    Cooking popcorn on the stove???

Since I can remember I have always had one of those air-popped popcorn machines. That died a while ago, so I now make popcorn on the stove.

I was wondering if you can pop it without oil in a good non-stick pan? Or do you always have to use oil if popping on the stove?

    Thanks in advance

I cant do it I always burn it! lol

But DH ALWAYS uses oil when he does it, so I think yes....how deep is your non stick pan though? It needs the height to pop properly doesnt it?

I've found you can get away with a bit of spray oil as long as you shake the bejeesus out of the pan while it's popping to make sure you don't burn the ones at the bottom. HTH

You can do it in a brown paper lunch bag in the microwave - just put the kernels in and fold the top over. I can't remember how long to do it for though sorry!
