    Creamy onion and potatoe bake

This is simple but everyone in my house love it so thought I would share anwyays

    Creamy onion and potatoe bake

    3-4x large brushed potatoes
    6-8 slices sliced cheese
    1 large onion in rings
    1x carton thickened cream
    crushed Garlic ~ optional

Peel potatoes and cut into thinish slices like cutting a tomatoe. (can boil potatoes to cook halfway through and then slice when cold) . Cut onion same way into large rings. Place first layer of potatoe into a casserole dish and throw on some onion rings over potatoe, garlic too if using it and cut slice cheese in half or into triangles and place over that layer, usually about 2 slices of cheese will do each layer, then repeat layer which is potatoe, onion, garlic and slice cheese. Continue to repeat this all the way to the top of the casserole dish. ON the top put your last lot of cheese down and then get the cream and pour it right over the top of it all, make sure to stick a fork or knife down the sides of the layers to the cream can run right down to the bottom. Place into a hot oven on about 150 degrees for about an hour and half or until the potatoe is soft to put a knife right through it and cream is boiling. Take out when cooked but leave alone till cooled down a bit as the cream and cheese thicken more and more as it gets cooler.

Some people put chopped bacon on top, but its too salty for me.

Its quick simple and yummy and can have with meat and vegies or salad and chops

I don't use the cheese or onion with the french onion soup mix Storm but you could adapt it any way you like.
