    Garlic Chives

On Fresh yesterday they made Chicken sausage rolls, I saw the start of the segment but that was it. I've just looked up the recipe and it has garlic chives in it. Can anyone tell me whether this is chives or a special variety and if so where can you get garlic chives or is there an alternative?

They are a special type of chive that tastes more like garlic, but milder. Sometimes you can get them at fruit & veg shops or the bigger supermarkets or asian grocers (they're quite common in asian cooking I believe).
I suppose if you can't get them, I would replace them with a tiny bit of garlic (not too much).

I find garlic chives to be over the top personally... I always use 1/4 of what I'm supposed to. Usually I use fresh chives and 1/2 tsp garlic to compensate because I prefer those flavours. HTH!
