Maz hon I still have Mateauz's sitting here waiting to post lol Yes I know, slack arse.
Get yourself some fabric dye from spotters etc. mix it up the way it says to lol
I use less water than suggested so the colours are brighter and more bold.
If Nikolaus wants rainbows then it's very simple to just squirt the colours over in stripes. Otherwise you can try tie dying etc.
I got osme of those little dye silver things from SL.....so make them up with the salt and put them in strips over the fabric......do I let it sit then??? DO i wash once dry??
Option 1
use wax (batik) & elastic bands (tie dye) to mark off sections. As in wrap parts of the material up in elastic bands, to stop the colour being "taken up". Same idea with wax. Like the "tie dyed" stuff you see around (YouTube - tie dyeing shirts). You layer the colours, so use a light colour as your base and dye the singlet in that colour, let it dry, bind up or wax bits you want to stay the base colour, use a 2nd colour, remove wax/elastic bands, let dry, do the same with subsequent colours. With batik you can use the painting option (YouTube - Batik Painting)
Option 2
drip dye. Same as above for the first layer of colour, then for the 2nd layer (a slightly darker colour) dunk the top into the depth you want that colour to be, then do the same with subsequent colours - allowing each layer to dry.
