Coolies, will have to get onto the sacks. I still have to do DS's jumpsuit
I want to make a few toys for the kids as well but I think that's a bit overambitious (sp?) when I'm only a third of the way through crocheting a blanket for my mum's present
GORGEOUS dress Sal!!!!! Cute model too!!!!! I have run out of puff right now - just so much going on I don't know how i will get everything done and sewing is taking a back seat. Boo hoo - I really want to make those dolls though so might have to squeeze time in somewhere. I also didn't bother lining mine, they will only get used the one time at Christmas each year so Im not worrying about it.

Oh wow Daydream, I love that dress!
MG, I didn't even use a pattern. I looked on the net for a free pattern so I could see what you had to do and found this https://www.fabshophop.com/downloads...ress_chop1.pdf and all it is is a rectangle of fabric, you sew up each side (doesn't say to do that but it would look odd with only one side seam) and then you cut out the armholes and neck part. It was so much simpler and easier than a pinny and I had it made within an hour. The pattern doesn't even have sizes, you just get a length of material that will be long enough and also wide enough to give them a bit of room. DD2 is 120cm tall and I think the dress length is 80cm and the width is about 40cm. The ribbon straps were 85cm long and once you thread them through, you try it on and work out how much gather you want at the neck, pin the ribbon in place and then stitch it in so it doesn't slip.
Dress looks great Daydream! Great job!
Such a yucky and wet afternoon here, so I am going to get started on one of THESE dolls that Tan put up a week or so ago! Have traced the pattern (I forgot to get ink for the printer again!!) so just need to cut it out and choose the fabric!
MG- I didn't use a pattern either when I made one for DD. Was so simple and quick. The link Trill put up looks good! Can't wait to see it!
DD that is AWESOME!!!!!!!!! DO you take orders?!
Trill, thanks for that! I will have a crack tomorrow night or Sat morning I think. You've given me a confidence boost!![]()

I've finally got the kids santa sacks finished. I'm not overly happy with their names as when I cut the letters out I didn't reverse them so they are actually back to front on their sacks. I couldn't redo them as I ran out of applique stuff. Login | Facebook - I don't know how to do the single word link (so computer illiterate).
I'm sad that I didn't get the advent calendar done with that is my goal for next year.
Oh darls they look gorgeous and don't stress about the letters!! Mine are crap on my calendar too but I figure they will do for now and i can change them next year, I haven't even put the kids names on their sacks yet. Awesome job sweety!!

Enchanted - I would spend my life looking at it too. You did a fabo job! Just a shame you can only show them off during christmas time.

Sal you are just too clever!! Your DS's cargo pants are just gorgeous. I would never have thought of making pants out of christmas material. And their sacks are great too!!
