I was exactly the same! And I daresay I will be next time until I know everything is ok. I think its a natural reaction. Its easy to say don't worry but its hard to do.
I understand completely

Yes! I still have a moment of dread the first time I go to the toilet every day. And I have lower back cramps still, so I worry after I've had a cramp. I think my worry is starting to taper off a little (when I first got the lower back cramp, I was sure it was all over, but actually seeing no spotting or bleeding has reassured me that it must be normal).
I know what you mean! I am trying to get over my general feelings of concern... some symptoms would help!
Me me me!!! And still the same 8-[
yep - definately dreaded it for at least the first 14 weeks!!

And the circle completes itself!!!! Now I'm getting scared to wipe again in case AF rears its ugly head again..... Have been getting some bloody mucus lately. Damn it!! I thought breastfeeding was supposed to keep it at bay for months!!
Of course - by 38 weeks you'll be hoping to wipe and see some!

Me too. Always. Through my entire pregnancy with Olivia and through this pregnancy I was always concious of wiping, and always looked, slightly filled with trepidation.
I mentioned it to my SIL once (who is a nurse, so I expected her to think I was mad) and she said she was exactly the same through both of her two pregnancies as well..........
Me too, and still doing it!!!! #-o
Ahh, the joys of pregnancy!
I'm the same! I'm always checking. I'm hoping once I go for my 20 week scan I'll settle down a bit.
Yep constantly checking :)
I checked the entire way through as well 8-[
I was like you too Fi, scared of getting AF back LOL! But also now whilst TTC I am scared of wiping around AF time, so I wonder when I'll go back to not caring LOL!

I was a habitual toilet-paper checker too!!
Yep me too and I will be again when I get pg again.
Glad to know I'm certainly, most definately not the only one. This is still my number one fear and was certainly not helped by the fact that I did have the light bleeding around 9wks.
glad i'm not alone.
i have this irrational fear that if i push to hard when i poo, i will push the baby right out!
Misty, I have that fear too! So I spend AGES on the loo, rather than push hard and be done with it. It keeps me placated, can't ask for more than that 8-[
I still do - but now for a different reason!
Don't want to go into labour just yet!
Best wishes to you!!
Yes, I am guilty too...
I also have learnt not to buy paper that has red/pink/brown print on it, will give you a heart attack every time
LOL Canniel!!
I learnt that one too!! #-o
:D Knowing I am not the only one doing this has certainly put a smile on my face. Isn't funny how concerned (or perhaps paranoid) we all are!
I still check too & panic!
In the LTTC thread we were/are all knicker checker addicts, I was going to the loo every 15 mins just to check!!!!
I always check the paper still now!!!!
Yep - 21 weeks and still checking!! (I also avoid red/brown/pink colours on loo paper now...)
With the pushing out baby when pooing issue, I had this bizarre dream when I had a bad cold that I blew my nose too hard and guess what came out there!!! It was NOT a good dream!
I think you'd have pretty bad cramping as a warning though if anything was going to happen...
i'll have to show DH this thread - he thinks i'm crazy and the only one who does it!!!
Ha ha! I am a habitual undie and loo paper checker too! Can't help it.
Oh and stay away from the environmentally friendly recycled non bleached paper - it has little red flecks in it sometimes. Scared the %$#@ out of me!!!
:lol::

i had to laugh at this, it is one of the reasons i have just recently changed to kleanex cottonelle's. well that and the fact they are so much softer.
Misty - don't use Cottonelle!! Our toilet got blocked up and the plumber took one look at it and said "You've been using cottonell haven't you?" He said he gets about 10 call-outs a week from peoples toilets blocked by it as it doesn't break down quickly enough... It cost us over $100 just for using softer paper!
I have been through that too. I think we all must get scared!
I felt like that well and truly even after 12 weeks. I think that up until you have bubs in your arms - you will feel some sort of fear.
im still checking and im 21 weeks now and probably will do so until i give birth :)
i though i was going mad too!!!! aren't we just far to paranoid???its kind of like OCD.
