I have seen small felt pieces in the craft section of Spotlight, but I don't know if that is the only felt they have or if they have it on rolls with all the other fabric? I was thinking last night that I might be better off making small sacks too instead of stockings. I thought if I put handles on the sacks like a bag, they will be able to carry their stuff around easier because my girls especially tend to carry all their christmas stuff around with them LOL

ETA - I'm just looking at the catalogue online now and they have it on fabric rolls, so it will be somewhere with all the other fabric.

in our spotlight store it's up the back with all the leopard print/zebra print funky fabrics..and near all the interfacing. It's on huge rolls, so you shouldn't be able to miss it
Or if you have a local craft shop I picked up a pack of different coloured felt for about $8, there was 12 pieces in it.

Thanks guys. I did look around the fabric but DD kept running off so I was chasing her at the same time, not helpful! lol. Will have to go on the weekend on my own to get what I need I think!

I know! Spotlight isn't exactly designed for you to browse fabrics and take small children with you LOL.

My Spotlight has acrylic and wool felt on rolls. Definitely ask they should have a wide variety of colours.

Y'all are making me green with your ideas and already starting! Looking forward to this wedding greatly but also can't wait for some normality( is Christmas time normal!!!??)

ETA: For my ever-growing list - I want to make a bunting with Merry Christmas on it to string up in the house. Mmmmmm off to steal ideas from etsy.

FINISHED! I got it all done last night and uploaded the pics today. It is only very very simple, but I figured it doesn't need to be fancy? I think it still looks really good though. Christmas sewing 2010 | Facebook

Santa sacks are next on the list - decided to do one for our 4, plus another 5 for all the nieces and nephews. I can't start them til after I get to Spotlight in 2 weeks, but they wont take long to make.

I'm just looking at them now. I love that fabric! And did you sew the felt on or glue them on?

if you want some of the fabric i can go buy you some and post it up,
her name is blacket stitched on, the stars are normal stitching, the trees are glued on, as are the beads.
