Azz - sorry to hear about your BFN - big virtual hugs to you. I know another stim cycle must seem horrible to go through again...

Millymoo - don't lose hope yet.... maybe your levels will rise over the next few days... I know the waiting can be hard though...

As for me 12 days till testing - I don't know but I just have a feeling it's going to be a BFN. I know it's too early to tell anything now, but i just have a sense... Maybe i'm just trying not to get my hopes up too much. You know what is really funny - we've convinced our family's it's actually a 5WW... we told them that the scan (3 weeks after BFP test) was when we would know if it was a viable pregnancy so we would tell them then (we never actually told them that we wouldn't find out sooner... but that's what they've concluded!). Imagine having a 5WW! Argh!

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to let you know that Bel is in hospital with OHSS. She;s been in pain since EPU. Had transfer Monday and the pain got unbearable Thursday and was admitted. They gave her morphine to help with the pain.

I'm pleased to say her spririts are good although suffering poor thing. She tells me her tummy looks like she's 9mths pg as she is so full of fluid.

Just quietly, between you and me, I think she's a little bit (ok a lot) pg. She had 2 magnificent blasties put back Monday and the day implantation should have occurred - she got such massive pain. OHSS gets much worse as soon as pg.

Anyway, that's Dr Lulu's diagnosis - and I for one am :pray: it's true!!

No idea when she may come out because if she is pg, it can drag on for weeks. As long as they can keep the pain under control, we heartily agreed she will live with the fat tummy if she is pg...

So..just wanted to let you all know that she hasn't desserted you.

Hi LNB, FET are always good isn't it, especially when they are following your natural cycle? However I was so fustrated last month as I didn't ovulate and my cycle lasted for 46 days. It freaked me out cos I thought because of the stim cycle it has permanent stuff up my natural cycle. This month, it has gone back to normal so I am very pleased. The anticipation and wait is still killing me though.

afm: well i had bubsicle tfer on friday. 3 day embryo so now the TWW begins. i feel way more relaxed this time and not so negative as last time. the truth is i would love a BFP and third time lucky could be the one for me.:stork-girl:

i've got acupuncture booked on tue and my dh and i are organising a fun day for our anniversary which is a week after testing day, so i hope all this will keep me busy.

I'm a 1st time IVFer and TWWer with a 6 day emby hopefully hatching and attaching as we speak! Who would have thought I could join a club? Sorry if this message turns up somewhere unrelated but clearly I'm clueless.

I just wanted to try and join in, but anything could happen. I've reached a place (I'm sure you know it well) where I can't fit in any new information in my brain and learning to drive this site is more than I can manage today.

I don't know how to do a signature so a bit about me to begin, I'm 34, well 35 next week. DH (what the??) is 35 and we've been together 14 years.

It's great to read along with your posts so hopefully I'll have something to contribute sometime. Until then, I'll just enjoy the ride with you all.

if you read my post, you'll see I just joined but I've been reading for a while, sometimes with adrenaline through the night following everyones journeys. I'm sorry I just realised what that emoticon with angel was when I saw your mood was sad. My husband, looking over my shoulder one time debated it could be anything bad as it looked so happy. Now i see your 8 week angel and i understand. I feel really sad for you. Words don't do a lot to heal but knowing people care, like the ones on this site must help you to feel that you're not alone. I hope you don't feel alone this week although it will be undoubtedly tough.

Be patient with yourself and allow time to heal. I'm sure many will be thinking of you and wishing you well.

Now, I need some advice from more experienced TWWers... does it do your head in too? What do you do to manage? I was in tears a lot today just too emotional to do much. I'm thinking how early can I test??? I don't think I can handle this for another 11 days!

I think I have lost track since the new thread started...

Ruth08 - stay positive hun. I'm sure the days in the TWW are twice as long as any other day. Are you on any progest. treatment ? I was on Crinone in my last cycle and it was worse than any of the other drugs during the stim. I was moody and emotional the whole time, I cried at anything and everything, poor DH. Depending on what you are on, BT or HPT will be influenced by the hormones and may give you a false reading. Hope your new role goes well tomorrow.

Yvette - I agree, Crinone is evil. I am not on it this FET and it is so much better. I hope you are surviving with it.

Bel - big bugs and hope you are doing well and maybe out of hospital ?

Kahlan - hope all is well with you

Bel: Take care, OHSS is really scary. Hopefully you get a good result to make the pain & discomfort worth it.

AFM: BT this morning, so now just waiting for my phone call. Had a bit of spotting yesterday, but it went away and cramping most of last night and this morning with a little bit more spotting, so not feeling confident this is the cycle. Oh well, I have waited so long for the BT to come around, so hopefully only a few more hours until I know if it is a BFP or BFN.

Will keep you all updated on the result....

Hi lovely ladies,
I am back from Canberra after 4 days holiday (who goes to Canberra for a holiday? well it was my SIL's wedding). But not at all rested, DH and I had trouble on the double bed, and lots of running around for the wedding. At least the 4 days went by like a dream.

I caved in today and did POAS with a Lullaby Conceptions 10ml. I am 10dpo, it was a BFN. I was really hoping to be one of the lucky ones who gets an early positive. But I am sitting here holding no hope. I can't convince myself that there is still a chance, maybe if it had been a natural cycle and fertilisation could have been delayed and implantation could have been delayed, but no chance. I had 2 beautiful blasties transfered on Wed, surely implantation would have taken place by now, and there would be at least 10 ml of HCG in my system. I spoke with my clinic this morning, and asked to do my BT on Friday, so only 4 more sleeps. Anyway, enough about me and my negativity.

KellyD - good luck with you BT today, I hope it is the BFP you pray for, will be looking out for your results

LNB - only 9 sleeps to go, I am crossing my fingers for you and praying that this is the month for you

Ruth - as you can see from my post above, I have already started, and will keep going until BT day, I would rather do this than have blind hope, at least I feel like I am preparing myself, not that it will make the result and easier to bear. But I guess it is different for everyone. Hope you are staying positive!

Kahlan - Good luck with you FET today, sending you lots of sticky vibes and hoping the 29th brings you a fabulous BFP

Bel - I hope it is great news for you, sounds promising but so sorry for the OHSS, I hope it is the best result at the end, will look out for your news.

Well, the results are in and as anticipated it was a BFN. Bit bummed but hopefully AF will show her ugly head in the next couple of days.

The clinic girls are checking with my FS to see if I can do a new cycle straight away, so am now waiting for another phone call to see if we can do another FET in November. PO'd it didn't work this time, but at least we are lucky enough to have spares.

Good luck to the remaining girls in the TWW, I'll check in on you to see how you are all going and hopefully will be back again really soon.

Hi everyone and thank you for welcoming me. I already have my first sticky question after trawling the internet with no luck and realising the experts are those that go through this.

I'm on day 7 after my embryo transfer and today have light pink spotting (i guess it is). I'm taking crinone pessaries and applicators so I can't get a clear description. Is this the implantation spotting I hear about? I'm new at IVF but not at all new at TTC!

Hi KellyD, I am so sorry to hear that, I hope you are ok, and that AF arrives soon so you can move forward. I did my FETs back to back, so hopefully you can get started right away no problem. ruth: yes the TWW does your head in for sure !!!! :angry: i have never made it to test day without testing and i obsess about evrything my body is doing, in fact i am doing it right now as my breasts feel a little tingly. why do we do this to ourselves, i'll never know.
i do know i will be trying my hardest to not test early as i did this with 1st tfer and got a BFP then started af 4 days later, was so bad for me knowing i'd lost another one. hope you can be strong. :thumbsup:

KellyD - I am so sorry that you did not get the news you hoped for. It is hard just get lots of hugs from DH and fingers crossed for next time this is so painful for everyone.

Ruth - Hang in there. It is that halfway point where it starts to get you... so close yet it feels like months away.

Bel - I hope you get well soon and that you are suffering the pain of an eventual BFP or even two!!!

AFM - still waiting to do test tomorrow. Still no sign of AF, just a few twingy cramps. I thought this was supposed to be the two week wait not the two and a half week wait. I just hope tomorrow confrims one way or another.

Hi everyone...hoping to see some BFPs in here ! The TWW is tough...so hang in there everyone...I find acupuncture really good.

And thanks for the nice comments to me. I am taking one day at a time and dealing with it as best I can. It's hard to imagine being back in the TWW again right now...but I guess hopefully I will be soonish, once we've regrouped...and maybe we will have our forever baby soon.

Thanks for your thoughts girls, DH was probably more disappointed than I was as we had 1 transferred this time with at least something and this time our 2 gave us nothing.

At least AF has already arrived, and boy is she painful. I'm now just waiting for my clinic to call me back to see if we can go ahead with another FET straight away. Hopefully we can, or else it will not be until January which is just too far away to consider.

Possums: I hope you are taking care of yourself. It is so sad to get a BFN after the TWW, but to be in your position must be so hard to understand. I hope your little angel is looking out for your future bubs and becomes their 'Guardian Angel'.

Millymoo: Looking out for you, hope you are doing o.k and that things are promising.

Hi All

Well I am officially out of the game. My HCG came back as 7 so BFN for me. I am actually OK. I was petrified I was going to have to have a d&C so it is actually a relief in a small way. My progesterone is still really high so it will probably be another wek before the AF from hell arrives but hey ho (gees this is one expensive AF!!!).

Small glimmer of hope is that I got a little further with this one so fingers crossed number 4 will be the one..... I have no frosties so i will probably be trying just before Christmas.

so i would be day 28 on tue which would have been when af would have been due so if no af by then then i'll be testing next wednesday the 29th, i just can't last any longer than that. i am officially not supposed to test until the 1st and that would be a 18 embie, why do you have to wait that long anyway ?! :dunno:

Thanks fro your kind thoughts, I am feeling better now. Seeing the IVF doc next week to discuss the next step, however we have decided to try naturally in the meantime so that we feel like we are 'doing' something. Plus, you never know your luck in the big city! So may be back in the 2WW before too long;)

Oh Kelly, I am so sorry. I was off all day (DH wants me to relax) but I was very keen to find out your BT results. I like your positivity. After a number of years of TTC and 1 year of IVF I still cry every time I get a BFN. :hug: That goes for you to Milly :hug:

Murph, it really depends on what embie you had transfered, day 3 or day 5. It could be implantation or spotting caused by the crinone.

Possum, I am very saddened by your news, it must be heart breaking for you.

AFM: Had my transfer yesterday. The embie survived the thaw so we have 4 frosties left. I know I should not think about the next cycle but after one hard year, can't help preparing myself for the worse. I was suppose to have my transfer on Sunday but the clinic doesn't work on Sunday, so they thaw the embie on Monday morning... now that got me scared, wondering whether they had given the embie enough time to ensure that it would survive the thaw properly.... I am over working myself, ain't I? :rolleyes:

I agree with LNB that the TWW is definately longer than 14 days. A fortnight normally whizzed by! Well, I've got 1 week 2 days till I can test. I'm feeling some period like cramping at times but other than that no symptoms what so ever! Doh!

My new role is taking my mind off the TWW but in the pod next to me is a pregnant lady and she and her team talk about the coming baby ALL the time. Grrrrr.... It's like having a reminder every 30 mins - just in case you've let your mind drift onto work things - that's right you're in the TWW!

well i am feeling pre af today. i've got pimpes on my neck and chest and this is a pre af sign. :noaf:. i feel a litttle sad as i just don't feel pregnant. i've got 10 days til i am supposed to test but you all know i am only waiting a week if i get no af.

Hi everyone, just writing to say my TWW is over, AF arrived this afternoon with a vengence. I am 12dpo so a little early, but here non the less. I will be dropping out for the next few months, trying to work out if I will start back with another stim cycle in the New Year, or live it up until then and then work on my diet for a few months and start back in April.

I hope with all my heart that, by the time I am back, each and everyone one of you has moved on to the LTTTC and pregnancy threads, and that I see no familiar faces here. I wish you all the luck in the world for your longed for BFP. Hugs x

Well as for me ive been in hospital for 1 week with OHSS, im actually on a gate pass atm and the first thing i did when i got home was jump on here to catch up.
been pretty sick on a drip,on morphine,(i look 9 months preg) ive put on 7kg in fluid (so uncomfortable) not sure when i get to come home but im on the decrease now so that good.
well i could wait to tell u girls my news i got my :bfp: Im so excited!!!
so the wait continues to get to the 12 week mark

how's everyone holding up with tww? i'm excited and worried at the same time. i'll be back to work tomorrow, hopefully it keeps my mind off this tww a bit.

i'm feeling tired and my lower abdomen started to cramp after the transfer yesterday. not too bad, but it's there. i have started pregnyl too. just wondering if all these discomfort is because of the injection? i hope this is normal...

Baby dreamtime - sorry to hear you're out. You've really been through a lot emotionally and physically in the past 12 months. Maybe that break will help get yourself back on track again. Stay well and enjoy having your body and your hormones back!

Brooke - it looks like I'm the first on this thread to congratulate. I got goosegumps! What an amazing feeling after all you've been through. Excellent news. Take care of both of you.

Do you know what caused the OHSS cos I was sposed to have booster of prog. but went accupuncture instead as a bit sick and bloated and doctors concerned.

Curlygirl - I've made it to day 9 and it's the first day I've really felt okay since egg pickup so those pains and cramps stuck around and were constant but nothing I needed pain killers for. I guess everyone is different, but that's how it was for me. I'm 8 days more of an expert than you by the looks!

Kahlan- re your qn about the age of my emby. My emby was just a young pup at transfer, 2 days old (3 cells with perfect cleavage apparently...must take after their dad!). anyway spotting only happened on day 7 so far and clinic nurse is hoping it's doing the right thing. So damn fragile tho, bit like me right now.

To everyone else that i can't mention by name, it's a constant battering on every emotion going through all this. The worst is that you want to believe and hope, but then you have to prepare for reality and not let yourself fall too far or too hard. I really feel for all you girls that have been on this rollercoaster ride more than once and I hope to see good outcomes for everyone in here. Until then, it's fantastic to have this place to come and know I'm not alone.

For those of you that know the lovely Bel - unfortunately she is still in hospital with OHSS. She's having a pretty bad time poor thing and it makes me sad. She is being a trooper though and trying to soldier on with a brave face. They are doing another POAS tomorrow as will be 8 days after transfer so fingers crossed my predictions are right!!

Me - back in here yet again. I had a pretty disappointing EPU so am hoping the 2 surviving embies (2 day, 4 cell A grade) pull thru for me. The put them in early as were afraid I would have nothing left, if left to blastie I think.


So to all of your in here (and give me a little time to catch up) best of luck ladies. I know how hard this struggle is only too well...
