Question Help please! Corned silverside question

It might sound like a silly question, I don't know....hoping someone can help me, as this is dinner tonight

Usually when i cook silverside I bring it to the boil then drain it & fill the pot with fresh water, onion, carrot, vinegar & a pinch of brown sugar. Works well.

But tonight I have put it on at 4:00 & it has only just come to the boil - at 5:30.
I don't have time to drain it & boil more water if that's how long it will take!

Does anyone know if it will be ok anyway?
I know it's probably a silly question but I don't want to muck with what works, you know?

    TIA

never cooked it myself, but you could always drain it and add boiled water from the kettle? if that makes it more to what you usually do

    Thanks ladies

I made it without draining the water & it was fine...just like normal.
