OMG I think I pulled it off!!

I have been toying with the idea of making a baby Bassinette using a pav recipe. Today I tried it out and used some baking paper to support the hood bit. Granted the baking paper prevented some parts from getting that crispy shell but all in all I am thrilled with how it turned out.

I am planning on filling it tomorrow and providing it lasts the night in one piece I will post a piccie of how I plan on decorating it.

Here are some piccies of it:

Thanks TMS, I hope it lasts ok through the night so I can decorate it, I am really really happy its worked. It was just an experiment idea that I had for my BFF's baby shower but I wanted to make a mock up to show her and see if she liked it. I'll colour some cream and chop the tops off some strawberries and use the tops a little way down as a sheet or something then cover the the rest with chopped strawberries to make a blanket ... could use bananas or anything though!!

    Thanks Ladies,

I have been sweating over how to do it but as someone once told me, you CAN do anything if really put your mind to it ...... it might have been a fluke too will have to have a few more "go's" to make sure it was not a one off thing LOL

Here is a rushed decorated Baby Bassinette Pavlova https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...1703-img-2764/

I think if I had a bit more time I'd chop the strawberries up smaller and possibly even do some as a puree that could poured cold over the top of the blanket bit but for the purpose of the experiment I am happy with the result.
