:cryinglaugh:
Hi Everyone,
To the new girls Ive just turned 31 and have two boys Zander and Wyatt, we moved here for my husbands work at easter time and dont have any family here and the only people I know are through this website!! It gets stressfull and sometimes I just want to pack it all up and go back to where my parents and all the help is!!
We wont be going anywhere tomorrow...will just spend the day at home..try and do something next thurs. Wyatt is still waking at night he seems to be in a routine of 1am/4am and 530am waking. He is not taking to the bottle or formula very well and will only eat rice cereal..he gags on potato/apple/pears etc....very high maintenance. Zander loves daycare and seems to be in terrible 2's mode already including bad tantrums.
I have enjoyed the rain..only downside is having to use the dryer!!! anyway take care everyone.....bye for now
Yeah, we;re staying in, how awesome is the rain? wow, ive been on this site alot lately.... maybe im starting to get abit of free time haha, glad your in a routine of sorts, brodie wakes at the same times, 1am, 4.30am and then up at about 5.30am. Sometimes he'll skip 1am but always up at half 5 am, usually I put him in bed with me til about 7am, he just babbles and stuff but its to early and im still way to tired hahaa..
Ive been having moments because my nanna is really sick and is in deep dementia from multiple strokes and bens family came and visited then his sister came up and it really makes you miss home. Guess thats where this site can be handy, meeting people in similar situations.
well i have a 8month old boy who is very grizzly and needs to go to bed but im trying to make him hang out til at least 7!
enjoy the rain!! i saw some kids playing in it today and thought if i had the time and energy would have gone out with my two eldest ones.
take care

Hi Girls!
WOW! We've finally made it to our 2'nd thread!!!!
Sorry I've been MIA a bit lately and have'nt been posting. My life has been rather busy with Doula stuff lately.
Just thought I would pop in and say hi!
We probably wont make it to the meauseum tomorrow as I have more Doula stuff on. Plus the girls are pretty crook with the flu and coughs!!
Welcome to Tanya! Did you come over from Huggies??? I am Sara. 24 y/o mum to Briley (2) and Colby (almost 1). Hope you like it here hun. We are a lovely bunch of women!
Well better hit the hay. Starting to get cold!
Night night ladies!
I will be at the Musuem tomorrow. Looking forward to it though I will probably get lost getting there. I am so bad at directions.
Tanya, I am sure you will do great for your P's. Agree with Emma that parallel parking is a pain. I still can't do it properly.
Emma, DS means darling son, DP is darling husband, DP is darling partner and DS is darling daughter.
Better go. I think something has died in Cooper's nappy.
:hello: good morning ladies, how are we all this morning? good here DS has just gone off to kindy and DD is chatting away in her cot so bottle time for her soon! I dont no how you ladies do the whole waking up 2-3 times a night! I have been pretty lucky both off my kidlets have pretty much slept all night since 6 weeks, we do have the odd "off" night were one will wake and im the crankest "*itch" when that happens ...so i take my hat off to you ladies! Sarah yes i am from huggies hehe, i beleive we have met b4 (online anyway)! Thanks for all the encouragement ladies with my P's, a couple of months ago the inlaws were here, and i was driving them around Father Inlaw needed to use to loo and we were on the strand near the rock pool and i remember freaking becuz it was reverse parking and ended up driving half way up the strand to find a spot to park and made him walk hehe! (lucky there not old).. I have a driving lesson today so i guess i better mention the whole parking thing, and that indicating crap around roundabouts..i dont get that :o..Well sorry ladies im already babbeling! Have a great morning every1, and thnks for being so welcoming , hopefuly one day i will get to meet you all ! Bye for now...xox
Ah, its been a little hard because Brodie used to sleep the whole night but after he has immunistations he gets really sick and throws everything out, we actually had a good night last night, he went to bed at 8pm slept til half 3 then up at half 6. So hopefully getting into a good sleeping routine again, Im trying to feed him up through the day to help fill him up. Rori has always been an amazing sleeper she'll sleep anywhere from 10 -12 hours. She's just sometimes a little difficult to get to sleep! But you cant win them all and like I said no 2 babies are the same...
Have fun with your lesson today, when I went for my p's i was in the middle of the sa desert on a 48degree day 7months preggas with my son with no air con in the car... lucky for me she was hot and didnt want to do it and just made me drive around the block!! So.. I never paralell park. Id rather walk!! Haha.
Well we are having a very quiet day at home. Im hoping to make it to the post office but not holding my breath.
Take care ladies and have fun at the muesum. It is quite good.
xx:D
Hi ladies - I dont know whether I really qualify for a Townsville mum as I live in Cloncurry. But I visit Townsville as much as I can - if you have ever been to Cloncurry you will know why!
Anyway - I am originally from Townsville. I lived there for 20 years before moving out here to be with my DH. I had my little baby girl 9 months ago and I had her in Townsville so I am hoping that gives me a little foot in the door anyway.
Have a great day/evening everyone!
MWAH
Hi Rebecca77. Clonclurry is close enough to Townsville for me, mainly because I have no idea how far away it is. Really not good with directions and distance. Welcome. Caitlyn is adorable, love the hat!
Cooper adored the museum. His favourite thing was coming down the walkway between level 1 and 2 LOL! We went past a group of school kids who were walking up who thought it was hysterical that Cooper was yelling "Wee" as we were walking down. He loved the buttons on the exhibits as well.
Hey,
Glad you had a great time at the muesum, its pretty cool there isnt it?? Very clever with some of the exhibits.
I have to agree, welcome Rebecca but I have no idea where cloncurry is either!!! It's all good the more the merrier! So where is cloncurry hahahaha??
we've had a boring day of nothing, im in for a **** ( sorry i had to put that there) night because my dd rori had a nap at 6pm on the sly and now is up ready to go, so no early night for me and im spewing. i like to be in bed by 9.. i think it will be 10 tonight.
Im of to the gym tomorrow to blow some steam!! Im still trying this get fit thing out.. its working slowly... I can do pushups now hahaha. Apart from that Im having a cruizy weekend with the kids and going to make home made chicken soup, whats everyones plans for the weekend??
take care
em
:D
Hi,
The museum sounds great..I wish I had enough energy to go out and spend the whole time running after Zander!!!We just bummed around at home today and I even had a catnap this morning while the boys had a nap....I should of been tidying/washing/cleaning etc but couldnt be bothered.
My Paediatrician has sent a referral off to the Ellen Barron Centre in Brisbane for me to go and stay with Wyatt..for those that havnt heard about it..its an all week stay-in facility fully staffed 24hrs with nurses and a paediatrician to try and help with sleeping/feeding/post natal issues etc you get 3 meals a day and its to try and help with any issue you may have. I stayed there when Wyatt was 7 weeks old but because he was so young it wasnt that successful so now that he is nearly 7mnths old Im hoping to get things sorted eg weaning and sleeping. Im waiting to hear back from them to find out when Im going..queensland health pay for you to fly down.
We are going to take Zander to lollipops this weekend for something to do..not much else is happening....bye for now
Nothing planned for this weekend other than swimming lessons for the little man and some shopping for me. Still have to pack the hospital/labour bag and Ian is starting to get really excited that it is not done yet. Don't know why LOL!
Nicola, I hope you get the details for the Centre in Bne ASAP. At least you had a nap today. There is nothing worse than not having enough sleep. The house doesn't matter in the slightest (as you could see from the state of my place except that it just laziness at the moment!). Is someone going to help Adam (it is Adam, isn't it?) with Zander while you are away or will he go with you? There was a program on ABC about a place in Sydney I think called Karitane or something. Seemed to be really effective. All the kids seemed to be over about 6 months old before they went there. It was really interesting and seemed to make a huge difference.
Good morning everyone and thanks for the welcome!!
For those who don't know - Cloncurry is 800km west of Townsville - so about a days drive. And next Saturday I will bemaking that drive!!
I see you guys were talking about the museum - I can only guess its the one near the Great Barrier Reef Wonderland. I love it there - havent been since before I moved out here in November 2006 but I loved it there. I think I am just a 31 year old kid sometimes though.
Well I am really glad that I am coming to Townsville as one of my dear friends has just had her baby just over a week ago and I cannot wait to meet her!! Seen photos and she is GORGEOUS!!! of course!
Anyway - am actually sitting at work doing this so I had better go and maybe do some work??
Have a great day all - MWAH
Good Morning Ladies how are we all this morning? I am not soo bad, isnt this rain nice? Tho a pain as i cant do my washing arghh! How was everyones weekend? Mine had really ****ty** moments, but then good. I took me son, nephew and our neighbours kids also we all went to lollipops it waS nice and the kids had a ball! Well i hope every1 has a great day..Tah Tah bye:p
Weekend was good as I now have everything for the hospital bag. Crap, still need to pack it though.
Am starting to get some back pain every now and then but it is not too bad. Am now hoping that bubs is overdue so Mum and Dad can look after Cooper during the labour. They arrive on the 9th August (one day after EDD).
Off to the Townsville Hospital within the next half hour or so. Cooper has the second half of his eye appointment. Hopefully we won't have to wait for the specialist for an hour and a half like last time. is it any wonder he got cranky? I mean, he is not yet 2 and our appointment was 90 mins late. Then we had the tests etc. He did so well then so am hoping he is as good today. Unfortunately he has not had his nap so that will be interesting. Better go and pack his bag.
Hi
Courtney hope all went well at the hospital....I think specialists everywhere make you wait, for Wyatts appointment we waited 2 hours and then still had to pay $350!!!
Miracles do happen....last night Wyatt slept the longest he ever has since being born nearly 7 months ago!!! The only problem was Zander has a cold and woke almost every hour during the night..he went from our bed to the sofa with me back to his bed etc all night..Wyatt slept through it all so Im hoping for a sleep tonight..its not to much to ask is it?????:dunno:
:hello: Good Morning Ladies... How are we all this morning? All ok here, Xav is having Brekky and Indy in her bouncer its only 8:30am and we have had a million tantrums already, those terrible twos! :wall: Hows everyone elses kidlets going today? Another miserable day, which means im not getting any closer to getting my washing done!
I no what ya mean about specialists arghh! When i was pregnant with Indy before they decide to bring on my labour i had to see a few doctors and specialists and i spent from 8am till about 1pm at the hospital and not one was on time arghh! Anyway ladies im off to try and tidy my house  i hope...Hope everyone had a great day Bye Bye
Hello everyone!! I totally missed the new thread!! For all those I haven't met, my name is Michelle, I am 28, and have 3 beautiful kiddies. We are bumming around the house today, the rain is like a sedative for me, could curl up in bed and read a good book, but have 2 lively littlies running rings around me!!!
Hellooo!
god ive been slack.. well busy too, im in the middle of trying to complete about 12 mini essays and its really frustrating...
im loving this weather, i know it can be slightly annoying for washing reasons but my dining room is now a chinese laundry.. i only wash the basics and put under the ceiling fan when we moved here we didnt think we needed to bring our dryer ( we were in a bigger house in sa and left heaps of crap there)
ive had a pretty good run with specialists, the most we have had to wait is maybe a hour, but i didnt mind the stand still to be honest. to just sit. for abit.
i have to run, i really hope everyone is going really well, i had twins in childcare yest and it was bliss!!! hubby home tomorrow so ill get more time to reply and stay in touch.
.. how wicked was it that terri won big bro??? for all the **** they gave her when she went in...
much love

hi
Wyatt has slept two nights in a row all night ...so fingers crossed for tonight!!!! I have had to use the dryer with the rain..with baby and toddler clothes/adams work clothes/towells/sheets you name it...things that can wait have been hung under the house and we will find them in a month or two....ha ha... anyway Im going to the toy sale at Target this thursday I have already picked out what Im getting from the online catalogue....was anything happening this week with mums group????
Didn't have anything planned for this Thursday but I'm free if anyone wants to meet. Probably with the weather, it would have to be Lollipops or somewhere under cover.
na im out this week ladies, got to much study that i have to get done and im going to national premmie morning with afew others friday morning at the ronald mcdonald house. be great to meet other mums of prems.
we do the kmart toy sale, exactly the same as target. get some good stuff, we always buy up big for xmas and gives us time to pay it off. have fun with the crowd, although i went to the big w one aswell and that wasnt so bad, not many there actually...
im lovin the rain, its awesome, reminds me of home. i just wash what i need to get me through.
Welp i best be of i have two babies that need to go to bed and only one of me.. bens home tomorrow night  cant wait. have a great week and weekend.. I will be!!
Hi,
My grandparents are visiting at the moment so I dont think we will be able to meet up with you guys tomorrow......by the looks of the weather I dont think I really want to drive anywhere..I went to pick Zander up from daycare this arvo and the roads through the city are flooding and greasy...Im not a fan of driving in the wet, mainly because Im scared of other crazy drivers and the stupid things they do in the wet
Yeah its getting pretty messy around the place, our backyard is starting to flood in parts. kids are outside trying to collect rain... i told them australia needs the rain so they are out there trying to save it!!!
im really excited, ive kept in bit hush coz i dont want to get ahead of myself but ben applied for a awesome job in groote eylandt ( a island 800kms of darwin) and its looking like he might get it... still might not theres one more interveiw to get through and a site visit ( they fly us out to have a look at the town, school and mine site) its just so exciting that we might be able to live together again full time, that he'll be home every night and the mula he'd make and we'd save is unreal. so please keep all your fingers crossed for us, this is a chance for me to get out of my own personal hell as i like to call it!!!
im still loving the rain, its awesome! getting a bit cold now though.... and i dont have many jumpers...
welp i best start getting organised to get ben from the airport...
lots of luff

Nicola, is Wyatt still sleeping through? Agree with you about drivers in the wet. Why do they think they need less space between the cars when its wet. Yesterday was very scary on the road and I didn't have to go far thankfully.
Emma, good luck to Ben with the job interview. The kids will love having daddy home every night and that would take a huge load off you as well.
Wyatt slept through 3 nights in a row...but we had to move him back to our room as my grandparents are in the spare room and he had a bad night...I think he needs to be in his own room. Zander had a bad night again also..I think because he is still stuffed up with a cold......hoping for sleep tonight..and yay the sun has come out :D
:hello: Ladies, How are we all going? Sorry i have been slack also with coming back on here and posting my son has hit those terrible twos really bad and im at my witts end and just dont no what im suppose to do with him anymore :wall:. Wasnt the rain beautiful?? Except now im snowed under with washing  we dont have a dryer or anywere we can hang clothes so ive got nappies/ kids clothes and DP's work clothes to wash arghh!! I went to the Target toysale yesterday and went a lil over bored :hooray:, but i always do at xmas time, i also went to the kmart one and put a resonable big one on there too! As well as a swing set at Toyworld. Whats everyone got planned for this weekend? Not much here, my car has gone in to the service center today the gear box has been slipping, think it needs a new one hope its back by this arvo tho, doubt it tho . Well im babbeling along alot so i better get going, sorry for the no personals i just couldnt remember what everyone said :(. OH my baby girl got her head and chest up last night, not long till shes crawling hehe ..
Bye Ladies xox
Hey,
Thats great about your baby girl, brodie is just about crawling.. in a weird shuffling way.. its very cute. rori though, well she's a princess so she rolls.... atm she is really sick i was up all night with her because she was throwing up, its really awful to watch a 9mnth old dry reach and look at you to try and help them... i was helpless. She's sleeping alot today so hopefully sleeps it off, im spewing though as i was supposed to be at national premmies day today at the ronald mcdonald house, not for us!
ben has his 2nd int for groot this arvo so fingers xd!
we're having a garage sale in afew weeks i cant wait to clear up the house of all the stuff we just dont need.
we always do the kmart one, i love it, its so easy to spend up. i went to both big w and kmart but just bought afew things as opposed to laybying.. our older 2 are getting bigger and we have decided to get them quads and bike gear for xmas.. figure be more useful and entertaining for them, their rooms are just chockas with toys and not tomention the 6 or so boxes in the garage i havent bothered to unpack yet....
we arent doing much on the weekend, theres a family fun day out here that we will probably walk down and check out but we've both got alot of study to do so i guess thats our weekend gone, prob have a few drinks tonight and chill out though..
hope everyone has a great weekend.
much luff
emm
Hey em thats no good about your little one being sick! Thats has to be one off the hardest things in the world i think, seing ur kids sick or hurt and upset and not being able to do anything about it!! When Xav was about 8 months old he got gastro and it was horrid he was constantly throwing up and pooing and i couldnt help! I hope it all goes soon!
Hi
Emma that sux about Rori throwing up etc Where did she get it from???? Was it daycare?? Zander still has a cold with runny nose and coughing it has been lingering for about 2 weeks now and seems to be worse when he gets home from daycare...he has been waking the last couple of nights all night....just as Wyatt has started sleeping more. Went to the Target Toy sale yesterday and got a couple of things for the boys and got Zanders 2nd b'day present for November. They have a few toys but it doesnt stop me buying more..I love spoiling them:loveshower: We dont have any plans for this weekend, we went for a drive to Ingham last sunday and had lunch at Lucinda. Anyway gope you all have a good weekend, bye for now
Hey Ladies, how are we all going? Hasnt it been bloody cold again, its driving me nuts and i seem to be wearing the same clothes all the time because i dont have much warm stuff, i think in the 20yrs off my life its never been this cold for so long here, its just crazy! Hows every1's kidlets? Mine are great Indy had her 4 month needles and that oral stuff yesterday she was so brave! Well hope every1 has a great day tah tah
Hello!
Yeah its been freezing, and like you i dont have much winter gear so im wearing the same stuff if i go out. i have to admit its nice wearing my uggies again!!
we're not doing much, ben flew out to work this morning, he has to work an extra day for training next week so he's away a extra day and night :( its getting so hard.
brodie is still recovering from being attacked by a tiny spider, he woke monday am with about 6 bites on his cheek and we couldnt work it out, he was throwing up and stuff monday and we thought it was roris gastro he had but i got him out yest and the spider came of his head after biting him another 4 times!!! so he's on meds again.. for something different.. he's always sick! rori is cutting a top tooth now so she'll have 3 very soon, and brodie has none but is crawling in a army shuffle way!! its way cool!!
im having a garage sale this weekend, i have a jolly jumper and music mat, baby bath ( the new fisher price one) bouncer, bottle warmer, a swing for sale if anyone wants dibs before the garage sale sat.. its all near new and in great condition... also got a car bed that needs a little tlc and a good clean ( callum put cars stickers all over it!) and a lounge suite which needs some tlc aswell if anyone is interested...
anyhow, i better start feeding the babies before all hell breaks loose and my routine today is thrown...
much luff ladies...
xx:lol:
Hi everyone!
Sounds like everyone is loving the cold haha!! I hate it, the kids love playing outside but with the wind I have been trying to keep them inside. Which is not only a challenge but also results in my house being destroyed!!
I haven't even been to the target toy sale yet!! It is prob over by now!! I always get caught cause my lovely daughters always change their minds on what they want by the time xmas rolls around, so I have a cupboard full of stuff they don't want!! So this year I have decided to wait. They have all had their b'days also, so no need to buy anything really!!!
Shame I am not having a bubba Emma, sounds like you have some great stuff for sale. I need to do a huge baby/toy clean out and have a garage sale also. The only thing I really want is a 2nd high chair for my Mum's house when my little man is there. Is hard trying to sit him on your lap to feed him food!!
Anyway, hope everyone is well, will try and pop in more often!
Hey em, good luck with the garage sale! And that sux that hubby has gone away again :(, anyway i just wanted to post a quick message and ask if any1 knows were i may be able to get a resonable good sized bautterfly cookie cutter, i checked spotlight yesterday and they only had small ones :wall:, and i need it by saturday?
What about the kitchen shop at Stockland (robins kitchen i think it is?) or house at castle town. I would ring them save driving everywhere! Or there is an awesome cake shop on tavern st, Janines cake art i think - great shop they have heaps of stuff. Good Luck!
hey thanks for the replies i didnt even think off the kitchen shops and i was in stokies yesterday arghh! But i was going to try janinies, just have to add that is an awesome place hehe she has done both off my kids naming day cakes and my mums wedding renewal one and they were all absolutly beautiful!! hehe
yeah, she did my wedding cake and it was awesome!! Hope you find your cutter!!
Hi ladies. Seems like everyone is enjoying the cold. I love it. Being a Melbourne girl, I feel right at home.
Emma, good luck with the garage sale.
Cooper had his pre-admission appointment at the hospital today for his surgery next week. They were only 20 minutes late. I was so excited. Am I strange?
Speedbump is still very happy where s/he is so is unlikely to be born soon. Even my GP is starting to think I will be overdue.
Good morning ladies, another cold one Brrrr...Bring on Summer!! How is everyone this morning? All good here a little tired am having some problems with DS, it started about a week ago his been funny at bed time, he will not sleep in his own bed it has to be mummys bed, and i dont no why!:dunno: And this morning when leaving for kindy (he goes with my mum and is always so excitted to see Nany) he kept crying for me! Something is wrong with him but im not sure what...has any1 had this?
