I got the most basic model kindle from Amazon $118 AUD with postage.

So I'm finished book 5 now. That last 100pages - Wow! So many twists I wasn't expecting. Looking back I probably should have expected some of them but I was too tired to notice! So many questions left unanswered. I hope the next book is not too long coming.

Brought it today & only costed me $11 It was worth waiting for the paperback!
I hope you enjoy book 5 Cheshire

Is it on pay tv? I bought the dvd's so I'm hoping to watch it soon. I can't until my birthday. only 3.5 weeks to go!

Cheshire, it funny you say that about Reek because I keep thinking about that too even though I finished it a couple weeks ago now. Occasionally I even think it about other short names too lol!

Ive just started the series this week I'm using the Kindle app on my iPhone/iPad as DH has a Kindle and I can use his account. I'm part way through book 2 (DH downloaded the first 4 books as a set) and also bout Season One of the TV series on DVD today. I'm not sure how I'll go with the DVDs though, might be too violent for me.

I'm loving the books so far. Arya, Jon, Sam, Bran and Tyrion are my favourite characters. I'm just up to the part where Catelyn is meeting with Stannis and Renly. I love series I am quite a fast reader and hate that I finish books too quickly and have to say goodbye to all be characters. That's certainly not an issue with these books though! I also read while feeding at night so reading on my phone is perfect. They are so enthralling though that not much housework is getting done.

I've just started book 1 again. I bought Dance of Dragons but had forgotten some stuff, so I started on book 3 because Dance chronologically begins after that. But I'd forgotten bits agian. So now I have to start from the beginning so I can keep track of everyone.

My favourite character is Arya. I don't think she's in Dance, so that means waiting for another book. I am such a series junkie. At least George Martin writes. I once waited 12 years for a sequel. I wouldn't want to do that here.

I haven't watched the show yet. I want to finish Dance first. I can't remember if it's book 5 or 6.

Unfortunately, we're moving house this month and DH has packed the books, except book 1. At least I'll get something done, rather than just reading.

L&B Arya is in Book 5(dance) but she goes under a different name & only has short parts
    Good Luck with your move.

Thankfully I borrowed all the books from a friend just after #5 came out, so re-read them all recently. Awesome series! Can't wait for the next one, but of course George will make us wait. What's the etiquette with spoilers in here? Is there a certain point you assume people have read up to?

Can't believe they found someone who looks like Brienne! I like her And I'm starting to like Ser Jaime too. Lots of explanation given.

Amaunet: Forget the housework! It can wait.

Only two more weeks until I can start watching the DVD's. Can't wait. I'm tempted to sneak them out of the cupboard but I reckon DH might notice if I do that This is the first birthday I've actually looked forward to in years

    I love the TV series.
S1 follows Book 1 very closely, so far S2 is more rushed but i think it's because they have a lot more to fit in, but it's still the same storyline.

On another note i'm getting a Kindle for mothers day. i'm tossing up between the basic model or the touch 3g.

I decided on the basic one. I figured I would just be using it for reading so didn't need any fancy features.
