Here's one for choc chip cookies....I made them yesterday....very yummy

    225g butter softened
    1/2 cup sugar
    1/4 cup condensed milk
    2 cups plain flour
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    3/4 cup choc bits

Preheat oven 190 degrees. Grease baking trays.
Cream butter & sugar. Add condensed milk. Cream until mix is light & fluffy.
Sift flour & baking powder into mix, add choc bits and mix together.

Roll tablespoons of mix into balls and place on oven tray. Flatten with a spoon. You might want to change this step to use those cookie cutters - roll up more of the mix and flatten out so your DD can use the cutters to make the shapes.

Bake for 15 mins or until cookies are golden brown.

    Have fun!

If you're using cutters, gingerbread is a good one. (BTW, did she get the Aldi ones? That was a GREAT deal!)

    Gingerbread

    125g unsalted butter
    1/2 C sugar
    1 egg yolk
    2 1/2 C plain flour
    1 small tsp bicarb. soda
    3 tsp ground ginger
    4 (generous)T golden syrup

Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolk and beat well. Gradually add sifted dry ingredients and warmed golden syrup. Mix well and knead lightly.
Roll out and cut into shapes.
Bake in slow-moderate oven (mine is about 165 deg C) for 10-15 mins.

Of course it is also fun to decorate them afterwards with icing and sultanas and M&Ms...
    Enjoy!!!

Hey Amy they are the Aldi ones ... i remember someone here on BB mentioning them when they were in the shop but at the time i thought where am i gonna put such a big tub of cookie cutters as my kitchen is small, limited with cupboard spare ... luckily DD is only 3 & hopefully won't work it out i have condensed them down to the ones she & i love ... and will give the rest away to someone else on BB ... so i will put a thread on the FREEBIE section if anyone is interested in them SOON and i will list what shapes, etc that they are (no charge for postage)

... Also Amy do you think i could make your Ginger recipe with usual salted butter or marg ??? I usually get unsalted butter but picked up the wrong one today. And is that Tablespoons for the Golden Syrup ??? (oooh, i LOVE that stuff) ... Thanks a million

Yes, salted will be fine and yes, that's tablespoons
Does your DD like doing craft? You could maybe use some of the other cutters for paint stamping or playdoh...

... Amy you are gonna laugh i have already thrown some in her playdough container (of all things to do with playdough) so i'm doing my best to cut the 100 down to enough to fit in a kitchen drawer, LOL

... and I'm off to make the Ginger cookies, late i know but DD has been begging me over a day now ... looks like she might have some as a special dessert & DP will come home confused to the house smelling of sweet baking instead of savoury dinner

AJP ... you must have esp as DD has them spread out all over the kitchen floor as i write ... thankfully it's not the entire 100 cutters as i have a heap put aside.

... yeh, i'm a huge fan of the Taste site & i got lazy looking through so decided i would give my lovely fellow BB member Amy (Snacks) Ginger one's a go ... and boy am i glad i did they are just yummy (um, even the cookie dough ... hee hee) ... so, THANKS again Amy xOx ... We are going around the corner to my DD's G8-G8-Uncle Leo's (his 91) tomorrow to take him some too, he will LOVE 'em i'm sure

I let Erin and Riley use their cutters on sheets of ready made puf pastry then they sprinkle it with sugar and bake (lazy I know but they have fun)

    Thumbs up

ah, MrsMac now that's a brilliant idea cause i think that's all DD really needs as it's more the fun of making it & she's not really fussed by what it tastes like cooled down after out of the oven as cause SHE made it she thinks it tastes fantastic anyway, LOL
