Our cupboards are looking a bit bare atm (in need of grocery shopping). So I made this for lunch... and it was sooo good. (full of preservatives... but you use what you have when you have nothing LOL)
2 minute noodles
Sandwich Tuna
Chili Oil
Kecap Manis
Fish Sauce
Garlic Powder (fresh if you have it I didn't)
Onion Powder (fresh if you have it once again)
Fresh Parsley
Fresh Chives (I would have used fried shallots but I can't find them!)
1 Egg
Cook the noodles without the sachet. Then drain. Fry in a skillet with chili oil to taste. Add sachet, a few splashes of Kecap Manis, fish sauce, garlic & onion powder (fry up fresh garlic/onion first if you have it), add tuna and toss, add a whisked egg and stir around, and then toss through the chopped herbs.
It had that real Kway Teow texture and taste. And it was AWESOME. And all from the cupboard. If I could have been bothered I would have crushed some dry chili's to put on top but I was being QUICK!
