Yep, been getting it for a year or so now, and I love it!!!
I have not had a product I don't like yet, and they are extending the list all the time.
I'm still a bit of a kid about opening the door to find it all there for me lol!
Anyone use this? My mum has just organised it, and I think it sounds good. I'm waiting to see what the products are like first though.
So, what do you think? Is the food good, are they reliable? I've researched the pricing thing, and I think I would come out about the same, some things are cheaper, some more exy. But I like the idea of buying Aussie, and having it delivered to my door. Will save me that extra supermarket trip to buy milk and bread LOL!

I get the bread & milk delivery twice a week and get - milk, bread, free range eggs, cheese & orange juice. I also get a fruit & veg box once a week. I love it. The light tasty cheese is great value and the best light tasty I have had for a long time. Everything else is very high quality. And they have never missed a delivery.
The only thing with the fruit & veg is that you get what you are given and that is whatever is in season. I like this aspect as I know I am dealing with only fresh food and only local produce. I also forces me to be a bit creative. I do find that I have to get a few things from the grocer to supplement but it still works out cheaper. Plus the produce lasts so much longer because it is fresh to begin with.
Yep we're using it.
I like it - it does work out a bit dearer but for me the convenience factor of never running out of milk and bread kind of outstrips that![]()
The fruit and vege box is fantastic - everything we've had has been absolutely top notch quality - fresh, crisp and straight from the markets. The fruit is always sweet and the kids love it and eat the lot. Much better than the crappy fruit and veg we always seem to get at the supermarket, it's sooo hit and missI also agree with Nai that it forces you to be creative with your cooking to use stuff up - we're finding that we're eating a wider variety of foods, things I wouldn't normally bother buying so that's good.
Very reliable too. We're really happy with it.
Just started getting this to. Bread milk bacon, cheese and the fruit box. The drawback it not being able to exclude items. Wanted to get the vegies box but am allergic to mushrooms and they could not exclude them. I could get vegies if I wanted to check on web site each week but don't seem to get time so just stick with fruit. It is always fresh last longer and my DD loves it.
jmmum, we often swap items with others eg. a friend around the corner doesn't like capsicum but I do so she gives me hers. I don't like red grapes but my step-father does so I give them to him. It all works out in the end![]()
A bit of not so good feedback here. We were getting bread, milk, cheese, eggs, fruit and veges but had issues like.
* Full fat cheese when we ordered low fat.
* White bread when we ordered wholemeal.
* Milk left out on the porch in the full sun (when the cooler bag was out there) and being warm by the time I got it and having to throw it out.
* Items missing (like no eggs) and still being charged.
* And the cooler bag constantly not being zipped up despite me even leaving notes for the delivery person so food was always going warm.
I called on countless ocassions and was constantly reassured that it wouldn't happen again but it didn't get any better so I cancelled all our orders.
What I will say it that the quality of the products was great and if it wasn't for all the issues we had I'd still be getting deliveries.
It may just be our area though but I thought I'd let you know just so you can keep an eye on your orders if you decide to go ahead.
More than likely it was the driver Spring - I remember when we got a new one and Dp nearly murdered him when he tried to come in the back gate instead of the front....
Why does your stuff get warm? Ours is delivered at 3.30am!
i wish i could get it. I just checked the website and they still dont deliver to my area![]()
If I had to choose online what I wanted I would probably just go to the market (I have 2 close by) as it is the time saving factor that is the big thing. Plus I like the fact that they only deliver what's in season. If I am choosing I don't really know these things (I'm not that well versed on what's in season when). Once I go on maternity leave and stop work I'll probably cancel the fruit & veg delivery and go back to going to the market and see if there is any difference in price and quality.
Being vegetarian the meat thing doesn't really appealBut DP will get his meat from the Vic Market if he wants it as he works just up the road from it.
Yep, we get milk and bread delivered and it's great! We used to get the fruit and veg but unfortunately because you don't get to itemise what you want, we often got too much of what we don't usually eat and not enough of what we eat a lot of, so we ended up going shopping anyway!
I have no idea about price comparison, but I don't think it's neither here nor there... but it's so convenient and fresh!!
jmmum, if you're in melbourne give Fruitastic a try (should come up if you google them). They are the same price as Aussie farmers, but they let you exclude items (e.g. I am growing carrots, so we don't get them delivered any more).

Country Harvest delivers to western suburbs of melbourne and a few more and also some parts of country victoria
i'm thinking of doing this when bub #2 comes?? is it more exp?
We recently started getting the fruit and veg box (as well as using coles online for groceries, so I don't do any food shopping with kids!) and it's good in that as Nai says, it forces you to get creative - the fruit disappears pretty quickly with kids, but you know you have to use much of the vegies up by the next delivery, so our meals are very vegie filled!
thanks nelle!!
im thinking of ordering the fruit and vegies from Aussie farmers direct, are they still good?? is it worth while?? what are the vegies like from coles/safeway online like??
I've used it for about 2 years on and off. Been unhappy with my delivery this week - tried some of their ham and the seal of the pack was opened. The cauliflower also had white fluffy mould on itFeel like their quality is slipping, have also had one carton of milk go off sooner than the due date. But they used to be really good. Love their apple juice.
