, but also the electrode one on the right side. Spoke to the audiologist again yesterday and he thinks that I should take her to the GP to get her checked out and perhaps some antibiotics, but not to do it until next week, so I think I will do that. The reason that they cant do anything sooner is that they dont like to touch their ears too early and there is a slight chance that it will go away but more than likely she will at least need grommets, and hopefully her hearing loss wont be too bad.

DH has been a total ^&*%(! He tells me not to worry about the test until January when they will retest her! He took the day off to help but didnt actually help with anything and he is constantly picking Hayley up because she makes a little noise, grrrr!!! Then last night he walks in saying that he has a headache, so he has dinner and heads off to bed, leaving me with the 3 girls on my own, ended up getting to bed at 2am, yay!

I have Shannen home today at the teachers request! Shannen is being bullied by another girl and is quite distressed about it, her teacher wont be there today so requested that I keep her home to stop the hassle until she can deal with it on Monday, will be interesting to see what happens! Shannen is having a sleep in, I am trying to get a heap of housework done, before we head off shopping for her camp clothes again! But then again I might do that tomorrow.

I WANT MORE SLEEP!!!! My darling son decided he didn't want to sleep again last night. Went to bed at 11.30 and we were up at 1.45 I tried to go back to bed at 4.30, but he kept spitting his dummy out ](*,) So at 5.00 I got up with my pillow & a blanket & took him out to the lounge with me. I know it's not real safe, but we had to get some sleep. I was then dozing on & off until 8.00 not really sleeping though.

Oh & at 3.30am he decided to spew ALOT! We went through 2 spews on each of my dressing gown, pyjama top & spew nappy as well as 1 spew on 4 different blankets ](*,) Seeing as my other pjs are in the ash from being spewed on I ended up in a t-shirt, not great considering it was only 11deg in the loungeroom this morning!

Yay for a good sleep Trish. I don't know when I'm going to get one from earlier than 10.30pm, Zander just will not stay asleep before then. Good luck at the paed today, hopefully little miss didn't lose too much weight when she was sick.

It's gotta be driving you nuts that he isn't really getting the sleep idea :( Wish I could help out some how. The photo from the meet yesterday is (L-R) Michelle (mitch4now) with Jemma and Jessica, the Kazz and Nicholas, Gab and I, Fiona and Jenna then Nell and Matty. The lady that ran the place was quite chuffed at being asked to take the photo and she did a good job. She wanted to take more but I was the only one brave enough so I got a photo with Gabby on one of the jumping castles.

Dinky - sorry to hear about Shannen getting bullied. Seems rather odd to me that she should be the one to miss out on school. Shouldn't the bully be the one to miss out? I guess it might depend on his/her parents - apples often don't fall far from trees in some cases! How lovely of your DH to leave you with it all. So, when you get a headache, can you take off and go to bed?? Gotta love the double standards, don't you! Last night Neil yawned his head off and said, "I'm going to bed" at like 9:30pm. Hmm... lucky him! I got to bed by 11pm so I shouldn't complain but it just doesn't seem fair, does it? Yeah, he works full time... from 6am-4pm. When do I clock off??

Trish - ah yes, you reminded me how noisey the hospital is. Not fun when you have just gone through the biggest event of your life! Good to hear your boys all mind their manners. It is something that is sadly lacking in kids these days. Mum always taught us to respect our elders and it got me a long way! There's a difference to being independent and standing up for yourself and then just being plain rude! The way some kids speak to their teachers is just shocking. I often have to put them back in their place by reminding them who is the teacher and who is the child. It's not about belittling them but more about teaching them how they can get far more out of life by being respectful that by being a nasty-pasty.

I am trying to have a relaxing morning this morning. I think our busy week has worn Gabby out. She once again put herself to sleep last night which is bloody amazing, I can tell you! I am a lucky gal!
My sister's friend is coming over today to take photos but Neil won't be here :( Ah well... I will get the photo I want with the next baby (IF we have one, LOL). Gabby's kind of too big now n e way. I needed to get it done when she was just a couple of weeks old like you did, Trish.
I am so excited about scrapbooking now! I just wish I had more $$ so that I could buy some stuff and get going on it. Patience is a virtue, right??

Sarah - bummer about the bad night. Jenna was unbearable last night too, and this morning she is practising her spews too. ALready 1 change of clothes for us both, plus 3 chuck cloths. She is down now..... we will wait and see!! I'm wondering if it could be coffee?? I really should keep a food diary I think and see what upsets her. As for sleeping on the couch, I think its only bad if you have cushions he could get trapped between or you are a heavy sleeper. I wouldn't stress too much about it!! Do what you can to sleep!!

Deb - Hope your photos turn out well. And keep going with your scrapbooking. I think your pages looked great. And yay on Gabby dropping off again!! Did she have a bottle???

Dinky - I'm not too sore, but so much for training for 3-4 weeks and then getting on the court! They need me this weekend to play for the D grade team - in WA which is not my best position. Oh well - I'll see how I go I guess. I did all the training and didn't have too many problems except running out of breath a bit. Unfit person right here!!!! we will just take tomorrows game 1/4 at a a time. What a bugger about Shannen being bullied. Hopefully the teache sorts it out on Monday.

Trish - hope the appt with the paed goes well. Jenna has a blocked nose too - on and off. I think it is just boogers though from where milk comes out her nose......

Well I better get some washing folded. Its a gorgeous sunny day here, I wish I had the nappies washed to hang on the line. They need the sun bleaching!!! Too many dries over the clothes rack. Oh well - I'll get them on after my new undies have been wahsed. My control briefs.... luverly!! I need them clean for tomorrow as I have to wear one of those lycra all in ones for netball!!! YUCK!!!!! My back fat is going to look simply atrocious. Women 8 weeks post baby should be allowed to play in baggy trackies!!!

Yay! Welcome Dee!! I can't believe little Matthew is 1 month old already! Wow! It's gone fast from my perspective but I am sure it doesn't seem as fast from yours. I know my first month with Gabby seemed to drag (I guess sleep deprivation has a lot to do with it!).

Nell - hope you guys have fun at the movies tonight and Matty sleeps soundly. I am sure your MIL will have a few tricks up her sleeve if he does happen to wake up. We are hoping to do the same thing soon. Neil really wants to see star wars so I said we could go and see it so long as Mum can look after Gabby at our place. Mum can't wait!

Well, Gabby had her photos done. Unfortunately I had to reschedule my MCHN appointment because I thought it was at 3:30 but it was at 2:30 and there would have been too much stuffing around to get there. I have to wait until next month to get in tho! Blimey! Ah well. I am not too fussed. I will just weigh her myself at mother's group on Tuesday.
Hopefully the photos will turn out really well. I got some nudey ones and some of her in a pretty pink dress that I wore as a baby. She didn't really smile in any of them but she wasn't crying so I am not too fussed. I plan on taking her to get some pixie photos done once she can hold her own head up.

Neil has gone to Bendigo so we are all on our lonesome for the night. I get the whole bed to myself! WOO HOO!!!

Yay Dee - congrats on makiing the first month!! Sounds like you are taking it all in your stride. I wish I could be more like that, but I still stress about all the small stuff. Not cleaning - that I couldn't care about, but theres plenty of other things to worry about.

Still - I have to pat myself on the back - I baked a slice and some pastries today, and did 2 lods of washing! I love getting the nappies outside - too often they are left to dry inside, and I think they end up a bit stinkier. And of course it helps that Jenna has had 2 decent naps today.

Deb - I hope you have a great night to yourself. And miss Gabby behaves herself. I can't wait to see the photos!!

Nell - have a ball at the movies, hope it goes OK for you MIL.

No more from me - I need to clean up the kitchen before Shane gets home as it is FILLED with baking crap. He gets very angry when I haven't loaded up the dishwasher, although he doesn't mind the baking..... He snuck home from work again today as he was running errands, so he took some slice back for him and his mate. They often have a sneaky afternoon tea, so that is on the menu. I wonder what he's doing for us for dinner???

Nell sounds like we are the same with books, our kids are probably going to hate reading cos we do it too much, or love it like us!! I hope it's the latter though. Enjoy the movie tonight Nell, just don't fall asleep in it - that's what I worry about if we ever manage to go again!

I ended up going into work today just for a visit. I ended up answering phones all afternoon! Zander was really good, so we were thinking that once we move to the new warehouse (in a month or so) I could take him in every second Friday & on the other Friday he can stay home with Aaron (he has a 9day fortnight). Plus I'll be working Saturday mornings as well. Every little bit counts!

Yay onthe work front sarah! Thats great that you took Zander in with you. And dont ya just love 9 day fortnights?? I think it would be great for Aaron to stay home with the bubby. If nothing else, it would make him appreciate the job you do just that little bit more!! Although I'm sure he already does.
And its not that people will look at my back fat - its that they wont be able to miss it!! Most of the girls that play are quite slim and gorgeous, I'll stick out like dogs bollocks.....

As for reading - I dont do that much with Jenna yet. I'm happy talking to her and singing to her. I need to get some more books, and maybe I'll change my attitude a little. i dont think our kids will hate reading!! My little brother didn't like reading that much as a kid, but in his late teens got heavily into books, and now he reads as much as the rest of my family. Just had to find his niche I guess?

Sarah - I have been meaning to take a picture of my scrap pages but every time I think of it, the camera either has dead batteries or Neil has it. He has got it tonight so you will have to wait longer. Michelle's scrap pages put mine to shame tho! Sounds like a good idea with work. Like you said, every little bit counts.

Neil came home today saying that they need someone to vacuum and clean the loos at his work. He suggested it to me as it is $15 an hour. His secretary is also looking for someone to clean her house.
I'm not sure whether to do it or not. I guess it is a pride thing. Silly really (and no offense to anyone!) but to go from being a teacher with 2 degrees under my belt to cleaning loos??? I know it's just for a bit of pocket money but I could earn 3 times as much doing one day of teaching iykwim? By the same token, it's not possible for me to go back to teaching yet because of BFing. Hmm... what do you guys reckon? Am I just being snobby and silly?

You can call me snobby too Deb! In my last job I was a PA to 3 people, but one day I was out the back folding chaircovers (I worked for a huge hire company). My brain kept going over & over "I have 2 degrees & I am folding chaircovers???" But I suppose you do what you have to!

Deb, I don't think your being snobby, you just know what your worth. I can't wait to see some of your pics too. I found in the early days of scrapping that ebay is really cheap to get stuff. Although it does pay to shop around. If you are looking at something on ebay and your not sure if it's a good rice or not go to an Australian online scrap shop and compare the price. This way you'll know if your getting a bargain or not. I have so much extra stuff that I got ages ago I really need to have a big clean out of it all. Also there are some great scrap mags out that will give you heaps of ideas and show you how to use different products.

Sarah, I agree Zander really is starting to look like you. Sorry to hear that you got a crap nights sleep. Maybe you should start thinking about something like Karitane or Tresillian to help you out. Just a suggestion anyway.

Fi, you make me laugh girl. Don't stress about your "fat back" it could be worse you know. Besides how many of these girls are back on the court with 8 week old babies. I'm flat out walking around the shoppig centre :)

Dinky, sorry to hear about Shannen getting bullied. Not too long ago I was posting about the same thing happening to Joel. It's a real hassle for the poor kids too.

The paed is a real strange man. Quiet anoyying actually. He forgets everything you are saying to him and re-asks it again 5 seconds later. He wanted to know what her temp was for every bloody day last week. Like I can remember exactly how hot she got. At worst it was 38.9 isn't that bad enough. He said her chest was clear but is worried that she still has the cough. Then he suggetsed Whooping cough and I told him I didn't think thats what it was and he asked why, I explained how she coughed and yes I do admit it sounds like it but it isn't. She has a gasp at the end of her cough and it's only her trying to catch her breath. Then he says he thinks she might be aspiring her milk. WTF. Because she only coughs really after her feeds. I said I think it's because she has a snotty nose and when trying to feed she is sucking all the snot back causing her to cough. Make sense to you girls? Honestly I walked away wondering who the Dr was. Maybe I have found my true calling :)

So now after ot all we have to go back next Friday again to have her chest checked again. ANother $70 later, thank God for Medicare.

With Heath being on interstate, when he is home he sleeps during the day, so i always have our super dooper king size bed to myself.

I am glad you all had a great day out....I was actually off school with the dreaded cold, so I wouldn't have been the best compmay for little bubbies anyway.


A few of the aides at my school are into scrapbooking and are always showing me different albums.

When i left Sydney, my prep grade made me a scrapbook album. One of the mums sent a note home to all the parents, i assumed they were birthday invites. But the mum collected all the photos of my students and made one page for each student. They wrote the most beautiful things as well.

You could agree I was a blubbering mess when presented with this. i was touched that the parents had handed over these beautiful photos, plus it was in one of those roolly expensive albums!!

Had swimming today, which was good... I forgot my tshirt...urgh! So i had to use wato's. Porr wato, Licky he had one on under his shirt!!

Violet had another session last night... this time it was form 8 til about midnight... so not as bad as the three night b4. She slept till 8am, so I really shouldn't complain. I've decided to chang ethe way I deal with her when she gets like that too... I am going to let her stay up a little longer until she really cracks 'em... it did work a bit better... she wasn't as screamy.
