hi girls,
do we have time lines for the next book. it's out on loan at my library till april so i just wanted to know if i have enough time to wait for it.
I'm waiting for one that is meant to come in mid march also.
oh holly, that's so sweet but it's too much trouble for you.
i just had a look at another council library and it's back fr loan soon, so i will go get it.
thanks so so much again for offering, you are so kind. xoxoxoxxo
End of March finish.
I have a copy I can loan out too if anyone cant find it :)
Ooooh, I'm thinking of joining the group - just ordered a copy of Love in the time of cholera and read it early next week! (We did Kevin in my IRL book group and I found it too bad to read. Not the content, the writing style. Couldn't get into it at all. So will skip next month.)
I'll PM you with some choices, Freya. I like happy books, as a warning - I know most book clubs go for deep stuff but I just like books that make me happy.
(Your inbox is full, Freya - let me know when to send my choices!)
Prama - Honestly I don't mind at all!!!
I'm off to the post office today to check our PO box & send a few things off to my Dad that I bought him during the week ;)
That goes for everyone else as well - anyone wanting to borrow my copy just PM me with your address details probably before about 2pm ;)
LZ - 'Kevin' took me about the first 50 pages to get into the writing style (she was tough in the beginning) but glad I persisted as its one of the best books I've ever read. Definately not happy by any means though, so it may not have been worth it for you to keep reading for that reason I guess
Freya - Let me know when your inbox is free so I can send my suggestions as well :D
I managed to get through the first 100 pages but it wasn't good at all - but then I didn't really want to read that sort of book!
Just googled Kevin - I'm really looking forward to reading it. Off to the shops today so hopefully I'll find a copy.
I now have my copy and have managed to read a couple of pages. It's a different style of writing again. Very wordy?? :dunno: But even in the process of reserving it and picking it up i have had a number of comments on the book which makes me really interested to read it and complete it.
Gave up on LITTOC :wall: It's rare that i can't get into a book and find something in it that makes me want to read it but not this one...
I'm off to read...
What book are we doing now... something about Kevin....I could go back posts but I am too tired!! The first post still says LITTOC
Thanks!
We need to talk about Kevin is the name of this months bookclub book :)
do we have the timelines for Let's talk about kevin? I couldnt find it, sorry.
Hi guys...
Just wondering how i join the book club?
first week in April is kick off for discussion but unless you go read the discussion thread you could prob get away with finishing it in April.
Does everyone want a new book for April or just stick with WNTTAK?
Mrs Hendo - just grab a copy of this months BC book (We need to talk about Kevin is the title), read it and join in on discussions.
And for whomever still needed to pm me their 3 suggestions my pm box is open for business ;)
Is there any chance I could be a part of this? What's the next book? And when do we start reading it?
We havent started on Aprils book Liz and if you would like to offer 3 suggestions for our choices pm me soon!
Hows everyone going with WNTTAK? Anyone finished reading and ready to discuss?
Brilliant! Thanks Freya!
