Janome 6500 help?

My needle thread is tangling around the bobbin race - not the bobbin case (you with me?)

The bit under the case that spins around with each stitch. It gets caught up in there just picking up the thread. Will not sew at all, even if I manually pich the thread up.

Help! I have so much to do!! I've oiled it, cleaned it, tightened it! I have the hand book, but that doesn't even tell you how to oil it...there's nothing to help me

Anyone here have any idea's??

Hope this reply is not too late. The same thing happened to me, my machine is not 6500 though, but I couldn't work out what went wrong, so I rethreaded the machine and realised the thread had missed or come away from the piece which moved up and down, if that makes sense. Try rethreading through the machine again.
