I made myself a purse, with the coolest retro fabric

I found this fabric in the op shop a while ago, and have been thinking about making a skirt from it. The skirt is made but looks a bit strange - I think I made a mistake, but I used some of the left overs to make a purse.

I made up my own pattern and used PVC on the outside to give it some protection and I am so happy with it It even has a zip and room for me to put my iphone in it.

My next challenge is to make a work bag that fits my big diary, purse and a small laptop... I just need to choose fabric to make it out of!

use lots and lots of tear away - or baking paper cause I didn't have any. I used the thin stuff too, so the thicker PVC would be horrible!

I was wondering what it's like too. I made a kids apron out of oilcloth the other day and it's terrible! It was really hard to pull through but didn't know about the baking paper trick.

ETA - I forgot to say how great it looks LOL! You did a really good job.
