Fabric Paint, Applique & Minky Fabric?

Hi ladies, just wondering if this would work... I'd like to put some printed fabric applique onto some minky fabric. They can be ironed onto fabric but I'm not sure if you can iron onto minky? If not I'd use some fabric glue and then use fabric paint around the edges to seal it instead of sewing around the edges. Would this all work?

ai'm not sure either would work as they'd only be attaching it to the 'fur' of the minky rather than the backing fabric. Therefore it would be really prone to peeling off easily as the fabric moves IYKWIM?

How hot do you need the iron to get them to stick? I wonder if the minky would melt?

Thanks so much for your replies. Kim I think you are right, the image would move around a little and Efjay I think the minky and the PUL underneath it would melt, iron on is not really an option. Maybe I could hand stitch? I will see what I think when they arrive.

Are you doing it to a nappy cut or an already made nappy?
