Very tender Hoo Haa
Yep, just as the title says. My Hoo Haa is till very very tender.
We have only managed an attempted dtd once since Abbey was born and she is 8 months old. It nearly killed me, my insides felt raw. Yes we used lube and tried to take it easy, but it made no difference. Felt like he was using a wire brush !!
Anyways, that was enough to put me off and he's got nothing since.
Jump forward to yesterday and my first AF since Abbey was born is beginning to make an appearance. I hate using pads so decided in my wisdom to use a tampon. BIG mistake.
Not only did it hurt going in, I could feel it the whole time. I ended up taking it out and the pain removing it was shocking. I was so close to just leaving the damn thing in there (I wouldn't, but ykwim).
I never tore when I gave birth. Atleast not that I know of. Does this happen to anyone else and why is it happening ? I cannot go on with my fanny feeling so damn sore if it gets touched.
One day it would be nice to have a sex life again.

I dont have an answer apart from OUCH!!!!!!!!!!
Hope things get better for you soon!!
Look at it this way at least u dont need to think of contraception!!
-
hun i think a trip to the dr might be in order.
you def should not be feeling anything like you are describing.
i hope you can get it sorted out fors yours (and DH ;) )sake
-
Feeb, DH just went for a vasectomy last week, so that's all taken care of. Told him he didn't need to as he wasn't getting any anyways ;)
Beatrix, yeah I know. I just know that she's going to want to touch and look and it bloody hurts !! Not like I can kick her if she hurts me. And how do you relax when you know it's gonna kill ?
-
Trish- my sister had a similar prob, (minus the birth)
I had to take her into the Dr for a examine and for them just to take a swab i had to pin her down. I hated doing it to her but something was def wrong and this was the only way to get answers.
any way turns out MAJOR thrush infection... double strngth AB for 2 weeks and some creme... all wad good
-
Poor love. I feel for both of you.
I don't think this is the case for me though. I have been like this the whole time and I have no discharge, itching etc whatsoever. I know the lack of lubrication it a hormonal thing, and I have tried the lube but nope.... still hurts.
-
OMG Trish. At least you have an excuse for not DTD - what's my excuse?? LOL.
Definitely get to the dr. The doc won't do an internal or anything will they? How sensitive is it? Can you sit? You might just have to clench those toes and let the doc have a look.
Is it possible to have an internal tear that didn't heal properly or something? I can't think of anything I've heard of that would make you so tender.
Hope you can get it sorted soon. *hug*

 Oh man. Ow. Perhaps go to a good dr with someone who can hold your hand, and treat yourself to something ace afterwards, like 'this is going to be uncomfy, but I'm earning myself a cd, or milkshake, or meal'.
Let us know how things end up going. Hugs again, I'd be terrified of going to the dr's too, but it sounds like it might be what you need to do.

I had the same problem after having Nikolaus..probably cause he was like a yo-yo crowning then going back up inbetween contractions.
I havent been able to use a tampoon since (that was 8 years ago) and sex...I fele like a virgin again cause it hurts still too.
maybe we used our pelvic floor muscles to much

GEt thee to the docs, bribe yourself (good idea!). Don't mess with the Ladygarden....
-
Thanks girls, and Yes Mums ;)
I promise I will go to the Dr's. Next week. Have to make sure the witch is gone properly first.
Maz, perhaps after all these kids I have worn my hoo haa out !! (love the allsorts hun)
Liz, your excuse is having 2 little kiddies, a baby and a toddler, who don't like sleep very much. That's the excuse I've been using for the past 3 years now ;)
-
Trish perhaps it is hormonal.
I remember my mum having issues and from memory used some kind of pessary and HRT. She went through menopause quite early though, starting at about 35. Not saying that is your problem but get it looked into to rule it out. Better than being in pain
-
Trish, could it be a slight prolapse? I have very similar issues (particularly the tampon thing) and was diagnosed with prolapse - especially common after vaginal births. I've discovered it's much more common that we realise (or ever talk about) with up to 50% of women who have had vaginal births having some sort of prolapse at some stage.
Good luck at the doctors hope it goes well.
-
Sounds horrible... no wonder you've been saying no to dtd. A doctors appointment is the only real advice I have for you. That said big  to you. The bribing yourself part afterwards with a reward sounds fun. Oh and my Dr always gets me to visualise being somewhere nice like an island resort or something while he gets down there... positive thoughts help relax a bit... just a thought.
-
Sam, I sure to hope it's not early menopause. I know my mum started early too.
Sophia, Ohh I'd never thought of that. Is there a way that I would know if this is the case ?
Curl, thanks a heap hun

i had problems for ages after DD was born, im talking uit was uncomftable for around 12 months after!! biggest thing that helped me was using a lube called SYLK instead of the normal KY, you can get ti from the supermarket/chemist etc..i have recommended it to several girls and all have commented on how good it is!! it sounds to be like a dryness issue! :dunno:
-
I too had alot of pain, Dr did a swab to check for infection, you don't necessarily have to have any discharge or itching to have some kind of infection. My bits were all clear, just needed more time.
Worth a trip to the Dr's and if all is good, then get yours hands on some of the SYLK AJP is talking about. ;)
-
-
It sure is, thanks Jols! ;) Give a it a go Trish, but definitely get it all checked out by your Dr.
-
Oh Trish I know your pain hon. My pain was from being stitched up twice and I still dtd with caution, although it is getting better. Like everyone else said go and see a doctor and if you aren't happy demand a refferal to a gyno.
Get better, we miss you in the Dec babies thread
-
Know the feeling had a dream birth but 6 months later everything still hurts
-
I'd be getting it checked out. I had an episiotomy & a tear that obviously required stitches and I was back to normal 3 weeks later. I don't think it should be giving you trouble that far down the track.

Hi Trish,
To answer your question a prolapse may cause a feeling of heaviness in the vagina or possibly some "bulging" in the front or back wall of the vagina. The doctor would certainly be able to tell if this was the case.
