Ok here's my problem I CANT cook and now kindy has gone and asked for a recipe for there recipe book I was just going to do nothing but yesterday DD1 had to make her picture page for her recipe so now I feel I have to give her something to go in there....
The only things I can cook is things out of a packet or a jar, somehow I dont think this is what they want....
So if anyone has a nice simple recipe that would be good for a kindy cook book that I can clame as my very own I would be very greatful....
The yummyer the better I dont care if its sweets or dinner just something that will make me look good
which would be anything compare to "Get a jar from your pantry ..."
I've got a truckload of easy recipes.... I don't have jars of things here, as we were on a preservative free and colour free kick a year ago & I got rid of them all, I haven't been back. Some of my recipes aren't easy but I do have some that are for DH & no brainer nights....
Chicken & Seseme stir fry
1 tbsp oil.... I prefer using seseme oil but you can use vegetable oil
1 clove garlic crushed
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp grated ginger (you can buy a jar of minced ginger...)
1 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
1 tbsp seseme seeds
2 shallots chopped
1 celery stick chopped
2 carrots chopped
1/2 capsicum chopped
2 chicken breasts sliced thinly
1 cup mung bean sprouts and/or 1/4 cabbage sliced thinly (leaving out the core)
Heat oil in wok or large fry pan. Cook the chicken until browned, remove chicken. Put carrot and celery and shallots in the pan & cook for 1 minute, add capsicum, seseme seeds and cook for another 2 minutes, add chicken back in and all spice/sauces and cook for another minute or two, add sprouts and/or cabbage, cook until the cabbage wilts and remove. Serve with steamed rice.
We have just been told that my DS might have a behaviour problems maybe ADD and he is starting the test soon ( I dont really think he has but if the teacher said so what are you too do...) anyway if he does I might be needing your book of none jar food recipes, I am a SAHM so with two at school next year will have plenty of time to work on my cooking skills....
