I'm making my first SOCK MONKEY!

Have you made one before? How did it turn out?

I bought one for DD2 for her 1st birthday coming up it's adorable! And decided I want to have a go at making one myself so have started and I'm nearly there and it's looking cute but not as good as the monkey I bought of course (that lady has had more practise than me ) but still happy with it!! DD will love it.

I made a sock monkey out of an old pair of DH's bed socks lol. It was pretty ugly but my boys loved it until it fell apart

I have always wanted to make one, but I couldn't fathom hand stitching, so now I've got a shiny new sewing machine a sock monkey is near the top of my list (after dummy clip straps and happy birthday bunting)!!

Kimbles how do you make a dummy clip strap? I love sewing and I'm on the look out for new projects.

I bought some mitten clips online, ribbon to fit, and press/snap studs.

Plan is to sew the ends of the ribbon so they don't fray.

Then snap studs either end, so they are interchangeable on the clips, and to attach to the dummy, toys etc.

That's the plan, we'll see if it works!!
