Baby Legs

I'm looking to make my own baby legs.

Does anyone have a pattern (sewn or knitted) or ideas on how to do it?

i make mine from ladies knee high socks....

I've just thought about doing this myself, so I bought a pair of ladies knee high socks & cut the feet off, but I'm not sure where to go from there. Should I hem or overlock them? But then I worry that they won't be stretchy anymore at the seam....

My dad knits using the knitting looms which provides a circular tube of knitted work. We are currently trialling some different ideas to see if we can get some of them to work like baby legs - but we have no baby to trial them on just yet...

I am thinking if I can get something that might work I might see if some people on BB would like to tell me how they work for them - but with the rate we are going at the moment with our collective ideas on what would work it may be that my baby gets here before we finalise the plans

If we do get some trial versions happening I will try to remember to post in this thread to see if anyone is interested.
