Working on a pinafore I started for DD1 ages ago. Then making matching top and leggings to go underneath.

my sewing machine and piles of material! It really needs a tidy up but I have so many projects on the go atm (christmas presents) that I can't be bothered until I've finished!

Unfinished projects are- a patchwork bookmark I made for myself..all I have to do is hand stitch all around the edge, so simple but I haven't done it yet, and the bookmark keeps falling onto the floor
DD's christmas pinny- have to make a yo yo or bow or something to hide some messy patches near the straps because I did it wrong
A patchwork puppy- half of it is sewn up, the other half is in tiny little squares of fabric everywhere...might be lucky to have it finished by the time DD is 10
A calico pillowcase I was appliquing (by hand) funky coloured lizards onto. It was supposed to be for my little brother, but he's not so little now and I don't know if it will suit a 13 year old (although I reckon he'll be 20 by the time I have actually got around to finishing it!).

I hate to think what else is floating around underneath the piles of fabric, patterns, polyfill, an iron and two rolls of wrapping paper (?)

I have a broken sewing machine, loads of scraps of fabric for this birthing quilt I have to make and now I don't know how I am going to finish it!!
I also have 3 mtrs of PUL to make nappies but still haven't mastered the art of sewing elastic lol.
Maybe I need a teacher to sit at my table!

    Everything in the world!

    A stream of swimwear elastic
a BF-friendly top (which currently has nothing covering the boobs at all. So very BF friendly, just not very decency-friendly )
    A tray of bobbins
    A water bottle
    Overlocker and machine
Swiss voile left over from DH's bag for homebrew grains
Gorgeous fluffy blue fleece for a hat and booties
Yellow and white stripey jersey for a BF/maternity dress
Halloween costume (don't know where else to put it!)
Stack of terry towelling and microfleece
    Lint filter from washing machine.

Should keep me going for three weeks!

Nothing at the moment as I use my dining table as my sewing table. All my sewing stuff sits on/in the sideboard cupboard. I have 2 drawers full of fabric. I've been getting a pile out repeatedly this week trying to arrange it. It's pre-cut squares for a quilt I want to sew for DD. I've been trying to lay out the colours and patterns so it all looks nice. Just can't quite find the right combination yet. There's also a couple of small boxes of notions, patterns and scrap fabric.

I only cleaned my sewing area on Friday of last weekend because I had now room to do anything. So now everything is in it's box or in the draws or cupboards of the desks. I have 2 desks, one for my overlocker & one for my sewing machine (I got sick of having to move one over to use the other one).

On the sewing machine desk I have the machine, my sewing box (with needles, pins, chalk, scissors etc), my scissors & a seam ripper

On the overlocker desk I have the machine, a box of stamps & inks, some plastic draws from MIL that I haven't decided what to do with (they are A4 size) 4 or 5 patterns & various pieces of fabric that I had cut out then decided I didn't want to do that pattern anymore and a big bag of split peas (for bean bags)

I have just finished DD's Christmas dress which is hanging over the back of the dining chair & on the dining table I have a pattern for a jumpsuit (mechanic style) for DS & some Christmas material to make it with. But I can't start it because I have to wait for DF to finish my light box & i forgot to get fusible interfacing for the collar (not that I can find it at our spotlight)

lots of mess that needs to be sorted after moving my sewing upstairs to a different room! DD's toys share the same room and seem to have taken over my desk area!! Waiting for MS to clear so I can start feeling more human again to bother doing anything!!

Quite a few projects I want to get going soon..... skirt for DD, appliques to add to singlets for summer for DD, making felt buddies for DD, a few more pillowcase covers and a few other things I want to try!!!

given that my sewing table is the dining table it of course has yesterday's spotlight purchases on it!

luckily we only use two of the dining chairs so all manner of projects are "hiding" on the others.

Once it is washed there will be a new short pinny for DD - from beautiful yellow twill with ladybirds on it. I also have some great printed velour that I am going to make up into HUGE face wipes as I am still in awe as to where broccoli can end up

There is a half finished quilt sitting on one chair - DH wants to "approve" the final placement of the hexagons before I sew it all together - it's probably fair enough - he has a much better eye for colour than I do but it means that I need to catch him in the right mood.
