I had mine packed from 30-33wks with Kameron. When it came to Lachlan I kept forgetting to do it. I still remember both mum and Kelly ;) telling me to pack my bag LMAO. It did get done in time though ;)
Love :smt049
LOL! I was waiting until I went into labour to pack so I'd have something to do! But then with quite a few BH's I mostly packed until induction day the first time around...
I Finished my shopping yesterday - new pjs, slippers etc and am packing tonight... Just to be sure!
I think it was 30-33 weeks it was kept by my bed and then when we put the cot up at 34 weeks we put it in the cot.
I packed my bag with Nicholas at the 33-36 weeks. I wanted to make sure I was all ready, but then he decided to come about 4 days past his EDD. I will try and have my bag packed by the 30 week mark this time too. :)

Nicholas 26/10/02
27-30 weeks!
I was well prepared!!
Jo
I thought I had it mostly packed at the 33week mark, but when I went into labour I realised there were still quite a few things to bring that I hadnt thought of before! (and considering I went through it every week to make sure I was prepared - yet still forgot essentials(!) I can only blame it on my stupid pregnancy brain...)
My MIL was horrorfied that I did not have one ready by 35 weeks ! You'd think after 10 grandchildren already she might know I wouldnt go on time.
I was spinning out that I did not have any button up nighties to wear - I had one normal tshirt nightie I thought I'd wear during labour and then toss it, but I ended up in a hospital gown and regular clothes the next day.
And I had a thing with having two bags - one with labour stuff and one with baby stuff for after. A tip for the after bag - pack an empty bag to take the extra stuff home in, or dirty clothes or things mid week.
barb.
I was a bit slack and didn't have a bag packed at all. At 38 weeks was told I would have to stay in hospital. The hospital was 200 klms away so I had to come home and get my clothes then a labour bag.
I was lucky that my employer had done up a huge box of baby things when i left so DH and I just grabbed stuff from it.
Nic
Mine has been packed since about 32-33 weeks. I am still adding stuff to it though!! I dont think I will ever accept that I am ready ;)
packed mine about 1 week before i went into labour as the midwife thought he was gunna go early, he was only 3 days early, which is still classed as full term :)

I started packing about a month ago but I finished yesterday when I was nearly 38 weeks.
Hello
I packed my bag at about 34 weeks but I didn't use anything that I had packed!!
Baby's heartrate was dropping with each contraction so I wasn't allowed to move around.
Even though I had CD's and oils etc - it didn't occur to me to use them - the only thing that I had was some lucozade (sp!) (energy drink) which I had after the birth. We took two for me but DH ended up drinking one (LOL)
Carmen
At 28 weeks because we had an awful feeling that DD was going to be early. (She was born at 39 weeks, so technically she was).
Just kept the bag upstairs in the bedroom, then for the last few weeks, downstairs near the door.

Even though I am planning on having this bub at home I still have to pack my bag JIC so I will probably do it around the 35 week mark or so. I think with the other boys I had it done alittle earlier especiall with my first,
another thing to remember to pack in your bags girls is your hairdrier. And no I'm not being vain, you use it to dry down there especially if you've had stictches.
Take care
Trish
Well I'm not sure about the first 3 but the 4th I had a show on the 1st Sep, and sent Arron down the street to buy stuff so I could pack the bag, had Jessica the next day. I was sure I would be late so I didn't bother. Arron kept telling me I shuld but I knew best...
Trish, did you have your other babies at home? I think you are very brave I couldn't cope with that and I would hate the mess. Good luck with it, hope it turns out the way you want it.
Cheers Michelle
Michelle. No this will be my first homebirth. I'm actually having the baby arond the corner at my mums house. It has more sentiment to us than a house we are renting. My mum is the biggest clean freak so I have no worries about hte cleanliness thing and the midwives are supposed to do most of the cleaning up too. My mum can get stains out of anything but just to be nice I bought some brown towels to use for delivery and such.
Take care
Trish
I just finished packing mine on Friday(day before I was due). Luckly I didn't go early!
I didn't get to pack mine! *WAAAH*
And I was 200 kms from home when I was hospitalised!
My wonderful Mum went to Target and bought me some LOVELY button up flanny nighties. Getting something in my size is always troublesome, and then she had to get bigger ones to fit my tummy... she bought the biggest ones she could get, but they were plain UGLY! One was blue with cows flying on clouds and said "MOOO" in pink on them. That one I will Never forget!
Maybe I'll get to pack one soon!
I was scheduled for a c/s on Mon so I planned to pack my bags on the w/e before to take my mind off the upcoming event. I was paranoid about not having a live birth and didn't even have a pram, cot in the house until we brough Nicola home!!
Anyway my waters broke on Sat morning, we didn't think it was my waters and were told to go to the hospital anyway. I thought I was just being nervious and misreading my body - because the waters didn't gush it was just like going to the toilet uncontrollably.
So when were told at the hospital that I was in labour and that c/s booked for 1pm - DH put my BAG together after Nicola was born!!!!
Labour bag all packed and ready to go as of last weekend - so that makes me 34 weeks.
im considering doing mine this weekend as I am just getting to uncomfortable to do much.
I am thinking I should pack my bag pretty soon , I have two weeks to go. Is my first , not sure when he/her will decide to come. :)
I don't know if this is a silly question but I will ask anyway. This is my first child and I have bought clothes which i assumed she would wear from when she was born. The size I purchased was 000 which says from 0-3 months so i thought this was fine, but now I find out there is 0000 size for newborns? My hospital says I need to bring 6 singlets and 6 jumpsuits in my labour bag, do I really need to go out and buy this many in the 0000 size?
Thanks :)
Packed my bag tonight - 35weeks, 5days
Don't forget your extra soft 3ply toilet paper girls! (I recommend Quilton)
I never used half the things in my bag, but that was one thing I didn't have, and had to send out for.
For my first pg was expecting to go early, coz of the twins, so had my bag packed at 25 weeks. went at 33. Second pg, had a long day trip, to see DH graduate, so had bags packed jic. bubs came, 5 days later. haven't started yet for this one (20weeks) but have started getting new toiletries etc. :D
Finalising the packing today - 38w4d. I've been putting the whole thing off a little..... After last night, I think I should get organised. I'm convinced I wont go early, but we shall see!
I'm not at all convinced I need CDs and essential oils. They sound plain irritating to me, and something I think I can live without. I think I'll be more interested in just getting through it all without too many distractions.

I think I packed at about 35 weeks for Angus, didn't need to for the 1st 2 born at home.
Trouble is I needed most of the stuff to be packed, so it was a big bag with a few things in it and a copy of the list on top. I love a good list or 7.
Hubby insisted I take a nightie for hospital, and we hunted high and low and found a hideous thing with enough buttons down the front for feeding. I never wore it, stayed naked from mid labour til time to go home.
Best thing I packed was my own soft tissues, & juice boxes. A good suggestion I've just heard is incontinence pads, so you can move around easily if your waters are leaking or you're peeing a thimblefull every few minutes.
I have just packed today for the one on the way, bit early, but I'm always early!!
I have just packed today at 35 weeks and 4 days. Did have all the bits and pieces for a few weeks just weren`t packed but are now.
Take Care

Well I unexpectedly gave birth at 28 weeks gestation, and didn't have a bag packed but - by strange coincidence - had been shopping the day before the drama started and purchased cosy new PJs and slippers for the hospital.....it was lovely to have them ready for my stay in hospital....
Moving to Poll Archive :)
Had bags packed at 30-33 weeks and we packed them in the car along with the camera everytime we went out, just incase. As it was I went at 37weeks and early in the morning so I had everything with me anyway.
Love
I packed mine at 12 weeks, had been caught out before #-o
Problem was that everytime we ran out of things they usually came out of the bag, so it was restocked quite a few times
I gave birth at 8 months, and packed my bag about a week before that thank god. I'm going to start packing for this one very soon, just need to find a good bag
I packed my labour bag 28 hours into my labour, then headed to the hoapital
My sis was all excited and came home at 5.30pm and i'd been in labour for over 24 hours, she said come on lets go to the hospital, i'll get your bag, lets go!!!!!!
I looked at her all pathetic and said "I haven't packed a bag :("
We went and packed a bag and headed to the hospital a few hours later. For me if i packed the bag it meant labour was really going to happen and i was terrified!
I half packed mine yesterday. So that would make it almost 37 weeks i guess.
I'll finish packing it sooish i think~~~~~need to do the washing first & i wear the pj's i want to take to the hossy.
I packed mine at 32 weeks.
The night before going into labour, I re-packed it, adding a few more things, which I ended up needing. Must have known I'd be needing them!
