I am keen to find out symbols etc that people have used or heard of when TTC etc. I love feng shui and have been very interested in the meanings etc. Our consultant recommend a Dragon by DH's bed and Elephants by our front door. Looking forward to see what other people have heard used or seen.
My MIL gave me a relic from St Gerard Majella (Patron Saint of Childbirth, Pregnant women and motherhood).
One of my best friends at work gave me a Hindu Goddess of Fertility (Sarasvati) -actually 2 - one for work, one for home. The other friend gave me a wooden statue of a pregnant lady with a hand on her belly (can't remember - famous statues at the moment).
I also have crystals.
Have they worked for either of you?
I didn't use anything in regards to objects but I did use a "Womb Meditation" I was given by a very good medium friend of mine, she is about 80 years old this women and looking at her you would think she was only about 50 years old. She gave this to me when I was at my witts end ttc my son Ashlen and within the next two cycles I was pregnant, it took two months of doing this meditation every day then I started doing it only every other day and walla! Did this with Phoenix our youngest too and feel not long after. Its all about getting the message to your womb and getting it ready for a growing baby. Really cool!!!

Re - has it worked - not for me yet, but I haven't given up!! (Then again TTC our way was always going to be a long process!)
The relic was used by my SIL with good results.
The fertility goddess actually was used in our staffroom. Two women fell pregnant, and when it was returned to the owner, her daughter started menstrating. Now it's with me.
I've given an African fertility goddess to a good friend of mine, and she conceived shortly afterwards.
I use the crystals to just get my body in balance for meditation - not sure if there is a crystal dedicated to conceiving...Soul do you know?
Also Soul, could you also PM me the meditation?
Maybe you should put that meditation in a thread in the conception forum soul? I think it's really beautiful and a lot of people would benefit from it!! Thankyou for sending it!!

I am in the process of creating a little alter for baby and have returned to my feng shui by what feels right apporach we almost have the living room done.

An Elephant prominantly dispayled is to bring male child luck

wow TL this is a great idea. when i did lots of traveling in my 20s, i came across lots of cultures that had fertility objects/symbols/gods etc but of course i wasn't interested back then so didn't show too much interest. the closest i can think of in our culture is the 'office chair' that all the women who sit in seem to get UTD pretty quickly. that hasn't worked for me to date ;)
the one fertility symbol that stuck with me was in ghana they have these wooden carved fertility dolls. they have a big round flat head, and are in a cross symbol. i have seen them in australia in african craft shops. there is some ceremony surrounding the doll that was important in ashanti/ghana culture but if you google ghana fertility dolls you should get some good results.
soul, i think that meditation would be wonderful to share if it is appropriate.

The 'flat-head' African goddess was the one I bought my friend all those years ago and it worked.
We also had the office corner for people falling pregnant...worked for another girl but not for me :(. I've moved offices now so we'll see what happens...

I have sent you all a copy of the meditation and I would prefere it if you did not put it on BB . This meditation was given to me from a lady very dear to my heart and I would not want it getting into the wrong hands, as in using it in a book, cd, dvd or anything that they could say is there own work! Is that ok and do you understand where I am coming from? I dont mean to sound selfish, I am so not that sort of person, but I also think I need to protect this with my promise to her.

Crystals that I know of that help with Fertility are Smoky qaurtz, Moonstone is excellent!
Red garnet - as it really helps the female reproductive energy too

TL there are many hindu gods/esses of fertility each with different connitations. i think their images and descriptions are very powerful and have been around a long long time.
Soul completly understand about the Mediataion.

I haven't really used fertility symbols... I kind of wonder if they'd work for us, considering we are a same-sex couple and bringing romance energy and male virility into the house isn't going to make much difference... so I haven't really looked at it much, except positive thoughts, and relaxation, though I'd like to know what specifically is good for female reproductive energy/health...?
Alisia, look at the post that I linked to just above, there are lots of other things you can try..... This little bubba was conceived with IVF & I still used my crystals & other bits n pieces. My bra was quite lumpy with herbs & crystals stashed in there every day ROFL!
I swear by Quan Yin - Chinese Goddess of fertility, I have one on my bed head and one in my handbag. Also carry a rose quartz to my transfers :)
