AJp i have done this many a time - except i did it when boling dummies and forgot.
So i had steamed melted plastic in the bottom of the pan.

Our pans are expensive so i wasnt going to throw them out (200+ each).
So i would soak in vinegar and boiling water between numerous washes or dish washer cycles.

The smell went eventually and you wouldnt know it ever happened

    xx

If you can't get it off, put some washing powder (clothes washing powder) in the pan, and leave it over night with some warm water. In the morning it will rinse off, just make sure you wash it thoroughly before use

Or you could try Gumption, available in all good supermarkets. White tub, green writing, yellow lid. I don't have shares in it, promise LOL
