my fav when i was little is peanut butter, honey, strawberry jam, vegimite all on individual slices the squished together!!! its good believe me!!!

peanut butter and hiney is still good tho, and vegimite and kraft cheese.

when we go for picnics or somethign tho, i go down to the local deli and get fresh ham and salami and al the trimings like roasted capsicim ans sundried tomatoes, olives etc, get fresh crunchy bread rolls, tuna slices and all freah salad, laythem all on a platter and let everybody experiment witht heir own combination. its amazing what you think up with all the goodies in front of you!!

i go by smell, if it smells great it will taste great!!

Try adding Falafel balls - you can make them from packets (found in the health food section of the supermarket). They are healthy too - chick peas.

If you're after something moreso in the toasted variety i can recommend,

    Satay chicken toasted s/w...
Leftovers from a meal often make excellent toastie fillings.

    Also a toasted favourite is:
Dolmio sauce spread on the one side of the bread
    Cheese, Mushroom, Capsicum, Onion
And depending what you like, salami or ham works really well.

Oh and a favouirte from an old cafe back home used to charge $10 for a toasted sandwich,

Plain tuna, mixed with mayo and spring onions. It's really delish.
Also works well as a plain sandwich, on toast, as a volauvent filling for party fillers. Vv versatile.
