Jadore
Gucci - Envy me
Lomani
Britney Spears - musk
Elizabeth Arden - 5th avenue
these are the ones i have atm
Mine are:
Vanilla Spray - The Body Shop (It is just like amist spray that lasts all day!! I love it!!!!!);
Baby Doll - Yves Saint Laurent;
Eternity - Calvin Klien;
And I wear this one to remind me of my dad who passed in 2001 -
Le Male - Jean Paul Gaultier.
I have only ever worn The Body Shop vanilla perfumed oil - I love it and I just don't know what i would do if they ever stopped making it LOL.
The common theme in all mine is a citrus note. Maybe people could kinda mention or describe a common theme in their fragrances if there is one...
I also love anything with a vanilla undercurrent.
ETA: oh and my DH wears Armani's Aqua Geo, Homme or Dior's Higher Energy all citrussy
I think im into alot of the fruiter smelling ones and musk type ones.
I used to wear the body shop vanilla oil and loved it but i dont know if they changed it but i cannot wear it anymore makes me fell sick at the smell of it :( i still have a whole big bottle
I couldn't go back to the Body Shop vanilla perfume either... it reminds me too much of my feral share house days of my early 20's LOL still like it but I worry that it might turn back my mental clock to my irresponsible days if I wore it...
New West by Aramis.......it is virtually impossible to get hold of these days but I can still manage to get it from the US occasionally.........
Top Notes: Bergamot, Ozonic notes, Hyacinth, Marigold (Tagete), Leaves (green), Basil, Oregano, Thyme, Melon
Heart Notes: Jasmine, Rose, Clove, Pimento (allspice), Plum
Base Notes: Patchouli, Sandalwood, Oakmoss, Amber
Currently, Be Delicious.
My favouritest ever one was one I bought for my sister when I was in Dublin and I have never seen it since. It was Versace Yellow Jeans. VERY citrusy!
I like my Donna Karan Cashmere in winter, when I want to feel sophisticated...not very often, though, I have to admit, cos I love the playful scents!
ETA: almost forgot, the original Moschino, with the Olive Oyle bottle, and the Moschino for men that came out at about the same time...
Oh no Blanchie! They did change it about 2 years ago. I used to love White Musk, but when I got preg with Beth it started smelling like cat pee and pepper. I still can't go near it.
Neroli Jasmine for day
Indian Gardenia for night - both from The Body Shop.
I used to be a perfume junkie till I found about most of them contain real musk - totally cruel and unacceptable.
Oooh, mine is Carolina Herrera Women. Soooo devine...
I can't go past Dior Addict and second favourite is Dolce Vita
I am also partial to Poison, Angel and Stella McCartney's one - can't think of its name but in a pink bottle.
I wonder how you can tell if your perfume has real musk in it?
Anais Anais by Cacharel
... closely followed by, umm, a few:
- Romance by Ralph Lauren
- Blue by Ralph Lauren
- Happy by Clinique
- Chanel #5 (in VERY small doses)
So mostly, I prefer the light, floral type fragrances. Chanel #5 is very a strong, oriental type fragrance - not my usual, but I do love it for romantic nights out, and never more than 1 spray or I end up trying to wash it off my skin as it's so overpowering.
eterninty
chanel #5
red
though cant bring myself to wear perfume since DD birth!!! so they mainly just sit there!
I have to admit that I didn't wear perfume (or even a fragranced deodorant) when DS was a newborn... I didn't want to interfere with things...and I don't wear it on my body whilst BFing... just a little behind my ears, well away from his sensitive little nostrils LOL
I'm in love with Kylie Minogue's frangrance, Darling... I know it's weird but it makes me feel so girly when I wear it!!! I love it!!
I don't wear perfume I wear oils.My fave would have to be Rose Patchouli and spiritual sky Night Queen and Amber Patchouli...Yum...
I love perfumes... great thread.
For dayuse I wear:
Cool Water by Davidoff
The Blue one by Bulgarri
Eternity by Calvin Klein
Red Jeans by Versace
and for nighttime I usually wear:
Yvresse by Yves St Laurant (used to be called Champagne years ago).
I dont like any perfumes that are too musky or spicy/oriental.
When i was young and reckless and met my DH i used to wear White Diamonds (elizabeth taylor)....even now, when i put it on, it brings back memories about the times we used to 'court'......its amazing how the sense of smell can do that......
I love SJP - 'LOVELY' too....
Im going to buy Baby Doll - Yves St L....... next pay day .....love perfume....
My dad for years has been wearing Blue Stratos (I can remember buying ot for him for fathers days/birthdays etc as a kid) and even tho it is one of the cheapest scents out there (I think Brut 33 may be cheaper lol) I think it smells like the best most expensive scent there is. :)
i cannot find an expensive (good qulality) perfume that i'm not allergic to! i have super sensitive skin
i wear haiku awakenings - it's by avon - not very strong, but really nice - i get compliments fairly often so it must be ok!
My faves are Spellbund by Estee Lauder and With Love by Hilary Duff....I also love but do not have Beyond Paradise and Britney Spears Fantasy.
I LOVE good smells, but have had a terrible time finding a lovely perfume that isn't "overpowering." Until now, I've just being using a light after-shower body spray. I think I've finally found a perfume that I love, though - Clinique Happy. I haven't bought it yet (waiting for a sale!) but my younger sister wears it, and every time I smell it, I love it! I've tried it on myself a few times at the store, and love the way I smell the whole rest of the day. :) So, next special occasion, or next time I'm feeling wealthy  I know what I'm getting!
how embarrassing-
i wear- body shop vanilla and sandalwood together- been doing this since i was 12!!!
and sometimes just some rose geranium essential oils.. reminds me of labour...
i once got given a bottle of poison and i love the smell of one called illuminate- dunno who makes it tho...
I have worn Clinique
Aromatics for years...
and Estee Lauder Youth Dew when I fancy a change.
The other I really like is Fendi - I wore this in my late teens/early twenties - brings back memories...
They are all quite oriental sandalwood is a theme that runs thru them all.
But Aromatics is "my" perfume. My friends all say when they smell it it reminds them of me so I must have been wearing it a loooong time!
I love fragrance - I adore it. I always have essential oils burning in our home or incense. I also sprinkle lavender essential oil on my kids pillows when I change the sheets...
I have never tried the body shops vanilla mist - but with so many people saying it is their favourite I guess I better check it out!!
My favourite perfumes in no particular order are
-Christian Dior Pure Poison (although I only have a sample bottle)
-Gucci Rush
-J-Lo
-Red Door Velvet - Think this is only new cause I only just tried it in Myer through the week, It is gorgeous and so not like the original Red Door.
Every time I wear the Vanilla mist, without fail, I get a compliment. The Neroli Jasmine comes in a mist too.
Bath, it's hard to tell about the musk, however most (esp french) perfumes do. The synthetic version is exactly the same as "real", but a hell of a lot cheaper and not aquired by cruel, unethical means. That's why I just use Body Shop as I know for sure.
Ralph here. In summer. I love it. Funny, cause that's the word I used to use instead of vomit :)
Don't tend to bother with any fragrances in winter... don't tend to bother with much in winter, LOL.
OK, my all time favourite that i've been wearing for years is Dolce Vita by Christian Dior - like Deb, my friends tell me this is 'my' fragrance and everytime they smell it it reminds them of me.
Second favourite would have to be Sui Love by Anna Sui - I brought this for my wedding and honeymoon because I wanted a different scent that would remind me specifically of that time - works a charm! Every time I wear it i'm back in Fiji on my honeymoon, young and in love!! LOL! I am a nut for butterflies (I had live butterfly displays as centrepieces at our wedding!!) so I admit the bottle is what caught my attention!
These two are what I wear to work or of an evening. Day to day I just wear the Dolce Vita spray mist or something lighter and cheaper, atm it's Fire & Ice Cool by Revlon.
In summer I love Ralph by Ralph Lauren or Aqua Di Gio by Christian Dior.
For DH I LOVE Dune for Men. I brought it for him years ago and I can't stand him wearing anything else now - it just smells like him!
OK girls, you've inspired me to go and buy some new perfume before I go on mat leave, I'm nearly out of everything!!
I sway between 3 fragrances, the common theme being that they are all not overpowering, are light, fresh and summery...and I wear them even in Winter :)
1. Ralph by Ralph Lauren
2. L'eau di Issey by Issey Miyake
3. Secret Wish by Anna Sui
I love
*Opium
*Orient
*Avon's tomorrow
*my hubbie's fave revlon's "fire and Ice"
Chanel - all the way
currently wearing
gardenia
chance
no 5
no 22
plus a couple of the limited release sents
have been wearing chanel since I was a teenager
Hubby bought me Hugo Woman and I love wearing it every day, it smells summery (even though its so cold outside!) and fresh and reminds me of the great USA!
Cool Water Woman
Beyond Paradise
Pleasures
Beautiful
Can't remember the others! I really like light florals and I love Estee Lauder.
Ok, I have a huge lot of perfumes, some I wear all the time. Other's only occassionally.
I love Chanel #5 that's an occassional one
Poem - Lancome - used to live in it. Gives me a headache now
Wish - Chopard - fav atm
Cool water - Davidoff
Jadore - Another fav atm
Baby Doll - thanks for the reminder, I love it and have worn it for a while
Ciara - Revlon, it's a concentrate so I have to spray it on a cotton ball first.
I'm another that won't wear perfume with a little bub. I don't think it's fair for them to cop a face full of perfume when I am nursing them. I am also fussy about family or friends nursing my babies if they have perfume on. Good friends already no it's not liked with my babies.
I wear Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea everyday, and i also have the Kylie Minogue one. I tend to wear the lighter fragrances, but when i was younger - my fave perfumes were Samsara and Amarige.
